Ann McDermott, MD

I went from an amazing doctor that would sit there with you for an hour to Dr. McDermott where it was hard to make appts., she gives you prescriptions without seeing you, it’s impossible to get in touch with her, and appts. ha good luck getting in on a day you’d like. She is a very friendly person but taking more on then she needs to. I will begin new insurance next month and I am excited to return back to my old doctor!

Dr. McDermott is nice, but I went to her for a couple years and had several issues that eventually led me to look for another doctor. First, her office is tough to get in to. I think this is largely due to her limited office hours, plus she’s got a lot of patients. Plus when she does see you, she’s very rushed. Several times I tried to ask more questions but she was out the door so fast I didn’t get a chance. The final straw though is when she called me about some tests that came back. She read off the results but basically didn’t know anything about what they meant. Plus, when she finally looked it up she actually mad a really derogatory comment about how gross it was. Not a really good thing to hear when you’re worried about your health. So overall, she’s not at all a bad doctor, and she was on my very limited insurance plan. She’s certainly more compassionate than most, but I’m going to look elsewhere.
