I don’t typically write reviews unless I’ve had a really bad experience. This would be the case with c-us cleaners. I have been going here for over a year and I didn’t have any issues, until a couple weeks ago. When I dropped off my blouse I pointed out a spot that had some food stains on it and she marked it with tape so that it could be cleaned. When I picked it up, I noticed that the stain was still there so I went back the next day. She said it wasn’t her fault but she would clean it again.(I still didn’t have any issues at this point.) I dropped off another blouse and when I took the plastic cover off to check, I noticed a run/tears in my blouse. I was really upset bc this was an expensive blouse. When I went back to ask her why there was a run in my blouse she said it wasn’t her fault and she started getting defensive. I was trying to be polite at first but she gave me a glare and started raising her voice. She said that if I’m going to buy expensive stuff I should wear it with better care. I was appalled at this response considering I just opened it from its packaging. I asked her if she didn’t ruin the shirt, if she could call the company that actually cleaned the shirt.(With dry cleaning places, there are drop off locations and actual cleaning locations. This was a drop off, meaning that a third party comes to pick up all the clothes to have it cleaned at their factory.) she kept saying that it was her fault. Then she said that I was being ridiculous and said that what I was asking was an impossible task. I told her that all I wanted was for someone to pay the cost of the damage but she said that it was my fault and that I was a picky customer. I would like to think that I am an objective person, but there is no way that I was at fault in this situation and I want to prevent others from the possibility of having their clothes damaged and mistreated. I am all about supporting small businesses, but this business should not stay opened.

Based on service, quality, and price, I guess this play is okay. I would go back, but not before expanding my horizon a few blocks to see if I can better service or something of the sorts at the same or lower price point. I don’t have a lot to say. the lady wasn’t the friendliest at least I had a print out in advance of what the charges were so I could have still changed my mind. Now what I did find entertaining was that I asked her how much it was to clean a comforter and I felt like she pulled a number out of her head. different than was posted below and definitely higher than some other locations.

This cleaners should have NOSTARS. This is the most overpriced cleaners in the entire city. I dropped off my down coat for cleaning to the owner who was very rude. She told me that it would be $ 42.00 to clean my down coat. I told her that was very expensive but she assured me that everyone charges that much and since I was hurrying to work I left it. After doing research NOONE charges $ 42.00 to clean a down coat. So I called to ask that my coat be returned to me and not cleaned because her prices were unreasonable. The owner SCREAMED at me on the phone that it was already taken to the plant and she couldn’t get it back. I asked her to lower her voice and she continued screaming. I informed her that I was coming back for my coat this evening and that I expect it to be there when I return. I have never experienced such terrible service in my life. I will definitely be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and telling everyone I can about how TERRIBLE this cleaners is. It amounts to nothing less than Highway Robbery.

Just moved here from California and got super lucky. I haven’t got her name just yet(will do so on my next visit) but she is absolutely awesome. Been here twice: First time was to dry clean 4 of my dress shirts. She asked how I liked my starch(which I said light) and told me to pick it up two days later. Sorry, don’t remember the price for my own stuff because I had also brought my gf’s blouse and like a gazillion different other pieces =/But the result was phenomenal. Total of 10 items of various articles for a total of $ 30. Second time was to sew a patch onto my Kobe Bryant jersey which she did for $ 8. Amazing job. I later sold this jersey for $ 300. Funny what a little patch can do. C-US is probably not the cheapest dry cleaner but it’s like 28 steps from my apartment and she’s very motherly. Well, to me at least. I love this place and will continue going until otherwise.

I’ve been taking my work clothes here for just over 2 years. It may not be the cheapest cleaners in town(there’s always a deal somewhere), but I really like the owner. She does a great job with everything I bring her and she is always flexible on pick up dates. She greets me with a smile and I truly believe she enjoys her work. The owner is one of the reasons I enjoy coming here and as long as I’m in the area I will continue to bring my dry cleaning items to this cleaners.
