Fantastic service!!! I was weary about where to go to check prices for some jewelry my late mother-​in-​law had left laying around. It’s been a year since she passed and while going through some things we realized we had a lot of jewelry. We kept most of it but some of the charms and other things we would never use or we would never pass on to our kids we decided to sell. I live in Pilsen and I was weary about going to a local-​store so I hopped on Unilocal.I found Chicago Pawn and it had a five-​star rating so I decided to go for it. Needless to say I was NOT disappointed. I got so much more than I had imagined. The owner behind the counter said, «See even beyond the grave your mother-​in-​law has your best interest,» and he was absolutely right! He made it personal and he made it quick and wonderful. I can’t tell you how happy I am! I’ll definitely return should I need to and I would recommend it to all! It’s worth the travel. Thank you!!!

I was looking for a place to bring an old pair of earrings and necklace from my past that no longer needed to take up space in jewelry box and wasn’t sure where to go for an honest offer. I found Chicago Pawners on Unilocal and was really impressed by the reviews so I came in. Everyone was super friendly and I got a SUPER awesome offer. way more than I had expected. The entire process was so easy that I kept looking around for ideas of what else I could sell. thank you for being so kind and honest!

I have never bought or sold anything in a pawn shop before. I had some old estate jewelry that I had been meaning to try to sell and Ebay just seemed too hard to manage.
Staff were courteous and explained the entire process to me. In the end, I think I got a very fair price for my jewelry and I will definitely bring more.

Best pawn shop and nicest guys in all of Chicago! My boyfriend Dan and I go in there all the time and having been going there for 3 years and each time it’s a great experience. They have great deals on all the stuff and the highest quality electronics, jewelry and other merchandise. Also if you are pawning or selling something they are really fair and honest with and they are also funny. Pretty much anytime you walk in there its a welcoming friendly environment. The lines are never too long and there is always someone to help you out. Not only are their personalities better than Royal but the establishment is also much bigger, has more variety and they’ve been around since 1953. Plus they’ll give you two months for most things. This is the place you need to go to in Chicago. Also parking is way easier.

I’ve always considered pawn shops as a front to somehow make hustling legal, but I suppose their business is a hustle, hence all the bad experiences people complain about. Go in knowing their game, call them on their ‘ish, and the game is played fair, with the hustlee breaking even on his way out. They don’t pretend to lose your things, they abide by every sign and rule written tin the store, and remember who you are, even if you’ve been there once. Not that I’m a regular at pawn shops, but from what I’ve seen, I’d have to say these guys are on their game, in addition to making people happy. I’d recommend it. They’re efficient and quick. In and out… that’s how I like to do things with stores like that. You know your stuff is safe, and it’s always there in the same condition when you come back. Highly recommend them.

I owe a million thanks to Chicago Pawners and Jewelers! When several valuable musical instruments were stolen from my apartment, I never expected to see them again. I am a music student, aiming to become a professional orchestral musician, so the loss was devastating. About a month later, I got a call from the police, who told me that my flutes had been recovered, thanks to Chicago Pawners and Jewelers. Paul, the owner, saw the flutes when someone brought them into the store, and was immediately curious about them. He did some research, found out that they were stolen, and made sure that they were returned to me. I am still awestruck by this wonderful act of honesty and kindness. I am really thankful for Paul and for Chicago Pawners and Jewelers!
