I have been stopping in to Burrito House for the past 6 months with regular frequency. It’s exactly what it should be. Whether it’s for a quick lunch or a late night bite, Burrito House met all of my requirements. It’s generally quick(but does get busy around lunch time). It’s tasty(I usually go for the burritos or tacos of any flavor). It’s reasonably priced(5 – 6 bucks for a beastly burrito). Temper your expectations and enjoy a decent Mexican meal.

I woke up today at 8:30 am. Was a rough start since I went to bed in the am, ya know? Was overall a good day, I had too much homework to be able to go to work so that kinda stinks but that’s how life goes goes ha ha! I did my reading/reflection And Essay for my class and wrapped up some other hw. Felt good. I made way too much tortellini for lunch but that’s all right live a little ha ha! I finished up the latest episode of Into The Badlands(research for work) and then played some Invisible Inc. good game ! After that I wanted some Din so I headed over to burrito house and ordered the 2 Taco Dinner(everything, chorizo, no drink) from my boy Samuel. It’ll probably taste the same as always

Shocked I never wrote a review, so I’ll do it now. Not to forget, the sister location at Elston/Kimball(used to be Addison/Kedzie, till that one moved this year to the ex-Chang’s Chinese Restaurant space) is also great as well, and are the same owner behind both locations. So this review also applies to that one. Great friendly staff, food is great, and I’ve never had a bad meal here. Eaten here both sober and while I was a little buzzed, and it’s been a staple to come back again and again to here for years. They even don’t mind my special requests too, such as no cilantro if an item normally comes with that. And of course, it’s open very late just about every night(dunno about holidays like say, Christmas). I have trouble figuring out if I like this place or Tony’s Burrito Mex more, but a moot point, since both are great. Do also know too that the burritos come in 2 sizes(junior or king size), so order accordingly. And like another Unilocaler said, a king will be all you need foodwise, if you’re extra hungry and/or buzzed or drunk. And when I’ve tried the things that are the more hidden and less ordered Mexican items(i.e. chimichangas, chilaquiles), they still were decent, if a tad spicy(in the case of their chilaquiles). And remember if you drive here, to always park on Lincoln. Do NOT chance parking in the Dunkin Donuts lot under any circumstances, or else your car will be towed!

Fabulous! I stumbled into the burrito house after seeing their decent reviews on Unilocal, and was absolutely impressed. It was hands down one of the most flavorful and filling burritos, not to mention quality, I’ve had in awhile. Will definitely be back!

For fast Mexican food, this place is really good. It’s a lot better(and cleaner) than King Burrito on Addison and Western.

Monday night ritual: 1 chorizo taco, 1 chicken taco, 1 al pastor. Chips and guacamole. Maybe a horchata. Total bill: maybe $ 11.00. Amount of food — too damn much. Go home and watch American Ninja Warrior. Eat your tacos and think about how you shouldn’t eat tacos if you ever want to do the kind of stuff the ninjas do. Decide you don’t care and finish your tacos. Rinse and repeat because this is your favorite local taco joint, and they don’t make fun of you when you also show up stumbledrunk on a random Thursday at 3am for your usual order, or when you show up at 11:00am hungtheheckover on a Sunday for your usual order.

First time here. Came about 3:45am on a Saturday. Has the Chicken Taco Special(3 tacos for $ 5.95 plus tax). These guys only speak Espanol… which is Great! But they understand English! Only took him 5 mins to cook the tacos and boy… they were just perfect! Meat was tender and tasty! Ambience is not that great but… food was a hit!

I did not expect a lot from Burrito House, but I think we found our new neighborhood jam. The burrito was one of the more flavorful burritos that I have had in Chicago. This is on par with Tony’s Burrito Mex and Angela’s. My wife got the fish taco dinner and that was solid as well. It is a ton of food for a very reasonable price. My only complaint is that the salsa was incredibly hot. I like all things hot, but it was borderline unpalatable. Even still we will be coming here whenever we get the Mexican itch. This is more than just a late night eatery.

The steak quesadilla was absolutely amazing. Best quesadilla I’ve ever had. It was crispy with the perfect amount of seasoning.

Get the chicken or steak quesadilla. The meat is perfectly seasoned and the quesadillas are perfectly sized. The green sauce is awesome. Very friendly staff.

Been going here occasionally for the last 4 years. Never been impressed with the food, or overly disappointed, until Saturday. Decided that some late night burritos were a necessity, and BH was convenient. Ordered a pastor burrito. After eating about half the burrito, I came to the decision that the flavor was more bland than normal. A quick dissection of the burrito and I found what was most certainly a maple seed, those helicopter seeds that fall out of trees once a year. After this discovery and seeing the rest of the lettuce having a mulchy brown quality, I decided to cut my losses and leave. This place is typically a 2.5 star establishment, but the presence of mulch makes it a solid 1 star.

I love EVERYTHING about this place, except the fact that my ex brought me here for the first time. Even that doesn’t stop me from going here. Their food is really good. And bonus, this place is open very late. Amazing late night burrito place!

The few times I’ve had the food here I was intoxicated. I might not have passed a field sobriety test but I sure as hell could tell you that the food here is GREAT. From the chicken burritos, to tostadas and quesadillas, I’ve never had a bad meal here. The staff is always friendly, more friendly than I would be dealing with drunk people on a nightly basis. The food is always fresh off the grill and that can take a little time. If the place is busy you’ll have to wait for your food. But just think about how good it will be once it’s finally in front of you! Mexican food is a hangover cure in my opinion.

The best! Why you ask? It’s because of the people. Show up a little drunk, or entirely sober. They’ve always taken care of my hangry, and they do it with a smile. Great guys, cooking up some satisfying standards. You won’t be sorry!

Its open late, so stars right there. I didn’t see this famous bathroom art, unless the other reviewers werre referring to the door handle in the restroom, which was indeed ornate. But the restroom was clean, which I’ve been taught is a good indicator of restaurant cleanliness. Friendly staff. It’s not McDonald’s fast, but I thought it was fast enough. They have lots of options on the menu, both types of food and fillings. They have junior burritos, which is perfect for a small meal, and you’re not stuck with a messy leftover half of a burrito manage, so that’s excellent. The California burrito was what I’m used to, with rice, beans, steak and onions. Most of the other burritos didn’t include rice or beans. The tortillas were grilled and nice and crispy on the outside. There’s a nice big seating space, and it’s a comfortable late-night beacon on Lincoln.

So I was walking around the area, stomach empty, running an errand circa 8pm when the oasis of Burrito House came to the rescue. They are quick, efficient and basically like the Jimmy John’s of Mexican food. I called, ordered on the phone, was told«pick up in five minutes» walked in and sure enough was ready to scoop up my take out box. Five minutes tops. Maybe I was lucky. I’ve been here twice, both times for carry out orders. On the first go I had a jr-sized steak burrito($ 5.04) enough to be filling. The«junior» size is smaller than a chipotle burrito(like its kid brother) but I haven’t tried their king size yet. That will be for another hungry day. The second time I ordered a steak torta dinner combo($ 9.04) and was quite happy with it. I’ve never had a torta before… And why did I just discover them now? The one I had at Burrito House was like a huge burger, with all the usual extras, toms, lettuce, sour cream(cheese is available too) and it was overflowing. The gigantic torta must have weighed a pound :) it was either amazing or I was really hungry but… Tortas are necessary in life. This place is not a white table cloth venue. They are open late(2am) and the times I’ve gone here have been on a whim, while in a rush and needed some hearty food asap. This place has never failed in this way so far. If I wanted more of a sit-down place with a great ambiance I would head over to El Tapatio. But for quick service, last minute decisions and Mexican food purely for sustenance(we all need that sometimes) I would come here hands down.

I have fond memories of this place as we usually hit this place up late at night after a night out of town. I always get my usual, the Chimichanga Steak Dinner — it is always fried well, filled with steak cubes and cheese, a big dollop of guacamole and sour cream on top. They also have red and green hot sauces to complement your meal. The staff is friendly and I am a fan of their guacamole. It is a decent place to get a chimichanga craving if you do not wan to trek deep into the city. +Chimichanga Steak Dinner +open late
