Their food is really good here, but it’s kind of in a strange place. It’s at the back of a gas station which I found kind of strange. But looking around the Heights, I’m realising that it’s kind of the«done» thing here as there are combination beauty supply/liquor stores, tire repair/steak and lemonade shops, and gas station/African hair braiding salons all over the place, so I guess gas station/Mexican restaurant isn’t so crazy after all! But, I digress… the food here is really good. Very authentic. I recommend the pastor with rice and beans(mmmmmmmm…) the shredded chicken burritos(they get the balance between hot meat, beans and rice and cold veggies perfect. And their chicken was SOGOOD!!! No funny bits of the bird were included as «added bonuses») and of course, the tacos. My fave were the steak tacos, but the beef ones weren’t too shabby either! I did give it 4 stars because the waitress was a bit rude as she assumed I didn’t speak Spanish, so she made a point of ignoring me till I actually spoke up and let her know(in Spanish by the way) that I was ready to order. But she did try to make up for it by apologizing and saying she didn’t see me(yeah…ok. maybe she didn’t, but yeah. we’ll leave it at that) Anyway, I went back, so I guess it wasn’t enough to make me stay away. The prices are reasonable, and the food is authentic. I don’t recommend going here too late at night though. There are some really shady looking characters that hang around that area. Oh and the parking stinks! There aren’t any designated spots and one time I was there, I got blocked in. So I’m guessing most of their traffic is walk up. But the food is good and cheap so at least give this place a try!
