Came in with water in a stainless steel bottle. Large jacked bouncer near the door asks«whats in that?» I reply with«water» which was actually what was contained within. He asks me to pour it out and points to the outside. I go ahead and pour it into the trash can outside. The guy flips out and starts yelling at me for placing it in there. I just wanted to meetup with my friends before the game. That was completely uncalled for and really ruined my mood. I just quickly shuffled past him and into the bar not saying a word. If I was the manager I would fire him immediately for talking to customers like that.

Staff had an attitude fit for a Wrigleyville bar. You can’t have the door man standing outside begging people to come in and then have rude employees on the inside.

Had an amazing time, enjoying. the day off with a few colleagues of Bob’s Discount Furniture. Sox didnt get the victory but we received free appetizers from social club along with free tees! Drinks were reasonably priced for a sports bar in the stadium. waitress was very nice and very understanding of our need!

I had the opportunity to try ChiSox again and they make improvements since the last time I was there. I ordered my favorite ribs again and to my surprise I was surprised, the box opened up with fries sticking out of them and a generous slather of sauce. This place is always busy with people going and coming from the game. Thank you ChiSox!

My wife and I came here before the Sox v. Toronto game earlier this year and I loved the wings, and she ordered some egg thing which she also said was really good! The place was decorated nicely in sports memorabilia, and the service was quite nice as well. I just wish they’d drop the super lame name.

Took FOREVER to get served. That’s for every round of beer. We were constantly empty. Took over 30 min to get bill … And it was incorrect. No Bud Light. $ 7 for 12 oz beers. Ridiculous. This place has nothing on Wrigleyville.

We stopped in for a bite to eat before going to the WhiteSox game. This place is a hidden gem. There were not a a lot of people but a fair amount enjoying beers before game time. We ordered the Beef Brisket Nachos and were they fabulous. They didn’t just put all the good stuff on the top, after eating for a while we hit untapped chips. peeled them away to a fresh layer of toppings… warm and gooey. We loved the service and the price. Definitely will be returning.

This place is not great. They don’t let you sample beer but will allow you to send back a full beer if you don’t like it. Makes sense. The nachos came out with mounds of unmelted cheese. Weird. The server was good though. She saved our experience. And we were randomly kicked out before the game was over as the place surprisingly shut down for no reason. So we had to chug our beers and leave the bar immediately. So weird.

I am giving this place 4 stars, because this place has really changed since it was Bacardi at the Park. The menu was curated and designed by the Gibson’s restaurant group, and they definitely have some unique and delicious options for ballpark food. Walking in, the bar is pretty big and spacious, with a sit in bar circling all the way around the middle area where the bartenders make the drinks, and then tables scattered around that. There are also outdoor seating areas in the front, and in the back lining 35th street. Our waiter was very nice and friendly and my brother and I both ordered Chisox Mules(moscow mules). They were pricey at 10 $, but I mean, you’re grabbing a drink at a ballpark so what do you expect? I’d rather pay 10 $ for a well made cocktail than 7 or 8 $ for a bud-light. My brother got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the buffalo chicken wrap. The prices are pretty much the same as you would expect from a regular restaurant. The pulled pork sandwich was 9.75, and they have burgers for 11 $. They offer wines for 6 $ and have a more than reasonable children’s menu with items for 3 $ and 4 $. The portion sizes are fair and the food was good. Both our sandwiches came with a side of fries and coleslaw. I would definitely come back here to eat and drink before a Sox game if I’m not tailgating, as the prices are somewhat cheaper than inside the Cell, you can actually sit and enjoy your meal, and they have different menu items if you want something besides nachos or a hot dog.

Still trying to figure out what does waitresses do? After you sit yourself and wait for about 5 minutes. They’ll come by and take your drink order, then when they come back to deliver your drinks. You have to stop them before they leave so you can order your food. Food doesn’t take long, but they do not deliver your food. Someone in the kitchen does. You see all the girls at the bar mingling and not worried about their customers. You have to be more then cute to be a decent waitress. With that said, atmosphere is great, food is OK. Very convenient since the stadium is across the street.

Came here before a sox game ofcourse. Fyi I’m a Cubs fan, and say what u want but wrigleys pre and post game environment is on another level. Besides tailgating this seems the the closet spot to grab a beer and some grub. The place is beautiful, modern clean, cool. Not cheap, no deals, but good food and fun atmosphere. One thing I don’t get is they didn’t play the sox game when we were there? They were playing the masters on every tv? That just doesn’t make sense to me. But this place is legit, they need more places like this by us cellular feild

We sat for quite awhile before anyone noticed us but once we got service it went well. The food is always quick and tastes good! It did take quite awhile to get the check though. We did love the excitement of a Sox win and half price appetizers. Not sure what the need for bathroom attendants is, I really don’t feel it is necessary to tip the person that hands me paper towel.

There are not a lot of pre-game dining options near Comiskey Park(it will never be US Cellular Field to us). We were very early so we decided to check it out. A pleasant surprise and would rate it 3 and ½ stars. Seasoned chips with nice salsa and great guacamole started us off. My husband had the 3 filet medallion sliders for $ 15 and they were very good and tender. Served with fries. I ordered the shrimp po boy. Having been to New Orleans over 35 times I know that there are none better. But I was feeling nostalgic amid our upcoming trip to Mardi Gras. It wasn’t awful. 5 decent shrimp, lettuce, tomato and seasoned mayo. The problem is always the bread. This was decent but not quite right. Our waiter was terrific and creative in saving us money, refilling drinks, etc… We would come back again. They were very nice to us Twins fans.

When looking at the map of the US Cellular field area, there is a lack of pre-gaming facilities. ChiSox it was for drinks and food before the game. It took a while to find a waitress. Then a while longer to obtain drinks. Then much longer to get our food. Then another 20 minutes to pay the bill. I ordered a $ 13 chopped salad advertising sunflower seeds, a few other healthy toppings, and bacon. Even though the salad did arrive chopped, the toppings were lacking and the dressing was incorrect(ranch, instead of raspberry vinaigrette). I got the attention of our waitress and discussed the dressing situation. She guaranteed the chef put on the correct dressing, even though the color, texture and later taste proved otherwise. At that point, I put the fork in, and argued no more. I just wanted to eventually get to the baseball game next door. Looking back, it would probably be quicker and cheaper to eat inside the ball park.

This bar is an amazing disappointment. Every time we come for a post game brew, we are rushed out the door. They offer half priced appetizers but the ability to flag down a server at the bar is nearly impossible before they announce last call. The food is decent but not sure it is worth the hassle. As a former northside resident, I am baffled by the lack of service and willingness to serve the patrons of the ballpark. This place is only open on games days and to be honest, I’m not sure why they bother. This could be a great post game spot for southsiders wanting to hang out before going home but there is zero interest in developing any sort of relationship with this fan base.

Just had the buffalo wrap. Seriously amazing! There are no wraps on the menu but one of the girls that worked here said she can ask the kitchen to make it a wrap. Damn!

I went here prior to the game on April 25th. I was able to get a seat right away, arriving about 90 minutes before the game. The food and drink selection is pretty good and different from inside the ballpark. It’s a good place to go prior to the game if you don’t want to tailgate, and if you get a decent server. The prices/quality are more consistent with a decent bar than with a ballpark. I’m giving it 3 stars, however, because the service was not so great. The waitress came by right away to get our drink order. It went downhill after that. The place wasn’t that busy. It took about 3 minutes to come back with our beers, but we each also ordered a water(mine with no ice). The beers got dropped off and the waitress ran away like she had to go save a baby from a burning building, so we didn’t get to follow up on our water that she was supposed to bring as well. We asked the waitress from the table next to us to assist. She went off to get our waters. 10 minutes later, our actual waitress came back and brought our waters. She forgot that I asked for mine without ice. Next, she took our food order. I was going to order a pulled pork sandwich. I asked if it came with barbecue sauce, and she said she can bring some out with the sandwich. Someone from the kitchen brought out our food, and there was no bbq sauce with my sandwich. I waited about 5 minutes for our waitress, who was helping the larger table next to us, and at this point was all but ignoring us. She walked away without acknowledging us. We once again tracked down the waitress from the other nearby table, and I asked her for bbq sauce. She said she would speak to our waitress to make sure she brought it out. Another 10 minutes pass. At one point I saw our waitress just organizing stuff at the little waitstaff station, so I guess that takes priority over customers??? By this time my girlfriend finished her sandwich, and I haven’t eaten anything because seriously, who eats a pulled pork sandwich with nothing on it. My girlfriend again tracked down the nearby waitress(not our waitress) who immediately told our waitress we needed bbq sauce. She brought it over pretty quickly after that. We again had to track down the second waitress to get the check. Our waitress wouldn’t even look at us. We didn’t give her evil glares or anything. It seems like she just gave up on serving us to focus on her bigger table. She got a 5% tip from me. I was going to give this 2 stars based on the service, but the fact that the second waitress was nothing but helpful when we had to go out of our way to request her help bumped me to 3 stars.

Don’t come here expecting haute cuisine or cheap menu prices. Come here before the game if you don’t want to tailgate, but don’t want to enter the field just yet. Prices are somewhat cheaper than inside the stadium, so that’s a plus! Ordered chips, guac and salsa as an «appetizer» to our in-stadium hot dogs, and I gotta say they were fantastic! The chips were seasoned and delicious, and I could have drank the salsa(even if it may have come straight from a jar). Don’t expect much, it IS a bar right outside the stadium, but what are your other options to pre-game? It’s a neat spot to relax before the game starts!

Service was less than desirable. Bloody Mary’s were straight out of the zing zang jar. Food selection is typical bar fare, nothing really great about this place other than it being across the street from the baseball field.

This sports-themed restaurant is now called ‘ChiSox Bar & Grill’ after having lost its Bacardi sponsorship, but the menu and atmosphere hasn’t changed. I came here for the unofficial grand-opening of the«new» place, and all food and drinks were comped because my old man and I have been season’s ticket holders for the past decade. So naturally, we dined like kings. Had we been legitimate kings holding unlimited power, however, we would have demanded that the chef be tarred and feathered. …Okay, maybe that’s a tad extreme, but the food was definitely sub-par. Considering the(over)prices, the quality was not good. Keep in mind, everything I ordered was on the house – all patrons that evening drank and dined for free. ~NOMS~ I started with a «roasted» corn on the cob. Late March is not the peak season for corn, and while I could tolerate the lack of yummy juicy corniness, I could NOT deal with the fact that it was served cold. Like, less than room temperature, as if it just came out of the fridge. This glaring oversight cost them a star, at least. It’s normally $ 4. Bleh. I continued on with chopped brisket tacos(three of them, normally priced @ $ 9, so $ 3 per taco). They were marginally okay. There are two BBQ sauces on the table so you can slather on as much as needed for the less-than-flavorful dishes. From there, I placed an order for the chicken tenders(@ $ 9.75) and cheese fries($ 7). Tenders were served with buffalo and blue cheese dipping and tasted decent, but the fries were easily the best thing I had that night. Something so simple, yet it outshone everything else. They ran out of jalepeno cheddar bites, which I desperately wanted to sample. Sad face :( ~BOOZES~ A tall boy of IPA(read: good beer, not cheap domestic shit) will run you $ 8 – 9. Cocktails are upwards of $ 10. The margarita I got was STRONG, and while no where close to being worth $ 11, I’d get one of those before I even considered paying for a beer. ~BOTTOMLINE~ If it weren’t for the fact that this«demo night» included everything on their menu at no charge and somewhat-attentive service, this would be 2-star review at best. Yes, it’s essentially ballpark food, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t get a decent meal. The value here is appalling. Point in case: for twenty-five cents shy of ten bucks, you get 5 chicken tenders. That’s it. No fries and a side, no combo meal, nothing. Just tenders. Double-you-tee-eff. TL;DR – I ate and drank myself silly for absolutely no cost, and this place still gets 3 stars out of my easy-to-please self. I’ll probably wind up coming here to get the pulled pork nachos(without question the best thing they serve), but that’s likely all I’ll get. What you get for what you’re paying is in line with everything else at Sox park, Wrigley, the United Center, Soldier Field… that’s to say, ridiculous. Wasn’t too pleased, but I suppose it could be worse. That cold corn, though…*shudders*
