Don’t get me wrong. This place is a little gem. Restaurant that is attached to a homemade pasta store that has great product. Small space with about 20 – 25 seats. We had a new server that night. She was very good and personable. We starred with calamari of which my kid loves. It was really good with the addition of some shaved potatoes and carrots. Made it more interesting. I got a salad and we both got pasta. Of course we did. Rigatoni was great. Only one hitch. The flavor of the sausage was unfamiliar. Didn’t taste like a traditional Italian sausage. So that was a turn off. Plus it was too creamy. I like this sort of pasta with a touch of cream and some white wine to cut the creaminess. My wife had the seafood pasta. She loved it. Table bread was decent but needed to be a little warmer. Olive oil on the table was great. Maybe they did this by design but no salt and pepper on the table. Not that I use it much but mine needed a bit more salt for my taste. We will be back to see if they have improved and to eat the fresh made pastas. They are truly quality products. It’s even worth it to stop in during the day to pick up some pasta for the house. They have some desserts and sauces too. Another note is to make sure you pick up a bottle of wine or beer to drink since it’s a BYOB. We found out once we got there which was no big deal. Give these guys your business!

We found this place while looking for a byob Italian spot in the area. It was such a delightful surprise. The food was delicious. All the pasta was homemade, and the ingredients were fresh and local. The service was kind and helpful, but not overbearing. And the dining area itself was cute and lovely.

WOW! First timer here… followed Tyler’s recommendations and Voila!.. ONEAMAZINGDINNER. I tried items I would have never ordered on a regular day and was in shock at how tasty their Chefs influenced them… DELICIOUS. I’ll be back! Looking forward to their future successes.

This is in our neighborhood, and we were pleasantly surprised. We were unaware that it was BYOB, but the food did not disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and we did enjoy the Italy slide show as it brought back memories of our visits there. Tyler did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. His service is outstanding. We had the Sfizosa salad, Gnocchi Sorrentina, and Vodka Rigatoni con Salsiccia with a side of Brasciole and thoroughly enjoyed every dish. We will definitely be returning with vino next time!

Bartucci has completely impressed me each and every time I have dined here. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. As both a vegetarian and a pasta lover, I’m often limited as to what I can order. Bartucci has a wonderful menu, caters to vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free dietary restrictions with ease, and does so in a way that doesn’t make you feel like you’re missing out on anything. Which any vegetarian can greatly appreciate. The atmosphere is inviting, calming, and cozy. The service is always exceptional, Tyler is both friendly and professional, and truly makes the experience that much more wonderful. BYOB makes this spot even more appealing, and since my first visit a few months ago I have gone back many times and each one of those has been absolutely perfect. My favorite pasta in the United States used to mean a trip to Manhattan, but BarTucci has been such a pleasant surprise and made getting top-notch Italian food just a car ride away. If you’ve been wanting to check out BarTucci, go… you won’t be disappointed. Plan to leave both full and happy!!!

Very charming, quaint, romantic date spot. Nice selection of meats and cheeses on the appetizer. The Vodka Rigatoni con Salsiccia was very good, but extremely rich, had to take some home. However, I think I liked it even more the next day. The BYOB option is also great.

Had a small birthday celebration at BarTucci last night. As always, Tyler and Neal were so welcoming and our group had a wonderful time. The BYOB feature makes it easy to try lots of dishes and still not spend a fortune. We had brasciole, the eggplant meatballs(favored over meat!), the risotto with pesto and shrimp(outstanding), sautéed garlic(perfecto!), pasta with vodka sauce(very tasty) and salmon vesuvio(delicious special). A lovely meal, great fun was had and still our favorite place to share with friends. Chef left us full, satisfied and with leftovers for today. Couldn’t have been better. Thanks, all!!! Til next time…

Whenever I dine at Italian restaurants, I know I’m going to be ultra picky. More so if its my family’s region. I can’t help but nitpick every element of a dish. A trait I’m sure I gained from my Italian mother since she is notorious for this(and frankly it can be a drag eating Italian out with her). Since I grew up eating this and Mom is quite the cook, my expectations are HIGH. While I didn’t have the pleasure of Mom’s company, I couldn’t help but feel like her twin… I nitpicked, dissected and beat the dead horse to a bloody pulp. BarTucci is a cozy little restaurant located a space down from Pasta Fresh. If your wondering if their pasta is from Pasta Fresh, it is. The Owner is related to the Pasta Fresh family. Atmosphere is rustic yet simple. A Euro café feel, I immediately felt comfortable here. Being the only diners as we walked in shortly after opening, Tyler(our Host and Server) was eager to please. He was amazing on every level. The way he handled our table with such precision and ease was truly exceptional. 5 star worthy. Menu is modest. Pasta IS the center of attention. One chicken, one steak and two seafood entrees. Tyler opened our bottle of red Zin as we browsed the menu. As soon as I noticed Agnolotti di Pollo, my mind was made up. It was the most interesting pasta dish on the menu. I try to stray from the familiar because I get bored and if I’m going to spend $ 15-$ 20 on pasta, its not going to be in red sauce unless it includes some seafood — I wasn’t in that mood. When Tyler told me they were out of Agnolotti, I was both crushed and confused… how? why? He also mentioned they didn’t have the Caprese app. how? why? kept running through my mind but I kept that to myself. Well, not really… I did throw some sarcasm his way and made it known that I REALLY wanted that dish… funny me. What now? I pondered and pondered. I’m the most indecisive person on the planet when it comes to choosing off a menu. After much thoughtful consideration Pappardelle ai Funghi Misti won. I love mushrooms so why not, even if it did sound overly simplistic. Polpettine di Melanzane and Frittura Mista starters arrived. Polpettine means small meatballs but this was made without meat. Ground eggplant, ricotta and mint covered in red sauce with a dollop of ricotta in center of dish, served piping hot. Is it odd that I couldn’t taste any eggplant? nor mint? Each bite was very soft, almost mushy. Texture was ok, flavor was missing. I ate it unenthusiastically. I’m guessing there had to be a binder — bread. Come to think of it, that’s exactly what I tasted… Frittura Mista is an assortment of fried calamari, thinly sliced floured fried carrots, zucchini and potatoes. Different angle with the inclusion of fried veggies which happened to be much more tender than the calamari itself. Tough. Next up — Insalata alla Pera — mesclun greens, gorgonzola and walnuts with grilled pear wedges in balsamic. Flavorful dressing, but I would’ve preferred the pear sliced thinner or cut into smaller pieces, too chunky for a salad. My friend’s Vodka rigatoni with sausage & peas tasted light years better than my Pappardelle w/mushrooms. I noticed only cremini and could barely taste truffle oil. There’s nothing to this dish other than olive oil, a little garlic and sautéed mushrooms and it was utterly boring and bland. It needed more liquid, more flavor. I barely touched it. The saving grace? My side of Braciole. Thank goodness I ordered it. Delicious. Fork tender. It was absolutely perfect and authentic. $ 6(one small piece). I HIGHLY recommend this as an entrée — served with cavatelli. I should’ve went with red sauce after all — go figure. If I’m being honest, I find the high star reviews baffling… Prices are definitely on the high end for this type of preparation. Even the complimentary sliced bread is insulting. For a proclaimed authentic homestyle Italian restaurant selling focaccia as an appetizer at $ 6, rather than providing this on table is — — a JOKE. Feeling like I needed to redeem my meal, Tiramisu was in order and I never order dessert. Although not on menu they do offer it(tiramisu and panna cotta). It was good, not great. Very light. Whipped cream layers, no mascarpone detected. Total: $ 74 pre-tip with our own wine! Our Groupon softened the blow. $ 5 corkage fee which Tyler comp’d(maybe because they were out of my pasta?). While a nice gesture on Tyler’s part, neither the atmosphere nor food justify the prices. BYOB is always attractive. Tyler was fabulous. Excellent braciole. The ONLY reasons for my 3 stars & that’s generous.

Love this place! We came here with two other couples and all tried different things. Highly recommend the Sfizosa salad. I had the Pappardelle ai Funghi Misti, it was excellent. My husband enjoyed the Linguine Nere all’Aragosta and would definitely order it again. Where can you get pasta and a lobster tail for $ 21? We all liked trying new and innovative foods so we were pleased with the menu but if you’re a fan of classic Italian dishes there is not much to chose from. We have recommended Bartucci’s to others since and they loved it as well. BYOB was the icing on the cake. We all brought different wines and shared, such a nice treat. Tyler the manager was great!

We came here after my wife heard some very complimentary things, and we get how people rave about it. In a neighborhood with many other great Italian restaurants, this is a gem, a true stalwart. We shared the pasta with mushrooms(I would spell it if I could!) and lasagna. Terrific. This is easily a place we would return to with friends. Plus, it is a BYOB. An A+.

My fiancé and I came here on the recommendation of my cousin. Upon arriving we were surprised at how small it was but after we settled into our table and opened the wine, the ambiance was perfect. Tyler was great! Everything we ordered, from the antipasti appetizer to our entrees, to the dessert, Everything was spot on! We’ve never had better made pasta in our lives. Will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely outstanding and authentic. I’ve been living in the area my entire life, and I’ve seen this location go through ownership changes numerous times. This is the real deal. Service was excellent, and the place was busy even for a Saturday night. We had the grilled octopus and breasola to start with. The grilled octopus could have used some salt, but was extremely tender and tasty. We then had the pappardelle with mushrooms, rigatoni amatricianna and the shrimp risotto. Everyone was pleased and full. We sat and placed our order behind a much larger party, and the kitchen got backed up. We had an unusual wait between our 1st course and main course. The wait staff recognized the issue and explained the situation and comp’d us dessert. It was the right thing to do, and they were proactive. This is a neighborhood gem that is authentic and a keeper.

We loved this place. Wonderful menu with a nice variety to suit all tastes as well as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free diners. However, the menu was not so broad that we got lost. Four of us shared a lovely, fresh, tasty salad with pear, mesclun, gorgonzola; a pasta dish with a variety of mushrooms, and each ordered our own entrées. Shrimp Risotto was divine and really well executed, Steak Pizzaiola was perfect. Another pasta dish was perfectly prepared and the brasciole was tender and flavorful. The restaurant is byob, which is such a treat for this neighborhood. The only shortcomings we found were that the bread was a bit average. It is served warm, which is nice, but with all the fabulous Italian bakeries in the area, to serve a typical Gonella style loaf one would find with an Italian Beef sandwich is disappointing. Dessert was a bit lackluster as well. And, no refills on coffee either. We will definitely be going back.

Very cozy and fresh made pasta. BYOB is very key. Love the ambiance and feel of the place. I went with the Rigatoni Amatriciana with a side of Brasciole. I love they have a side of Brasciole as it is a dish I like in moderation. Both were excellently prepared and the fresh pasta was immaculate. Very simple preparation but done flawlessly. My wife went with the Linguine Nere all’Aragosta. What value at $ 21 with a full lobster tail that was perfectly cooked. If you like squid ink pasta this is as authentic as it comes. For starters we tried the Bresaola which I can only describe as prosciutto on steroids. We were very pleased that a complimentary Polpettine di Melanzane was brought out. Even though there is no meat in this dish, it was rich enough to suggest you weren’t eating eggplant but in fact very good Italian Sausage. All in all this is a great cozy spot that is extremely affordable and shows great attention to detail. Fresh food, great service and a slightly different take on Italian Cuisine(you will notice no old staples like Veal/Chicken Parm which is refreshing).

Bar Tucci’s a cozy Italian restaurant that has fresh made pasta on hand. We had a Valentines Date there tonight it was very nice. Our waiter and server was very hospital and friendly. We got our food very fast and the it tasted pretty good. I had the Vodka Rigatoni con Salsiccia mezzi rigatoni, italian sausage, peas, vodka cream sauce and my husband had Pappardelle ai Funghi Misti tri-color pappardelle, evoo, garlic, porcini, shitake, and shimeji mushrooms. Every tasted pretty good. My husband’s pasta dish was suppose to have like a truffle oil but we weren’t able to really taste any truffle oil in it. Perhaps it wasn’t a strong truffle oil flavor. The bread they use is hard so maybe it’s their style of bread but I wasn’t appealing to have bread when it’s hard in my opinion. The minestrone is okay it wasn’t great but at least it was super hot. Overall the food was good and it came out fast so we ate, and was able to have an early fast dinner date.

Our experience at BarTucci was an overall ‘B.’ The waiter was great at explaining the menu, but unfortunately they were out of several dishes. It also turned out, they were out of several beverages our table tried to order. The food was fresh, tasty and prompt.

I found BarTucci via Groupon and have been here twice so far. The décor is elegant and I like the fact that it’s a BYOB. Service is excellent. The first time I came here was on a very slow weekday night. I ordered Pappardelle ai Funghi Misti and it was amazing. Very flavorful, fresh and portion size was not overwhelming. Neal was our server and he was very professional and courteous. I liked the ambiance, service and food so much that I made reservations for Father’s Day. The restaurant was packed and quite noisy, but our server, Tyler, was very attentive. I ordered Tortelli di Zucca and it was absolutely delicious. Again, fresh and flavorful. My parents really enjoyed their food, too– even my dad, who is a very picky eater. The pannacotta is amazing. I also tried the focaccia and calamari — both very good. Overall, excellent addition to the neighborhood. Nice place to have dinner or to just sit on the patio with coffee and dessert. Will be back.
