The brisket wrap was delicious. The nachos were phenomenal. Best of all, our waitress was spectacular! I’ll definitely be back!

I visited Miller’s Crossing last night with a few friends from high school. We told the waitress we’d be «camping» as we had a lot to catch up on. She was happy to oblige us and didn’t give any attitude that sometimes comes with taking over someone’s table for an extended amount of time. Both of my friends ordered burgers and said they were good. I had the caesar salad with blackened salmon and it was delicious. We enjoyed our wine, food and even dessert. Miller’s Crossing isn’t fancy and fits the bill for a casual, bar food type place.

The staff is really friendly. I love their chicken quesadilla appetizer. It has a sports bar kind of atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend it.

Came here with family and was really disappointed in the food. The nachos were truly a disappointment. The Reuben was ok, and the ribs were ok. I definitely wouldn’t be back.

This place isn’t really much of a surprise, you get what you expect… a Bar 1st and a restaurant 2nd. The food is acceptable, highlights being the in house made brisket and pork.(still not great but better than other menu items) Supposedly this place recently underwent a management change and introduced a new menu, I do not see much change, only 1 – 2 items added to menu(pretzel and fried pickles apps and maybe a newish pasta dish) everything else — service, décor, experience remains unchanged. It is a suitable place for families with a large dining room and a nice bar for all others. Biggest complaint is all happy hour specials are only available in bar, I have to pay $ 1 -$ 5 more for setting a few feet away in a booth… not a good business practice. Also as an fyi dogs are no longer allowed on the patio.

Wanted to give this place a try, had heard the food was decent and we were in the area. Bad idea. Service was very poor, took almost 25 minutes to get our drinks after asking twice where they were, come to find out the server hadn’t even put them in the computer yet. Food arrived and we did not have silverware or napkins. Meal was decent and so we decided to give it another try and order another drink. Much to our surprise when the server quickly came back, gave us our check, didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted another drink or anything else. Would not go back or recommend.

My college chum and I met for lunch and were seated right away at 11:30 a.m. We opted for a booth. All the doors were open to the patio, so you could hear the traffic on Olive, but it was OK. It wasn’t like semi’s grumbling down the interstate. A refreshing, gentle breeze wafted in along with the spectacular aroma of cooking meats from the smoker out front — some flies came in along with the breeze. They’re not stupid; they know where the food is. There was one man serving the inside, and one woman serving the patio. Another couple hands would have helped. The place filled up pretty quickly, even though we were some of the first patrons to arrive. Our server was very friendly and quite enthusiastic, and he kept us well-hydrated. There were four specials today that all sounded pretty good(I forgot one of them.): their signature chicken salad(only available on Thursdays and sometimes on Fridays) — and while we were ordering, our server was informed there was just one remaining blackened salmon salad with poppyseed dressing a rib sandwich — meat taken off the ribs, then sautéed with peppers, onions and barbeque sauce, topped with cheese I would have gotten one of these off-menu offerings, but I had a little problem with each one of them in one way or another — with either the ingredients or the preparation. The menu is laminated like a placemat so as soon as you are seated, you have the two-sided menu right in front of you. We both opted for the Reuben — comes with one side. She got the homemade chips. I got cottage cheese. Our server offered a little horseradish on the side, and we both went for that. The Reubens were wonderfully toasted sandwiches(marble rye). The corned beef was incredibly tender and wonderfully smoky. Swiss and dressing were in good proportion. I would have liked more sauerkraut, but I like heavy on the kraut. The little cup of horseradish was divine. Her homemade chips looked beautifully cooked, not paper-thin. Very crunchy. Ahhh, what do you say about cottage cheese? It was wonderful. It took a little work to get our check, to-go vessels — and while he was at our booth, he refreshed our drinks again. We slugged those down and left with our treasures, including the horseradish. The patio was full when we were on our way out.

Calimari was overcooked, salad was puny, brisket dry as leather, burger undercooked, nearly had to yell at the waitress to get her attention. First and last time there.

On a tip from a friend who works nearby … and who humbly indicated he’d been to Miller’s Crossing three times in the past month … I decided to follow him along for lunch visit 4. Glad I did! Great marketing. Miller’s puts a smoker out front, by which one must pass to gain entrance. Oh the intoxicating aroma of a smoker! So, naturally, I went with the pulled pork sandwich. Even with a generous portion of sauce surrounding each piece of meat, the smokey flavor came through. I’m sure that the meat also had seasonings, but these fell subordinate to the sauce and the smoke … and that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. And, instead of the shredded treatment that is so popular for other pulled pork offerings, Miller’s goes for a chunky style. It gave me a great opportunity to enjoy the flavor in the meat. Unfortunately, I chose fries as my side. Should’ve gone with the slaw … to then incorporate into the sandwich — that would have been better. But, at least this way, I could focus on the pork ex the influence of the cole slaw. Burgers are reported to be good, too, by another member of our lunch party. Comfortable, casual ambiance. Waiter was polite, and earnest. Popular place, made for a bit of a wait between visits from the service staff.

Have zero expectations and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I went there on a Saturday evening with my husband and 11 month old daughter. We were looking for a casual place to get a burger and not have to wait for a table. The staff was nice and attentive, even with other tables of elderly patrons keeping them very busy. The food was good, predictable, fast. We both ordered burgers that were tasty but average. My husband had fries with his that were very good and I had the BBQ baked beans which were excellent. Also had a small Caesar salad, dressing was yummy but croutons were stale. Good mix of families and couples. Bar and dining area had large tvs. Bar also looked cozy and inviting. Will definitely go again when we need a quick bite to eat without any fuss.

Ms T and I went here, just to be trying neighborhood establishments. I’m not sure our experience could have been much worse. They were very busy. After we were seated it took over 10 minutes for a waitress to bring menus and take our drink orders. Then we waited and waited and waited. Finally, 40 minutes after we were seated, I decided to leave money for the drinks and walk out. I was getting the cash out to do so when a waitress showed up. We decided to stay, which was really not a great idea. Ms. T had some kind of chicken sandwich or something that was apparently OK. I had their«signature» brisket sandwich. Dumb idea, I actually know better than to do this in St Louis. There is a reason why you don’t order brisket in St Louis. It was extremely sub par, being dry and without the redeeming flavor of even average barbecued brisket. They can get by with this because people here don’t know better through no fault of their own. I suspect this is a place to go for a burger and a beer. It is a happy hour place, not a restaurant. For that it is probably OK. Some day when we don’t want to drive more than 2 – 3 miles, we may try it again, just to be fair about it. I fully realize that one try is not a good test of any place.

I think this restaurant is good for some things more than others. When I went there and got burgers and beer, I was more than satisfied. It has a great laid-back atmosphere, attentive service, and a decent beer and wine selection. There’s also a decent patio, though it does just overlook a parking lot and Olive Road. I’ve also had some of their sandwiches and was happy with my meal. However, I went there for lunch recently and wasn’t totally impressed. I ordered a Greek salad, which the cook left the red onions and pepperoncini off of. The waitress promptly had it fixed, but it was a bit annoying. The person I was with had a pulled pork sandwich, and he said it was so-so. I do like this restaurant and will go back, but might just stick with burgers, sandwiches and beer.

I went to Miller’s Crossing the other night for dinner. Right off of Olive Boulevard just barely in Chesterfield, Miller’s Crossing was packed with the left over crowd from happy hour. Inside there are plenty of tables to be sat at away from the bar, so you do not have to worry about smoke drifting over and there is also ample seating outside. Since I got there on the later side of happy hour, the out door seating was pretty much filled so I just opted for a booth. I sat down and found myself having a hankering for a hamburger. Looking over the menu to quickly feed my fix I found exactly what I was looking for. The hamburger was perfect. Cooked just how I liked with the addition of some pepper cheese, the juicy burger was nice and tasty. Of course I also had a nice tall Guinness to wash it down.
