Monday is a busy day at Dierberg’s. They’re stocking the shelves(stockers in nearly every aisle). And changing over the sales and TPRs(temporary price reductions that aren’t advertised) for the upcoming week. Thankfully, all these folks all over the store served me well, as I needed help finding a few things. In produce, I got the sage and rosemary, but couldn’t find the thyme. Right then, Produce Man comes out from the back, so I asked. He goes right back there, and brings out loads of thyme, and I got my little package. In meats, searching for turkey sausage. Not just ground turkey(which was aplenty). Meat Man was right out there filling up the bins, so I asked. He went back and checked. Delivery not here yet. BUT he found me a reduced-fat pork sausage, and I went with that. Above and beyond, both gentlemen. EVERY stocker I encountered said, «Hello» with a big smile! Some apologized for the aisle congestion. Checkout was a breeze. No waiting. OK, it was 7:30 a.m.

Convenient to where I live, this is your typical local grocery store. This location doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles another nearby Dierberg’s does, but it meets my needs. The take-home sushi option is really good. Plus, I recently tried their fried chicken and it is awesome! They have good pre-made options too if you are looking to save time on lunch or dinner. Not the cheapest grocery store, but I don’t mind paying for convenience. I’ll keep shopping here.
