3-D’s Jerk Chicken

OMG! This place is BOMB! i got there no line no wait. Got home and anxiously opened the perfectly wrapped to go box (they wrap the box in clear plastic wrap). I was pleasantly surprised about how much food was in that container! I got a ½ white chicken dinner and underneath the chicken were some very good red beans! It also came with yams and cabbage (yes 3 sides!) everything was delicious! The chicken was moist and flavorful and it didnt even have sauce on it. Which is good for families with children. They put the sauce on the side n a container but i didnt even use it becuz the chicken was so good! The cabbage and yams were very tasty as well. Everything was A1! I spent about $ 12 on the meal and i have plenty leftovers. Im full and VERY pleased! Good job 3d’s!

I had give 3 stars based on the order system and not being attentive of their own menu options.
Called in my order for a lunch special, when they opened at one… A half chicken lunch special with rice/​beans, yams, and cabbage. I arrived 45 mins later, too a line of people who also called in.
They need too start taking names, last four of the phone number, or ticket numbers. Because I expect my food when I get there and not given anything. My order had no cabbage, but a wonderfully large helping of yams. A better ordering system could’ve prevented this small error. And too be told, there is no lunch special at 1:45pm is not acceptable, when the order was placed as a lunch special.
The chicken was awesome. Very moist and seasoned excellent. No complaints about that chicken. The yams were delicious, sweet and cooked just right, but I had too much. No complaints about the yams. I’m sure the cabbage is great, had I received them.
Overall, I will be returning on Sunday to try that steak, Mac, and potatoes. I’ll also be trying a few other options. Hoping too give a 5 star rating next time.

This is the best jerk chicken hands down. I live on the Southside of Chicago and my husband is from the Westside an use to tell me that this place had the best jerk chicken I love my jerk chicken spots from out South but when I tasted 3d’s it melted in my month an I’ve been coming every since. I travel for the service just as well as the FOOD. I must say I have to have them twice a month! Keep doing what u guys so and I’ll forever keep coming back!!!

There is a saying that you cannot do the same thing again and expect different results. With this in mind, I reluctantly returned to 3-​D on Sunday 3÷20÷16 for a steak special.
Ordering by phone the second go around was less painful in that, given my first experience, I did not expect any pleasantries. I set out to place the order and give my name. Nothing more, nothing less. However, during this call, the person on the other end exhibited more warmth and patience than before. He took the order, repeated the order and said it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrived to pick up the order, I was immediately greeted and acknowledged. And as stated, it was ready in 30 minutes. How’s that for service???
As I tore through the plastic, the reminiscent thoughts of my tilapia dinner tried to take root, leading me to be less enthused the second time around. But my first bite into each item on the plate provided a welcomed attitude adjustment. I could not believe how tasty it was! The Steak dinner with smothered potatoes and Mac n cheese is absolutely delicious!!! I did not use the jerk sauce or A1.
Is it worth a drive to an unfamiliar enclave, parking on a street with flashing surveillance boxes and being served through a bulletproof turn-​style which is a clear depiction of the realities in this part of the city? Yes!
The reward in trying love again is happiness. And I am elated to have found steak love on a two way street. Sundays only. $ 14.50 before tax.

The best jerk chicken on the westside of Chicago these people are actually from Jamaica so you get that authentic taste thanks 3-d’s you’re the best

I tried this place with my co worker. We ordered the shrimp dinner. We got back to the office and noticed that the food was very watery. The rice, cabbage and Mac n cheese were soaked in sauce. We began to eat the food when we noticed a long hair in our rice. It was disgusting! To top it off the bald head black man told me when I called that we were never welcomed back there again and it wasn’t there hair it was a Mexicans hair! I told him oh you don’t have to worry about me coming back to this nasty ass establishment ever again. Also the front receptionist is so rude the one with the glasses. She has a horrible attitude!

Amazing!!! Fresh and delicious Jamaican. I’m very particular about my Jerk and they got it right — from the flavor, to it being ready on time, to the gentleman who greeted me… Thankful to have a good fix nearby. Call ahead!

Had the goat curry for lunch. It was very good. Meat was soft. Had it with red beans and rice, yams, cabbage. Loved it.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday and i will have to say I am impressed. I have tried a few other Jamaican restaurants in the city that left a lot to be desired but this restaurant did not disappoint. I ordered the combo plate and choose curry goat and jerk chicken that came with beans and rice, cabbage, yams and hard dough bread. Everything was yummy! The goat was very tender, the jerk chicken was seasoned nicely and the sides had a great flavor. One thing I thought was odd was that they didn’t offer Plantains, especially since it was a Jamaican restaurant. Just make sure that you you know the price of what you are getting! We were told one price over the phone and when we arrived the price was $ 10 higher! After a little discussion lady there was nice enough to honor the price she gave over the phone but that is something that they should be careful about. I would definitely recommend.

The food is delicious! Authentic jerk. Curry goat and oxtail, nice and tender and we’ll seasoned. You can see them jerking on the grill. When ordering on the phone for pickup, I recommend you confirm the price. We confirmed the price twice and were still given a higher price when we arrived. After discussion, the quoted price was honored. Also, don’t expect your order to be ready when you go to pick it up. We had to wait a ½ hour more even coming after the time the food was said to be ready.

Very friendly service, extremely tasty chicken & goat, and great prices sums up 3-​Ds.
We went on sunday so we could get the jerk T-​bone. IMHO, not worth it, but the curry goat and chicken were VERY worth it.
The T-​bone wasn’t at all bad, but it is cooked medium-​well which I guess should probably be expected. I’d even go as far as to call it good, but just not worth it considering that… The chicken on the other hand has a perfect amount of smokiness to it and tastes great with the slow heat from the Jerk sauce. You get a whole (cut) chicken at a totally reasonable price! The curry goat fills a large styrofoam takeout container when you add in sides and tastes great. Not overpowering curry, great flavor, and overall just good. Watch out for bones though! Both of these were just delicious.
Everything had a price in the $ 10 – 12 range and you got plenty for the cost. Our total taxed bill was $ 40 which made for roughly 6 fat kid meals.
We did have to wait a little while since something we ordered wasn’t ready, but the dudes inside were really nice while we waited and even offered us a couple of free Jamaican soda’s for hanging around. Waiting wasn’t a problem for us, but the bullet proof glass might be more for your protection than theirs — if you have allergies the smoke could possibly bother you, but I came out smellin’ fresh.

First time at 3D’s and the half jerk chicken was great. No wait, I’ll be returning!

The food taste amazing and the prices are very affordable. It’s not a sit down restaurant so order your food and take it home and enjoy you will not be disappointed and take into account the portions are huge. Sunday is steak day right off the grill and they are thick and delicious!

I went on a Sunday for Steak Sunday. I added Shrimp to my order. I had mac n cheese & the smothered potatoes for sides. I have been following them on IG & I’ve been planning to check them out for about a year now so I was REALLY excited. I enjoyed my food, it was about a 20 min wait, I wanted a med rare steak, but was advised it would take 30mins so I took what was ready which was well done. I still enjoyed it and I’m gonna come bk & try different things. They also accept call in orders which seems to be suggested if you don’t want to wait.

Went here the other day ordered jerk chicken and jerk fish. Got home opened the bag the chicken was decent however the Fish was the Worst they gave me the tail end of the fish! nothing with meat on it. I called the store the person I called told me to bring it back then he stated that they were out of fish smh. I won’t be returning

Great food taste was awesome and prices were super affordable for the amount of great tasting food you get.

This is absolutely the best jerk chicken in town! It’s authentic! The chicken isn’t spicy, which allows the entire family to enjoy. The bread and sauce provided is definitely one of a kind! Did I mention the great, fast service? Well, the guys are always friendly and kind! I can’t pass by without stopping for such a treat!

It’s hard to believe a place would open at 1pm for a lunch crowd, but this place was not even open at 1.
I look inside and it’s just one guy trying to prepare the food. They might have good food, but too bad some people miss out because the owner is not prepared to serve it up. If you say you open at certain time, BE Ready to Open. That’s Business 101!
