I’m thinking about having my baby shower here. It’s just a really fun place.

Went here with a group of friends, A little expensive for the food and drinks but I guess it covers for the live entertainment. I ordered a Alhambra Platter which was more than enough for my wife and I.(we have leftovers) Ordered a few drinks which were nice and strong just the way I like’em. After dinner we had hookah and when the entertainment was done the dance floor is open to get down and boogie. Highly recommend making a reservation.

We had a nice time. I enjoyed the male singer Bilal, he had it popping. I enjoyed the entertainment. However, I did think the food was on the expensive side for example 10 of us, each ordered a meal, plus we ordered some falafel, hummus and baba ghanouj for us, no alchoholic drinks just coke or juice, and one hookah over $ 500.00 which included gratuity they added which was $ 85.00. Kind of expensive I feel. The waitstaff are emotionless. Its just a job to them I guess. The food was o. k, it was tasty but not something I would miss. Their baba ghanouj was a little off as far as Arabic food goes. The falafel was a bit too solid for me. All in all we enjoyed the experience, but better have heavy pockets to come.

Manager is very rude! Went there for a nye party around 7:00pm looked fun and then we started putting an order for drinks and each time took 20 min! Appetizers didn’t come at all, dinner didn’t arrive at all so we complained and complained. Each time they said food should be out shortly. So basically we all were starving including little children! Food came out 1 am no joke!

I recommend this place to someone who is visiting the city, and wants to see something different, doesn’t mind Lou’s music and staying up late. Great for groups especially. Wouldn’t recommend this place for a first date or for when you actually need to hear the other person speaking, you would need to scream. Entertainment is really great here; definitely something you won’t find everywhere. Belly dancers, singers, unique shows and a killer drummer. It’s quite a spectacle. Food isn’t the best but it’s ethnic Arabic food that’s not bad and hookahs are available usually after a certain time(sometimes 10pm or later) Definitely better to get reservations far in advance so you can sit in an area where you can see the show.

They had the best paella I’ve tasted yet. All seafood, no meat, which I like. Fresh, creamy hummus & pitas. The three of us split entrees so we could try some of everything. The waiter accidentally brought us one drink wrong and at the end of the meal they comped us all the drinks which was unnecessary but so thoughtful even though it was just one drink that was wrong which he corrected anyways.

This place was so fun! Get a reservation for 8:30ish! The place is huge, but you want to make sure you can see the shows! The environment was fun and the food was great! The dishes are big so we shared a few! The second show starts around 10:15ish. This is the best show! There was live music, lights and great dancers! They also pull out the hookahs for the tables around 10pm! This place is great for big groups too! I loved it and would definitely come again for a birthday dinner or a special occasion!

I’ve been to this beautiful restaurant 2 times so far, and I finally remembered to review it! It is one of the most beautiful and unique restaurant/entertainment places in the Chicagoland Region!(I was in a Mexican mariachi band for 12 years, so I’ve seen a few places.) So, the first time I went was in July of 2011 for salsa Tuesday with a group of girls from a summer group. It was so much fun to go for lessons, and it got packed with people of all kinds and ages who love dancing. I believe on a DJ was on stage that night. The second time I went was in the summer of 2012 for«linner». The place was mostly empty because they weren’t technically open yet, which allowed us to see the beautiful restaurant better.(People started arriving for dinner later.) The service was great, and our server tailored a dish to my dietary needs: I had a combination of the fattoush salad with salmon and some delicious mystery addition – one of the best salads I’ve had to this day! I believe my brother had something with hummus in it, and the hummus was very good. I wanted to go to this restaurant for years before 2011, and now I’d love this venue for a party in the future.

This place is definitely a wonder and a beautiful place to see. Service is notorious for being slow on busy nights. I really enjoyed going here when the late Dr Amir Rustom was around. But since then, the service has gone down, and the manager Mamoon is a total A-hole, who knows nothing about customer service, or how to properly even talk to people.

This plase is nice but the manager is a poor person with zero people skills if he was not running the establishment it would be a fantastic place to dine the staff there is kind and courteous i don’t think they deserve any stars due to the manager or the owner he was the guy last night with the blue sports jacket who said he ran everything he was very disrespectful and very discourteous to me and my party guest I would not have the company I work for to throw any event there ever again nor suggest this place until this man has move or resign

It was our first time visiting this much talked about place and it was a bag of mixed feelings. Great middle eastern décor and the place is huge. Unfortunately, the main floor where the belly dance takes place with a big stage wasn’t open, it looked like they were doing some work or cleaning up after an event prior to our Friday night visit. The food is pricey for the quality and portions were decent, each entrée can be shared well by two. The cocktails were AWFUL with prices too high for what they offered. Our server, who wasn’t very personable was there just to ’ do his job’, then make anyone feel welcomed. Service was horrible, as it took him a long time to bring drinks and the food. Inspite of repeatedly asking for water, it never came to the table, after asking for it for 3 different times. They also have hookahs you can order for $ 25/hookah that can be shared by a big group as they provide you separate tips to enjoy. In short, beautiful ambiance, poor cocktails and average food. It’s worth the experience, if you’re in a big group. The dancers were talented, beautiful girls and entertainment was worth the visit. The singers and musicians are talented as well and kept the place very lively. It was very conjusted though, being Friday night, the place was busy and cramped up. If you’re in town for a unique experience, I would recommend the visit, but don’t go with high expectations for drinks and food. We were a large group of 15, ordered different entrees including big appetizers($ 50), which included several different varieties. Chicken shwarmas were ok, though portion was big. Hope you enjoy your visit.

We ordered chicken kabob, hummus, baba ganouj. They serve large portions of pita! So the appetizers are pretty filling. The entrées are a lil on the expensive side, so we expected the chicken kabob to be out of the world. We were very disappointed! The pieces were large and not well marinaded. Also, chicken felt very rubbery and we had to return the dish. Baba ganouj is different from what you get at regular fast food joints. On the positive side, the ambience is amazing! The most perfect place for a date:) hummus and pita was yum. They also have belly dancing shows, but we came for lunch, so missed it. My recommendation is +/-! Visit the place if you’re in the are with a date and order the appetizer! Maybe it was just out luck that the chicken was so bland that day:(

The three star rating is for the décor and entertainment. The energetic professional dancers that turn up past 9 pm light up the place! The food is very average and drinks are alright. Falafel was dry, both the potato dish and Moroccan Vegetable Tagine were flavorless. My Husband wasn’t very impressed with his Chicken Tandoori either Good place for a large group

Depending on why you’re going this could be a a great time or a horrible time. A group of friends and I went on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived around 9 p.m., they asked if we had a reservation because they were fully booked. Of course we didn’t so we left but decided to call back and make a reservation for 11 p.m. When we showed up again we expected to be seated right away but instead we were ushered to wait in a line leading to the main seating area. You can see a small portion of the main stage and hear the music from this vantage point but you don’t have the full effect yet. We waited in line for about 15 minutes. They don’t go in order of who’s first but pick out people based on table size. The main area is decorated very nicely. The décor of the entire place was beautiful and felt extravagant. The energy in the room was really high and made you want to drop everything and dance. The tables closest to the stage are meant to be shared by multiples parties, we sat next to some strangers but had no problems the entire night. When our waiter came, she showed us the clause on the menu which says you have to spend around $ 30 per person if you go on a weekend. Each person doesn’t have to spend $ 30 but the total bill has to total as if each person did. Not happy that we found out about it after being seated but it was a special occasion so it didn’t seem like a big deal. A few people in my group ordered food which wasn’t really that great except for a salmon dish one of my friends got. I don’t smoke hookah but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Drinks were good but not too strong. The atmosphere is what makes this place. Dancing is a huge passion of mine and the music here is very upbeat and energetic. They also do belly dancing shows which were interesting to watch. My advice is to check this place out for the dancing and hookah not for the food or a romantic or toned down experience.

My friends wanted to hangout for some hookah and belly dancing and we got a table for 11pm. The singer and drummers were pheneomenal! we were seated close to the stage and i could feel the strong beats, although it was a foriegn language i was in a happy place. our waiter Hez was very sweet, we ordered Salad, falafel, eggplant and Lamb kebab. Our lamb was chewy and we informed our waitress who immediately brought out a complimentary platter of baklava from the chef. My friends and i enjoyed dancing and learnt a few a dance steps. The lead belly dancer was enthralling. I would certainely go back for another fun night.

I came here with my then-boyfriend on the very first night they opened up, about 7 or 8 years ago. We both looked around in total awe of the vicinity. The décor itself is immaculate — all of which, I have heard, is imported from the Middle East. Since the grand opening, I have visited Alhambra a dozen times… Fridays and Saturdays feature live entertainment, which consists of Arabian singers and belly dancers. There’s a cover of, I think, $ 35 on those nights. They serve food and hooka, both of which are nothing to rave about. I have never really had a bad experience with the service here, which is a positive. Even despite it being crazy busy some nights, servers are good about keeping their calm and serving guests as best as they can. I’m sure it’s not fun for them to have to scream over the live music to get people’s orders written down. If you have a good group of friends, or a special event, this is a great place to dance the night away.

Walking in, I felt like I was walking in to a castle. I think that’s the feel that they were going for. Now mind you readers, I am reviewing this place in terms of a Saturday night. I am sure during the weekdays its different. A live band is there playing some cultural music, a signer riling up the crowd, a guy with a drum, belly dancers, it was so stimulating! The actual establishment is very large without any shortages on where to sit. They have various flavors oh hookah available if that’s your bag, not mine but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. They have a full bar and table service with a full menu of items. The dance floor was packed and I witnessed a dude throwing dollar bills on the floor making it rain, nice! The servers and hosts were very nice and attentive. The food was exceptional and we had a ton of fun watching the show while we ate. I even learned a few moves. This place is very easy to get to and they have parking all along the streets. I hope to find a way to come back with my friends and have another great time!

I promise my friend I would update my review after our wonderful experience last night. Doing Hookah is one of my bucket list items… lol…so she was adamant about my first time being here and I can see why. Most places for hookah is just a room with couches, some games, and often long waiting times. My experience here was no waiting(even with no reservations) Spectacular belly dancing performances, great drinks, wonderful staff, and friendly patrons. It was awesome! We got there at 9:00pm and left a little after 1:00am. If you dine during the performance times there is a minimum of $ 38 per person(everything contributes to the $ 38: food, drink, hookah, etc) It’s a very fair price due to the excellent performances and such a comfortable energetic setting. The food to me still leaves much to be desired, but the drinks are excellent. I had a Bellini as well as a Chocolate Martini and both were sweet and flavorful. They have 4 hookah flavors and we went with the apple and the second one we did was mixed fruits. Both were great! The combination of great service, entertainment, and drinks made it a good time!
