Able Distributors

My firiend, GM, whom is a liscenced HVAC guy, was quoted a price for my replacement furnace & ac unit in late Jan/​early Feb2015. Salesman he spoke to at the time and a few times in between, assured him that this «quoted price» would be held/​honored until Friday, March 27^th. Of course wanting to get the unit for best price, before the seasonal price change, he scheduled for these units to FINALLY be delivered morning of March 27 (after having to reschedule a few times prior, due to availability, weather or other circumstances).
Able distributors CLAIMS there was an «issue with the delivery truck» when the delivery time grew close. So my HVAC guy friend calls them yesterday March 30to reschedule the delivery and now they refuse to honor the quoted price!!! Claiming they misquoted originally though they had plenty of time to mention this & even though it was their fault for actually missing the March 27^th deadline!!! My friend spoke with various sales people and management trying to figure this mess out & to get them to realize their mistake. Let me just mention my friend has been a long time (approx 20 yrs) loyal patron, purchasing MANY units from them before. Alas, they are refusing to honor the quoted price and losing a should-​be valued customer. What kind of racket does this? ABLE DISTRIBUTORS THATS WHO!!! Greedy liars and cheats!!! Rather lose a customer and have negative reviews than stand behind your promises.

I have had the wonderful pleasure of dealing directly with this fine establishment for my HVAC needs. I had a recent renovation of my building and the contractor recommended Able as the go to source for my mechanicals.
I really do not know where to start, so maybe I won’t.
The counter staff is knowledgable, diverse and helpful.
The owners seem to be a little insane, but they get the job done! Highly recommended for their ability to make something that can be a very daunting experience into one that was educational and enjoyable!
Looking forward to the next time I need to have a boiler installed!

I had a terrible experience with Able Distributors. Absolutely terrible.
I basically had to beg them to order a part for me, having to go through two different salesmen and even calling the manufacturer of the part to call Able in order to light a fire under them! Took about 6 weeks until I finally got an order confirmation, and even picking up the item was terrible as well.
If there is another option to get what you need, TAKE IT.
