First I would like to preface that the server that I had(Jennifer) was more than accommodating and lovely. As far as my Hellfire Chicken Sandwich, on the other hand, the same cannot be said. While the chicken breast was cooked well the hot pepper sauce was more like a watery salsa and the degree of heat did not live up to its name. I had to ask for jalapenos to increase the heat level. The watery sauce created an extremely soggy bottom brioche bun that was not conducive to holding or eating for that matter. My recommendation would be to substitute out the salsa for a spicy aioli or mayo of some sort. The other people in my party had a grilled cheese and steak salad which both had mentioned were doing correctly. Hopefully this will not become a regular thing or else my frequency in dining here will drastically decrease.

Came here and got a burger tonight. Won’t ever be back to a Hamlin pub because of it. It’s a pub yeah, so I mean I wasn’t expecting a 5 star burger on a fresh baked bun or anything… But I also wasn’t expecting a bland and obviously pre formed and frozen patty either. It was advertised as an angus burger but I’m sure that Mcdonalds meat is better quality. It was honestly so bad that I took 2 bites and couldn’t do it anymore. My job has been cooking in restaurants for about 10 years now and I can tell you that it’s not hard to use fresh beef for your burgers. Come on… Go the extra mile, spend the extra $ for some decent ground beef. If you guys cut this big of a corner it makes me wonder what other corners you cut back there. Don’t care, won’t be back to waste any more money.

Asked for 4 different beers that were on the list that they didn’t have. They don’t keep up on their beer list. The pizza is like Red Barron won’t be back.

My parents took my brother and I out for pizza on a Wednesday evening, where pizza is ½ off! I was fairly impressed with the inside of this bar. Very large, roomy, fair amount of televisions for games and seemed pretty clean. Brother said their Killians on tap was gross and that’s why they lost a star. Service was fantastic, didn’t have to ask for refills on my Pepsi & plates were cleared very shortly after setting them off to the side. Their pizza was awesome. I liked their sauce, the amount of mozzarella & toppings were far from skimpy. And the pizza came out shockingly fast. The crust was soft but had a nice crisp to the bottom of it. I’ll be back!

Always have a decent time here, but has a strange vibe, can’t explain it. The customers are weird and the servers are nice but kinda zombie like… I’m not sure how to explain it better… must be a Chesterfield thing? Lol But it’s cool overall. And the karaōke is cool

Food was good. Place seemed very dirty. Finish on the tables wore off. Staff was very nice.

Came in for March Madness, per usual. I have been taking the first Friday of the tournament off for almost 10 years. I come in with a huge group of friends and we basically stay all day. It’s just tradition, even though many of my friends begged me this year to change it up. I stood firm in my loyalty, even though the food is anything but particularly good. This is about basketball. When we arrived before noon we told our very nice server(Kaitlyn) that we would be there all day. Yes, we mean all day, as in we will leave when the last game is over which will be around midnight. We will have lots of people coming and going during that time — 20 or more — and we would be eating and drinking all day long. We would be generous with our tip as we understand we are consuming a good part of a servers time for the day. Kaitlyn was all good with this, but warned us she had zero control over the TV’s. This duty fell in the hands of her manager. I was extremely urgent in trying to communicate that proper TV management during March Madness was critical. They would need to have all the games on. As soon as the games began, the problems began. They couldn’t seem to get more than one game on at a time. Literally, we are in a place with about 40TV’s and all of them are on this one game. I spoke with the manager a couple of times, but she didn’t seem to care. I was working my ass off trying to help them understand that we needed to get the other 3 games on other TV’s. We worked on this for about 90 minutes, but then me and my whole crew had to close our tab and move down the street to Art & Jakes. No surprise here. A&J’s had zero problem making sure that their TV’s were managed properly, and of course their food is far superior. Looks like we have a new place for our March Madness tradition next year.

My family and I stopped in Sunday night for a late dinner. We got there around 8pm and the place was pretty dead, especially since the Lions game ended soon before. We snagged a table, ordered our drinks and food in a quick time. The door was open and a cold breeze blew throughout the restaurant. We asked a waitress if we could close the door but she said it was open for a reason so we simply moved tables. Took about 45 minutes to get our food but I will say it was pretty tasty when we finally got it! I got the pub sliders. Fresh buns, lots of flavor in the meat. Served with crispy fries, cheese, pickles and onions. My sister had the corned beef sliders, which I never heard of before and they tasted just like St. Pattys Day. Corned beef was lean and not fatty at all. Service at this point was non existent. No refills, took forever to get the bill. Took even longer to get my debit card back. Waitresses just stood in the corner talking and texting on their phones. Great bar atmosphere. Karaōke on Sunday nights, lots of TVs and pool tables for your enjoyment. Food prices are a little on a pricy side compared to nearby bars/restaurants.

Met friends here for dinner and drinks. It was a Thursday evening so not very busy. Our waitress was friendly and made a few suggestions on the food. Our group ordered pizza and it was pretty good, not the best, but pretty decent for a bar. They make a decent dirty martini but they make an even better cosmopolitan. They had all the games on the TV and they have Keno if you feel lucky. Solid place for drinks and munchies.

No one served me. I had to go to the bar to get my own drinks. It smells like old sweaty socks. I wanted to order food but couldn’t think about eating with the smell. Too bad everything is smoke free now, cuz I’d rather sit in a smoke filled room then to smell that locker room again. No chance I go back!

Went to Hamlin Pub to celebrate a friend selling their house. Great sports bar atmosphere. Red Wings on all 80ish TV’s but they did change one for us to the World Series. Food Was average nothing special. Charging 40 cents for a side of ranch for your chicken sandwich when you have racked up a $ 100 tab is ridiculous.

This is a nice place to enjoy a meal and a brew — it’s a pub, after all. Family friendly, I saw kids in there, altho they probably kick out any kids remaining after 9pm. They have a few TVs to watch your favorite sports. They have outdoor seating, but it was too hot the day I visited, so nobody was sitting outside anyway. I had a trainee as my server and she did a decent job. The only detractor was she goofed up my change, but it all worked out because I subtracted it from the tip I left(not much — just change). Bring in your movie tickets from next door and get a discount on your entrée — same for military ID.

I only went for drinks. It was about as meh as meh gets. Not bad, not good, just kind of… there. For a «pub» it feels more like a sports bar.

Meh. Chicken tenders were really good, but the fries… Bleughghghgh! Looked beautiful but they tasted like rotten potatoes! I had 1 fry that was ok. How can you dick up fries? Come on! Also Bloody Mary — I ordered one made with Stoli — it was bland, not great. No hot sauce and just 2 olives. Being from WI where all places load up a Bloody Mary with pickles, celery, celery seed, not sauce, olives etc(they are LOADED with stuff + a beer chaser) I felt jipped. There is a picture of a Bloody Mary in the menu with all the fixins(less beer shot, which they don’t seem to do here in MI) so I asked. You have to request that one special. So I ordered it — price was about the same, but it SUCKED! I can’t stand pickle juice in a Bloody Mary. Just put a pickle IN it! This pickle juice thing seems to be another MI thang. And the hot sauce was in the outside if the rim of the glass. Dumb. It’s not a margarita people — it’s a Bloody Mary — that shit goes IN the drink. Fail.

Hamlin Pub Chesterfield is two thumbs up. When this placed opened in 2008 I knew it would be a success. The old party city was closed for some time, and Hamlin Pub remodeled the place and it looks really nice inside. Anyone looking for a clean bar, this is your place. They got bar food, and beer specials.
