Cesar’s knows what’s up!!! The smallest size margarita you can get is a large, which is kind of amazing. The mini burritos were cute and so good! Also, they’re really good about filling up your water glass. Gotta love it.

I’ve heard about this place for awhile and I live relatively close to the one on Clark but ended up at the one on Broadway. I’ve been hesitant to stop in based on the reviews and its service. I will say I was pleasantly surprised but not overwhelmingly so. Our food was good. We started with chips and salsa that was really tasty. I had the super sized, yes it’s big, burrito with pork and my friend had the naked burrito bowl. The worst thing we ingested(to the best of our knowledge) were the margaritas. For all I know there was no alcohol in them and were really sugary– we just had the regular ones on the rocks. Everything was very reasonably priced. I would come back for the food, but may do beer instead next time.

Cesar’s Average Margaritas… this place is for rookies who don’t mind stale chips and having to season their own guacamole. It’s always a letdown when I get guacamole that doesn’t even taste as good as what I could make at home. The only reason this isn’t 1 star is bc at least the service was fine.

This Cesar’s is fair. Not bad. The Mexican food is good; it’s your average Mexican restaurant, nothing special. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is casual. The service is usually good and the staff is friendly. It’s a good place to grab a bite to eat and have fun with friends or a group. The Sopa de Fideo is excellent! Drinks are okay too, and I’d come back.

3 stars because the food was just average but at the same time pretty pricey. The only thing actually delicious and worth the cost is their frozen margaritas. I really liked the raspberry and strawberry margarita. Don’t be a dummy, make sure you know about happy hour deals or else you’ll end up paying $ 12 for a cup of marg.

Since the very moment I saw the neon sign, I knew this place was a hangover in the making. I finally got a chance to test out my theory on a random Friday night. Cesars is a huge place with three different rooms. Every time I’ve walked past the place and when I visited it was packed. No matter what day you decide to visit. The atmosphere definitely gives off a great vibe. This is the ultimate place to go when you want to get together with a group of friends or before going out for a night of festivities. I will admit that I didn’t have any expectations for the food but I was pleasantly surprised. I love that they offer free chips and salsa because I always end up coming to restaurants when I’m on the verge of gnawing on my arm. I ordered the mini burritos with the standard sides and when you see these burritos for the first time you will understand why they say mini-burritos. I would only recommend these burritos for kids because they are around the same price as the regular sized burritos but they will leave you wanting more. My friend and I ordered a couple margaritas because when in Cesars Killermargaritas you order a margarita! Unfortunately the waitress kept forgetting our margaritas when she came to our tables but we saw the tables that had sat down before us get their drinks. We ended up having to go to the bar to ask for our drinks and after we did that she was reminded to get our drinks. I’ll admit it was a busy night but I think it was mostly her just being too overwhelmed with the amount of people. When we finally got the margaritas I was not surprised by the quality of the margaritas. They don’t use the tequila from the bottom of the shelf but from the old dusty shack in the back of the house. It was absolutely disgusting! I should’ve saw the red flags when you see people chugging the drink just to get it over with because the drinks are not too cheap. The food was delicious overall so I would definitely come back for the food but might pass on the margaritas.

Killermargaritas. Literally. It’s in the name. This place has great(and very strong) margaritas — I ordered the large frozen peach margarita and my friend ordered the large strawberry margarita on the rocks with a sugar rim. I’d recommend getting the margaritas frozen since it doesn’t get watered down like on the rocks and it stays cold for a longer period of time. Also note that a large margarita comes in clear plastic cups. The food here is good and tastes like authentic Mexican food — we ordered the beef burrito and beef tostados. Only giving this place 4 stars because the patio is cash only and the food and drinks are a bit on the pricier side. A large margarita is $ 12, mega margarita is $ 16 and pitcher is $ 38. We had to run to an ATM twice because pulling out $ 40 for both of us wasn’t enough. But they do give you a complementary tequila shot after you pay.

VERY impressed by this place! Great food and margs! Highly recommend the Orange Passion Pommerita! Also got complimentary chips and salsa, soup AND shots at the end of our meal! Give it a try! You won’t regret it!

Calling all«Gringos» I’d come back for the Margaritas for sure. Waiters and bartender were great. Food was ok. Not your place if your looking for authentic Mexican food.

I love this place!!! I’m not sure about some of the other reviews about this place but it was great. The margarita was on the money. I mean that one literally. It was like 12 dollars for a regular margarita and 16 for a mega… Needless to say I got a frozen guava margarita and my friend got a frozen peach. Both was blended to perfection by our hostess/server/bartender named Pedro. He was the jack of all trades at that location and super friendly. Which I can totally appreciate. So Pedro if your reading this, thank you for being a great waiter. Anyway both my friend and I ended up getting a super burrito. I got the steak and they got the chicken. I don’t know about my friend and I cannot speak on their behalf but my steak burrito was delicious. It was full of seasoning and spices. It had the works. It was a great experience and the drinks are to die for… I will be back soon.

Stopped in at Ceasars on a Friday evening for the obvious: Margaritas and some Mexican food. It was our second time here but our first time ordering food, so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the bar(full of booze) and atmosphere(casual). After a million refills of house-made chips and salsa(keep ‘em coming), we ordered the Quesadilla Basket($ 8) to start, and it came with a bean dip and sour cream on the side. It was about what you expect from cheese melted on tortillas, but arrived to our table on the cold side. Congealed cheese is not a big favorite, so they lost some flavor points there. For dinner we ordered the steak enchiladas suizas with red sauce($ 15) and the veggie taco dinner($ 12). The food was pretty good — it arrived hot with large and well-seasoned portions, but the steak was dry dry dry. The prices are a little high for the quality, but our waitress ended up taking the quesadilla off our bill(without us asking), so whatever points they lost in quesadillaology she made up for in service. Overall, the service was a little slow, but when our waitress was around she was proactive, friendly, and attentive. A large group seated near us seemed to be having a lot of issues with figuring out their orders, so I assume that was probably taking up a lot of her time. It was Friday and she seemed to have a pretty big chunk of the floor to herself. I get it. The margaritas were the highlight of the night, so the giant neon margarita outside wasn’t false advertising as far as we were concerned. They’re not the best margaritas you’ll have in your life, but they’re above average for the northside bar scene. We went for a pitcher of blended mango and it was everything we needed and more. I might never go back to traditional lime again. Also, if you’re looking to upgrade your margarita experience, you can always swap your alcohol for a charge. I’d give Ceasars a solid 3 if it weren’t for the oh-so-plentiful chips and salsa and giant margaritas — but especially because of our waitress. She clearly had a lot going on but still tried to make sure we had the best experience possible. We’ll definitely be back to check this place out again in the summer months for some more patio and margarita action!

Mexican music over the loud speakers, not too loud just right. Downstairs could be used for 15 — 20 person private party. Burrito is regular size. Decent price for sit down Mexican place. Would go back, especially with a lively group.

Killer margs… or nah. It’s dece: free chips, margaritas that satiate your alcoholic thirst, and sub-par faux Mexican delights. Do yourself a favor and pour some Mexican beer into your marg. Thank me later.

Finally got a chance to try this Cesars location. The other one involved the security getting into an altercation with a guest from a group there that was extremely roudy and rambunctious! That’s neither here nor there. Anywho! Good, cheap Mexican food. I had a chicken torta. Doesn’t come with rice though, so be aware of that. Free salsa and chips until that ish is coming out of your ears and you are doing the merengue in the middle of the restaurant. I also had an 1800 flight: three different types of 1800. Quite delish. And me and my friends split a pitcher of blood orange pomegranate margarita. The pitcher ran us about $ 34. Eh… we each got about 3 smedium sized glasses out of it. Good enough I guess. Great spot to go to if you’re casually strolling the neighborhood or have a big group for a festive Mexican ambiance.

I’ve been coming to Cesar’s for years and finally decided to write a review. This place is a must try if you enjoy free chips and salsa, like good Mexican food and LOVE margaritas! The waiter/waitress keep the free chips coming throughout your time there which is a plus because they are good. Everything I’ve eaten here has been spot on, but my favorite menu item is the Super Burrito. It’s huge and helps keep you somewhat sober as you chug down the margaritas. And speaking of margaritas, Cesar’s has some of the best. There are multiple flavors and I’ve tried them all. My favorites are guava and banana… and I recommend you try them both. The only down side of this place is that they no longer offer the margaritas is size: large, mega jumbo and pitcher. Now they just do large and pitcher

I have given this place too many chances. The first time I came I made excuses for them. This time there is no excuse. I used a Groupon(thankfully). I love Mexican food. The food here just isn’t good at all, very plain flavors. Mexican food is known to be flavorful, they need to revamp the recipes. The killer margaritas are nothing but sugar! The only killer thing about the margaritas is that it may give you diabetes. The margaritas are way over priced($ 11 and up). I been disappointed each time I come. They always seem to be busy, and I think is just because of the Groupon. If you want to try it, get the Groupon to save money. 2 stars because Groupon saved me money.

I have been here once… So here are some things to help you decide: When I walked in there was a sign saying our credit card machine is down. Immediately the hosted pointed me to the ATM. Okay, I’ll get cash, but as the night went on since we sat near the computer we saw servers taking credit cards. Weird. But as I read former reviews on Unilocal getting ready to post mine I noticed a pattern… that the forms of payment seems to be an issue and the excuses changes regularly… Seems suspicious. The restrooms were small and there is one bathroom. For the amount of ppl that come to the establishment this can’t be legal. I’m sure zoning regulations aren’t being met. They weren’t to clean… Apparently the restaurant was an old apartment building. Pretty crafty idea to model it into a restaurant. :-) Server was nice but took her a while to take the order, bring needed items… Went on a week night. It wasn’t that busy. I called ahead to make a reservation and was informed they don’t make reservations. Yet I’m eating my dinner… Refer to the photo of the reserved sign in the seat next to me! Wow The food was pretty good. I had the fish tacos. The portion was okay. The monster margaritas aren’t monster! You can go to Lalos in the south loop and get more alcohol for cheaper! Overall I question the honestly levels. I don’t blame the staff they follow orders but I question management. If your not honest with basics what else are you covering up? I won’t return!
