Lovely people, very reasonably priced and they do an awesome job with not only dry cleaning shirts but also refitting slacks and jeans. I couldn’t be happier with this place!

Reasonable prices and very friendly owners. They do a great job as well. What more could you ask for from a neighborhood cleaners

NEWOWNERSHIP. Forget all the past reviews. The new owners seem VERY nice and customer service oriented(unlike the prior owners). I’ve only had a couple transactions so far, but it is so much more pleasant with the new owners.

Been going here since they opened. Knock on wood but I have never had any of the problems that other posters talked about. Prices seem pretty decent relative to other places I’ve used in the past. And they’ve never broken any buttons on my shirt, which used to happen all the time(and drive me nuts) with a couple other places I used to frequent. My biggest pet peeve is that once they refused to break their $ 10-minimum-credit-card policy. But I got over it. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself.

I gave this place three chances — and that was three chances too many. The first time I used this place was for alterations. The seamstress did a good job at first look however it took two weeks to receive my dress back that needed to be hemmed. Additionally, the buttons that were sewn on fell off within the week. The second time I attempted to get alterations done here I was turned away because the dress was made of sheer fabric and it would be too much work to get the dress completed before I needed it in two weeks. Really? You can’t get it done in two weeks? The third time was for a simple alteration of sewing pockets shut and drying cleaning. I brought my clothes in on a Saturday and was told I could pick them up «any time» the following Saturday. When I went in a WEEK later I was told they were not ready. The woman that operates the store told me she would never tell a customer that it would be ready before 5PM and that I was simply wrong. Even if that was the case, the issue could have been approached a bit differently. She was hostile toward me and rude. Terrible customer service. I think the biggest issue here is that the seamstress only comes in one day per week. Trust me, never, ever take your clothes here. You’ll be treated badly and it’s not worth the hassle.

Never, ever use this dry cleaner. We dropped off clothes first thing on Saturday for pick up on Sunday. We received a call Saturday afternoon explaining that three of the nine items got separated and would not be ready on Sunday as promised. I explained I was leaving at 5AM on Monday morning for a business trip and asked if there was any way she could track down the items for pick up on Sunday as promised. She curtly explained that they never promise only«try» to get you your dry cleaning on the agreed-upon day. She said the plant they used was now closed and my only option was to pick up the clothes on Monday after 10AM. No apology, no discount, no nothing.

Thought I needed to put up a better review for this place! My boyfriend and I moved in several months ago and picked this cleaner because they are open on Sundays and on our way to and from the el. My boyfriend has dropped off many shirts/dress pants/suits(sometimes in mass quantities… we are lazy!) and never had a problem. Nothing has been lost, everything has been great! I have dropped dresses off here and although they do a great job and it’s fast(drop off Monday AM means Thursday PM pick up) I think they are a little pricey. It’s about $ 9 a dress depending upon the fabric, which is annoying when it’s a cotton material but ok if it’s more expensive. Only reason I gave them 4 stars is because of this. Besides that, they have great hours(yay Sundays!) and the woman is very friendly. No credit card transactions less than $ 10 but I think that is very fair! I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Just the other day I was given the wrong pair of pants, which I didn’t notice until I got home. The next morning when I walked back to return them, I was just handed the correct pants and hardly got a sorry. I asked for some type of discount for my troubles and all I got was«Naww.» That is now my thoughts on ever going back.

When they were at Hermitage and within steps of my condo, I would by laziness head here weekly for shirts & suits. Overall, they sucked, and they still do suck. The main clerk is ok, but the other woman randomly and repeatedly gave me other people’s clothes. It was humorous until a few of my shirts disappeared and were never found. Oh well, I guess. Now that I moved, I’ll let the other lazies use their horrible service.

I had been going here for years. The service was OK, they do not clean on premises, they send the clothes out. I brought in a green shirt, and picked it up 3 days later. Went to pull it out of the cleaning bag and discovered a bleach stain on the front. I brought the shirt back this morning(10/07/2011) to ask what happened, and the clerk(whom I think is the owner) claimed there was no way the outsourced facility could get bleach on my shirt. I respectfully stated that I did not bring the shirt in with a bleach stain. The clerk then tried to convince me that I must have brushed up against something and got the bleach stain myself(even though it was clearly a droplet bleach stain, and not a brushed against bleach stain). I am disappointed that they would not take responsibility for the bleach stain. As a customer in good standing, I was hoping we could come to a agreement, but, they would rather lose a steady customer than take responsibility. AVOIDTHISPLACE! UPDATE: They moved and are now called Augusta & Ashland Cleaners.
