Barney’s Pizza

i ordered pizza for delivery told the taker twice needed change for $ 100 bill when pizza arrives driver did not have change. so called the restaurant they told me the dont carry that much change and that i was told that when i ordered if you told me that why did you send pizzas didnt have answer for that then said the driver would take me to get whos gonna give me change for 100 at 815 at night around chicago and homan gonna order from congress good pizza lot of toppings and never have had problem liars at barneys

Ugh. This place is absolutely the WORST. First I ordered my food and was charged for it at 5:50pm. My food wasn’t delivered until 7:40. Upon arrival the driver obnoxiously said,“I better get a tip for this!”
Fast forward to when we opened the food. The pizza was literally stone cold. No melted cheese, no steam or moisture on the box. Nada! Cold cracker like pizza. We also ordered rib tips and loaded cheese fries. Cold cold cold.
We call the restaurant and got transferred around about 4 times. They did not want to do a refund after I insisted that I wanted my money back. They agreed to send us our food in 15 – 20 minutes. 45 minutes later, my food shows up.
Waste of $ 45. NEVER again! Save your time and money!

I order a Italian beef sandwich and boy was it nasty yuck… i usually order pizza but wanted to try something different and lets just say staying within your comfort zone at this pizza place is a must!!! Other than my food being disgusting the service was good or at least what you would expect from them

I have bought so much pizza from Barney’s over the years that it greaves me to write this review. I so want Barneys to be a place I can recommend and patronize, but alas, no more. After yet another 90+ minute wait for pizza, I opened the box to behold perhaps the ugliest looking pizza I have ever seen. The sauce had been spread over the edge and was now dried paste. The cheese, unfortunately did not make it that far as though it was afraid of the edges?! I called Barneys to talk to the manager but never got to as the person who answered said the order only took an hour and that I got what I ordered, so what’s the problem. She finally agreed to pass me on to the manager at which point she put me on hold and then dropped my call. Bad form. Our neighborhood deserves better, ya’ll. Tired of Austin always getting the booty bread. We can expect more and demand better. Sadly, I will be taking my dollars out of the neighborhood yet again. No more Barneys for me until they can get their act together and start delivering great pizza again.

I have a review, this place is very unprofessional with zero accountability for the piss poor service given within the black community. we as a people of consumers need not continue to accept and patronize such business’s within our community. make those that receive our patronage accountable for the services unacceptable and beneath what we deserve as consumers.

Stopped in for the first time today, got a fantastic pizza and some cheese sticks. The sauce that came with the sticks was pretty bland but other than that the service was really fast, the place was clean and had comfortable seating, the staff were professional and did an amazing job dealing with the crazy, crazy horrible customers. I don’t know how they kept their cool but they did. Every customer in that place was acting like impatient, insane, whiny, entitled, MEAN, evil assholes. They were trying desperately to get the staff to react and it was like they were having a who-​can-​be-​the-​worst-​person-​on-​earth contest. Something is very, very wrong with Austin. I was appalled at the behavior of every customer in that place. There was a guy drinking straight vodka in front of us and kid tried to cut in line in front of me and I yelled at him until he left. The people in that neighborhood are doomed.

Great Pizza !! Great staff, Great company and all around Great service !! I would definitely come back to eat in or take out ! It’s good to see we still have some stand out Chicago pizza joints left in the city, I’m tired of seeing little ceasers and Pizza Hut garbage. Extra cheese, well done ! I’m in !

The worst customer service. Very unprofessional. Cannot get a order or address correct. Smh

Great food for the price. It is always busy though. I love the cheese pizza. Service could be better but that’s the location.
What ever you do don’t get the gyros. The meat is dry as hell.

Food is ok, nothing to brag about, just something quick and convenient when you’re starving and not mobile. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and some wings. The girl on the phone was professional, but the delivery boy was rude. It took him 1.5 hrs to get to me. He calls me to let me know that he was on his way and that I needed to be outside because he was very busy and had other deliveries to make. Not something you tell a customer, especially after taking 2 hrs to deliver a pizza. He calls again minutes later to tell me he’s outside, which he wasn’t. I was standing outside in the cold and told him no car has came down the block yet, then he says he’ll be there in a few minutes. When he comes down the block, he passes right by my house while I’m flagging him down. He parks all the way down the street and beckons me to walk all the down to were he was. I just had leg surgery, mind you. People don’t deliver to your doorstep anymore, huh? The pizza isn’t worth all of that for me to go back, so that is the last time I order from them again.

Food was okay. They have now moved their prices downward to compete with Little Cesars Pizza.

I’m bumping Barney’s up to 5 stars after my past interactions with them last week. Talking to them on a cell phone that kept losing service, and running all around the building trying to confirm orders and get money, the guy on the phone wasn’t just patient with me, he was understanding and just plain nice.
Good service & friendliness goes a long way in my book.
Pizza was delivered hot and on time. WIthin a time span of barely 10 minutes, 4 jumbo pizzas (at buy one get one free price) were completely devoured. Well done Barneys.
