Champion Chicken

Sadly this place is closed now. I was able to have my birthday dinner from there and then a few weeks later the line was disconnected and the windows papered over. This is a real loss in the neighborhood. R.I.P. C.C.

Champion Chicken just opened and i couldn’t be happier. The Belmont Cragin area lacks a variety of «good-​for-​you» foods so its recent opening is a welcome one.
Champion Chicken is deliciously seasoned (probably marinated too) char broiled chicken. If you are familiar with YaYa’s Chicken, that will get you close to the taste. I believe the style is greek and most meals are served with pita bread. They also serve burgers, gyros, and hot dogs, but i haven’t tried those yet. So far, the chicken has been great. It is also good to know that since it is grilled (right there in the store), it is a healthy choice.
In addition to being really tasty, it is also a great value. You can get a whole chicken w/​2 sides for $ 9. That is a meal for 2 for less than $ 10!
