Stopped in, after getting off of Bryn Mawr train. This place has a huge selection of jeans, underwear, shoes, and hats. My only complaint, is that some of the hats are very expensive.

They are indeed an urban clothing store, not just a shoe center as their name implies. They have a very large selection of shirts, pants, jeans, shoes, hats, and more. There is an interesting mix of designs and styles. I particularly like that they have bigger-guy sizes — I can never find jeans with a 34″ leg in normal stores. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the quality is okay. They have a very strict return/exchange policy: No returns, and exchanges withing 3 days, so make sure you like whatever you buy!

I’m being watched… Bryn Mawr Shoe Center sells more than shoes. They are a urban clothing store as well. This review is based off my experience here and working in a Korean-owned urban retail store for 3 years. I went in BMSC after two visits where I did not buy anything about 2 and 3 months ago. I needed some jeans for a quick event I had, so I knew this shop would be open and give me what I needed. Prices here are about what one would expect to find at any Asian-owned fashion appeal store, and can be negotiated if you buy enough items/spend enough money. Me: I just needed some jeans and saw a purple top I loved. Yep, I knew it was coming, me being followed like a hawk in the store. While the media will tell you this approach is to find out if you are stealing, this is really intended making sure you feel the worker on the floor is attentive to the customer, your needs, and to help you in selections; it get it. Again, I worked at a place like this, so I knew the lady worker was following me for this reason. Yet, the lady owner saw I was left unattended by her worker as she was helping someone else and started to follow me, This is a no-no; you could have watched me from the counter. That was my que to pay and leave. Returning to the counter when she saw I was about to pay, my sale was then rushed by the lady owner. She killed my experience at BMSC. If I need some urban clothing in a hurry to go out, then I will be back. Nevertheless, I will try to avoid Bryn Mawr Shoe Center due to customer service issues.
