I don’t know what it is about this place exactly that I love so much. Me and my boyfriend have a great time each time we come here. We go to a lot of games during the spring/summer and early fall and every time we start and/or end our night right here. I’ve been to other sports bar so I really can’t tell you what it is tht makes this place special. I’ve had better food at other sports bars(although their brisket nachos are delicious) and cheaper drinks at other sports bars. Maybe it’s because this place is the only really convenient bar right outside the park(unlike Wrigley which has billions) or… I don’t even know. We just love this bar. I really wish that they would build more bars of this caliber near/around the stadium. U.s. Cellular is already a better stadium(seat, bathrooms, food and all around atmosphere), they just need to make a strip of party places like Wrigley to attract more costumers and give us more options.

In case anyone is searching for Bacardi at the Park, it is now going under the name«ChiSox Bar and Grill».

I suggested a name change for Unilocal!but they shot me down, so I guess I’m going to review this place that technically no longer exists(in name, at least). Whatevs. This sports-themed restaurant lost its Bacardi sponsorship and is now called ‘ChiSox Bar & Grill’, but the menu and atmosphere hasn’t changed. I came here for the unofficial grand-opening of the«new» place, and all food and drinks were comped because my old man and I have been season’s ticket holders for the past decade. So naturally, we dined like kings. Had we been legitimate kings holding unlimited power, however, we would have demanded that the chef be tarred and feathered. …Okay, maybe that’s a tad extreme, but the food was definitely sub-par. Considering the(over)prices, the quality was atrocious. Keep in mind, everything I ordered was on the house – all patrons that evening drank and dined for free. ~NOMS~ I started with a «roasted» corn on the cob. Late March is not the peak season for corn, and while I could tolerate the lack of yummy juicy corniness, I could NOT deal with the fact that it was served cold. Like, less than room temperature, as if it just came out of the fridge. This glaring oversight cost them a star, at least. It’s normally $ 4. Bleh. I continued on with chopped brisket tacos(three of them, normally priced @ $ 9, so $ 3 per taco). They were marginally okay. There are two BBQ sauces on the table so you can slather on as much as needed for the less-than-flavorful dishes. From there, I placed an order for the chicken tenders(@ $ 9.75) and cheese fries($ 7). Tenders were served with buffalo and blue cheese dipping and tasted decent, but the fries were easily the best thing I had that night. Something so simple, yet it outshone everything else. They ran out of jalepeno cheddar bites, which I desperately wanted to sample. Sad face :( ~BOOZES~ A tall boy of IPA(read: good beer, not cheap domestic shit) will run you $ 8 – 9. Cocktails are upwards of $ 10. The margarita I got was STRONG, and while no where close to being worth $ 11, I’d get one of those before I even considered paying for a beer. ~BOTTOMLINE~ If it weren’t for the fact that this«demo night» included everything on their menu at no charge and somewhat-attentive service, this would be 2-star review at best. Yes, it’s essentially ballpark food, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t get a decent meal. The value here is appalling. Point in case: for twenty-five cents shy of ten bucks, you get 5 chicken tenders. That’s it. No fries and a side, no combo meal, nothing. Just tenders. Double-you-tee-eff. TL;DR – I ate and drank myself silly for absolutely no cost, and this place still gets 3 stars out of my easy-to-please self. I’ll probably wind up coming here to get the pulled pork nachos(without question the best thing they serve), but that’s likely all I’ll get. What you get for what you’re paying is in line with everything else at Sox park, Wrigley, the United Center, Soldier Field… that’s to say, ridiculous. Wasn’t too pleased, but I suppose it could be worse. That cold corn, though…*shudders*

So this isn’t Wrigleyville and you won’t find too many options for pre and post game bar hangouts. I get it. However, Bacardi at the Park is a rather large place, large menu, full bar, keeps the festive attitude for the Sox fans going and caters to just about anyone. Rather than whine and cry about how Wrigleyville has sooo many bars, just take advantage of what is here. I’ve been here a few times with a group of people and always enjoyed it.

A multimedia baseball haven and certainly an improvement over most of the rest of the IMMEDIATE neighborhood, but it is expensive and the list of beer options could stand some improvement. All in all a good place to meet up with your fellow game attendees and catch up on all that’s going on in MLB. With the influx of fans before games, the place does get a little muggy in the summer, but there’s a good size beer garden with an outdoor beer bar or two. Oh and you can enter the park through their ‘back-door access’. Just be prepared from a cost standpoint… someone’s gotta pay for all those high-end TVs everywhere!

Seems like this place gets a bad rap, but I kinda like it. I think it was a great addition to the park. Sure prices are high, but its attached to a ball park, what do you expect?!? They let you go in and out during a game, which is a huge plus in my opinion. They have lots of tv’s, a huge liquor selection, and some food too. No complaints from me.

Come for the half priced appetizers and stay for the duration of time it takes to finish said appetizers. I really wanted to like this place at first because I thought it would be cool to go somewhere before or after a game. Unfortunately, this was not the place. I have no problem with it being called Barcadi At The Park, but I do have a problem with being below mediocre. Everything here seems way too sterile and polished. Sports bars should have some grit and personality to them. Also, I don’t think a sports bar needs a bathroom attendant. That’s stupid and unnecessary, and you feel like you’re being nickel and dimed. The signature Bacardi cocktails are very sugary and barely have liquor in them. I had the ribs once(half priced) and they weren’t bad at all. The other appetizers are pretty weak and a rip off if you pay full price for them. Good thing that all the appetizers are half off after every game. The only bathrooms are upstairs which is very absurd. GOSOX!!!

Life isn’t fair. That is why the mediocre cubs get more acknowledgment then the winning White Sox and that is why the White Sox fans are forced to go to this Sport Bar version of Applebee’s. Yes this bar has: tons of TVs tons of space tons of Bacardi concoctions tons of parking; but what it doesn’t have is tons of personality. To be connected to a great team and city with so much sports pride this place is a disgrace. Their beer selection is standard to sub par, their cocktails taste like the bartender forgot to ID you and their bathrooms require you to go through a maze of people, stairs as well as tip the attendant. In addition, their food isn’t good. As a deep fried enthusiast, I don’t ask for much, but when you have bad Chicken fingers that is unforgivable. Considering their appetizers are nearly always half off you can guess the quality level of the things on their menu. So yeah, I wish this bar was better repersentation of the great team it is connected to or just a better representation of the value of a dollar, would be a good start. Either way I will continue to come here to go to the bathroom before games and pass time while waiting for the first pitch. But after baseball season ends this place is dead to me.

3.5 this has been on my list to review for a minute. it’s huge. the list. and the bar. and it SHOULD be. it has to house hundreds of sexy fans. soxy fans. indoor and outdoor space — both of which i appreciate. if it rains, you’re covered. they have a nice patio space. service is okay — not great — but they are fighting crowds, randoms standing in random places. i say, stay at bar. and if you can get a table, great. food is not bad. i mean, it’s not a place to go get gourmet food. it’s place to meet your drunk friends, get drunk, and drink more. and watch baseball, of course. remember, this aint wrigley.

I really enjoyed Barcardi at the Park! I have gone there maybe 5 times during the past baseball season. It is always a good place to checkout before a Sox game! They have delicious food and moderate prices for the amount of food you get. I enjoyed the waitstaff a great deal. It is the kind of place where everyone works as a team to make sure you have napkins, a full drink and are totally satisfied, which myself and my friends were! I have had a couple different menu items here and enjoyed them all. My favorite was the pulled pork tacos they have a bit of a kick to them and I loved it! The bartender even bought my guy friend and I a shot since we were chatting with her. I have had nothing but positive experiences at this establishment and when the 2013 Sox season starts I will be here again for sure! Go Sox!!!

Stopped here before the Sox game to grab a drink and some food and I was impressed. There are two levels of seating with TVs on every wall so no matter where you sit you can see the game. We found a table and were immediately greeted and asked for what we would like to drink even though the place was full. The menu isn’t extensive but what it makes, they make well. I had the chipotle chicken tenders which thankfully were not drench in chipotle sauce as the sauce came on the side. The others I was with had the smoked turkey sandwich and the wings. They both devoured their meals in minutes so you know it had to be great if they didn’t even take the time to take a drink. We talked with the bartender and it turns out they will be open Thursday through Monday during the college and NFL football season but will not have to go by the normal prices so most drinks are half off.

In the past, the Chicago nine would finish vanquishing their rivals and I would no longer have the option of paying $ 8 for a beer served in a plastic cup. Let me tell you, fellow baseballers, those days are over. Now, not only can you pay ridiculous ballpark prices for beer, you can do it in a bar/restaurant that has actually sold its naming rights to Bacardi as the White Sox did to US Cellular. Formidable! You get the feeling that that the people who came up with this concept felt that they could benefit from the urban planning disaster of surrounding a ballpark with parking instead of letting it be part of the neighborhood. They also seem to have realized they can take advantage of the fear suburbanites may have of venturing to real White Sox bars such Shaller’s Pump, or even walking across the park to Cork and Kerry. All this could almost be tolerable for the convenience of not having to walk through the parking fields before getting more alcohol in my system and having a restroom nearby, but all comfort is shattered by the fact they have a restroom attendant. I really don’t feel I need any cologne after a ballgame and I probably can manage to grab my own paper towel. It’s an uncomfortable and weird situation to have a full time employee in the restroom. Somewhere, McCuddy is spinning in his grave.

Came here for a friends event last night and this place was pretty cool. We primarily hung out in the outside area which was very spacious and nice on a warm Saturday night. The inside was good as well as it had TVs everywhere and the music was rocking. I only drank cans of Stella… didn’t know they had it in cans. I would def love to have another opportunity to come back

Bacardi at the Park was surprisingly nice. It lacked the fun party ambiance of the Captain Morgan Club at Wrigley, but maybe it was just who was there that day. This is a great place to hang out before the game or to meet people before the game. Beer prices are fair and there is a good variety to choose from. The beef nachos were pretty awesome. Be advised that you cannot take aclohol from Bacardi in the Park into the stadium. The gatekeepers made a huge issue of stressing that the bar/restaurant is owned separately from the Cell.

Stopped in before the game and had a couple drinks and some food. Wasn’t bad, really liked the atmosphere and the layout. It was crowded but that’s to be expected. Plenty of tv’s to see everything and the food was good. Prices are just as expensive as in the park, once again though, too be expected. Service was pretty prompt and the beer was cold! Also a great place to hang out and have a few after the game outside in the fenced in patio area. Really love that the Sox got this added on, makes total sense and is great to have somewhere so close for pre and post game finally!

I can’t say too much about the place since we stayed for about 15 minutes. My boyfriend and I got 2 drinks each — pretty decent priced considering we were at a ballpark. Atmosphere was fun. There were a lot of people drinking and hanging around before the game… it would be a lot of fun with a big group of people. Seating outside and inside. It wasn’t too hard for us to sit at a table but in other occasions I bet you’d have to fight for a table.

This huge piece of real estate was extremely exciting to me when they were building it. The space is massive and beautiful and everything I hoped it would be. However, it was a pretty serious let down. The prices are the same as being in The Cell and there’s a very rare chance that you find a seat. If you can get a table and you’re ready to spend the fat cash then this place is nice with lots of giant tvs and a pretty decent menu. For everyone else I would basically recommend any of the other sports bars in the neighborhood over this one. Bacardi at the Park, I would probably give you 5 stars if you were open every other night besides Sox home games and lowered your prices a bit.

Seasoned pork Nachos with hot peppers, chihuahua cheese, tomatoes on top of lightly seasoned chips was great. Not life-changing Nachos, but top notch-(o)! Two of my buddies loved the pulled pork sandwich, and we all enjoyed great table service at the outside patio of Bacardi at the(Comiskey) Park. Note: Stadium prices rule the day, but go inside and you’ll stretch your beer dollar by getting a larger pour(16 oz for the price of 12 oz. in the patio). There are televisions outside as well as inside, and this is a great place to meet up before the game. Go Sox!

Another reason to go watch the Sox. Love this new bar at the ballpark to hang out before, during, and after the game. Don’t need a tx to get in and has an awesome selection of food and drink. Has plenty of seating inside(in two floors) and a big outdoor deck. Try the brisket nachos with an ice-cold tecate.

New addition to the Chicago White Sox Stadium(U.S. Cellular Field) located at Gate 5, this bar and grill serves up angus beef burgers, smoked barbecue baby back ribs, pulled pork and beef brisket, just to name a few from their menu. I could not resist and had to try out the ribs and some smokehouse maple chicken wings which was smoky, zesty, juicy and finger lick’n good and washed it all down with a large selection of beers. What made this experience enjoyable was the 50+ flat screen TV’s plastered along the perimeter of the bar. The prices were high but is expected because of the proximity of the stadium. The service was not impeccable and was not expecting them to be. I will definitely come back here again, before and after the game. Also, you don’t need a game ticket, it is open to the public. Metra and the red line is a block away.
