Chesterfield Nails & Spa

I got a manicure and a pedicure at Chesterfield Nails on a Friday afternoon. I like it. I opted for a nice silver polish on my toes and a French manicure on my nails. Two different technicians performed the services. They were both friendly and nice. The place is clean and while I’m still looking for my favorite west county nail shop this one is now definitely in the running.

As with a lot of nail salons I think a lot depends upon who you get as a technician. If you see Long you will get 5 star service and my gel manicure lasts longer here than anywhere else. Great pedicure chairs and nail polish selection. A lot of people like the dipped nails but it wasn’t for me. I did have one technician I didn’t like very well but once I found Long I won’t go anywhere else.

I have missed my NY spa experience since I moved to St. Louis. After visiting this place today I miss it even more.
This place is okay. The people come across as rude many times and the service is patchy. I would love to find a salon where the person focuses on you and isnt’ busy attending phone calls, isnt interrupted by her kids and can understand/​communicate better.
Disappointed.

Logan has been doing my nails for close to 3 years now. I’m very picky bout my nails and he always goes above and beyond my expectations. Everyone there is very nice and the place is clean! They recently upgraded to new pedicure spas and they are top notch! Highly re commend the gel dip for nails!

Terrible customer service. I was talked into a gel manicure by the owner while the end result was fine, she was more busy answering the phone or helping her staff. It took forever. She said it would last 2 weeks. Within 24 hours a nail chipped. I went back in and they seemed bothered that I was there. They fixed it, but the owner was talking about me to another staff member. All my nails were chipped within 5 days.
I also got my eye brows waxed there and they used MASKING TAPE. Unbelievable. Unsanitary all around and terrible customer service. I’d never go back. Go to AJs!

Still a customer after almost 4 years now. Service and quality is amazing. Have never tried anyone but Logan but everyone seems to be busy all the time. Very clean store, I highly recommend.

Friends don’t let friends go to West County EXCEPT TO GET THEIR NAILS DONE HERE. The facility is impeccably clean and organized. Nothing about it looks questionable. The dip gel is legit, lasts for weeks, and looks incredible. I typically feel really awkward when I get my nails done but not here. The staff is so friendly and easy to talk to. The pricing is incredibly fair given that your manicure is going to last for three weeks. It doesn’t wreck your nail either. Removal just involves soaking nails, no scratching off. Just remember to bring cash to tip with!

Would recommend friends to go there.
I went there for the first time yesterday because my sister recommended it. I walked in, greeted immediately and did not have to wait. Very friendly and outgoing staff. Felt comfortable and relaxed during my manicure. They offer a gel dip, which I have never gotten before. I thought I would try it out. The tech said it’s better, not as hard on your nails as shellac. She said it lasts 3 weeks! I’ll see if that is true. I’m very happy with how my manicure looks and I can’t wait to go back.
Side note: they have a sign posted that says they prefer tips in cash or check. Also, their pedicures are $ 5 off on Mondays and Tuesdays.

So were going to be in chesterfield and two good reviews landed us here. Greeted at the door and told to sit in a chair after she picked a color. Broken English flies through the shop and all is well. Until we look at the nails. They’re bumpy and crooked. When we point this out were made to feel like this is our fault. We’ve done something wrong I guess between the tipping and the walking to the car. Sitting having them fixed as I type this. It will be a long time before I bring my girlfriend back. Then Kim comes over and basically sees all that is wrong and REDOES the whole thing. kim is great. if you ever end up here ask for kim.

I used to love this place 3 years ago and would come here all the time (when I lived here). During my visit, I needed a shellac manicure and came in on a Friday afternoon. It was kind of busy and I had to wait for about 20 mins.
The woman that did my manicure was kind of in a hurry and it didn’t look good. The gel polish actually started chipping within a day or 2, which is definitely not supposed to happen! I was very disappointed b/​c I love this place but b/​c of this recent experience, I don’t think I will be coming back.

I don’t want to go anywhere else for a pedicure ever again. Ok, they’re a little spendy, but totally worth it.
Most nail salons owned by Asian families have a little shrine to their ancestors somewhere in the room. I’ve always been of the opinion that a well-​kept shrine is a very good sign — the owners are serious about family and having a successful business. When I came in, there was a fresh cup of coffee and a cream-​filled donut sitting in front of the incense burner.
And if I was a dead ancestor, I would be *all about* the coffee and donuts. Unless, of course, there’s Krispy Kreme and Starbucks in the afterlife. That would be cool.
Anyway, the reasons for the good review:
#1 — The pedicure chairs have *crazy* strong jets. They’re really miniature hot tubs, not lame little foot baths.
#2 — They clean the basins out with bleach between each client. (I saw them do it!)
#3 — Seriously fantastic foot massage
#4 — They put your flip flops on *before* they do your polish (I am amazed at how many places don’t!)
I also got a little waxing done, and she did something a little unusual. She used masking tape instead of muslin or paper strips. It actually worked really well. And when she was cleaning up with tweezers, she used the tape to clean up the plucked hairs. My brows came out a little bit thinner than I usually go for, but still very attractive.
Oh, and I almost forgot… My nail girl painted great flowers on my toenails. super-​cute.
