I got my very first piercing (industrial and both ear lobes) here. It was reasonably priced and a clean/​safe procedure.
I also got my very first tattoo here as a walk-​in. The price was reasonable and the artist was able to complete it quickly despite the fine detail.
Definitely planning on coming back here!

Came to this shop for Friday the 13 flash. Called at 6 and was told we would be able to get tattooed at 10. Came in at 8 and signed up for the wait list; same answer. Came back at 10 and were kept waiting for an hour before a different person told us they wouldn’t be able to see us. Clearly they had no system for seeing walk ins or maintaining a wait list for an evening. I understand that flash tattoos aren’t as lucrative but the absolute waste of my time and several other customers was egregious. To make matters worse, several male friends of the shop starting flirting with female customers half their age as we waited for a cab. Sketchy ass shop, terrible customer service, who cares if the tattooer art is any good if the experience is gonna be that unpleasant. Wish I could rate lower than one star.

I followed John C here after he did a hand piece for me about a year ago at another shop. I was very happy with it, received many compliments, and decided to add some more to it, so it had to be him who did it.
Armitage Ink is a little out of my way, but well worth it. The shop is new and clean, and the other artists and the owner are all great guys. I would definitely recommend checking out this shop for your next piece.
