I recently ordered pizza from Tina’s for my 6 year old daughter and two children I was babysitting, 5 and 2. Tina’s was the only local pizzeria that was actually delivering that day which made my life so much easier than dragging 3 children out to get pizza. The two year old that I was babysitting has trouble napping during the day. He had fallen asleep while I was ordering the pizza. I asked that instead of knocking on the door, because I knew my dog would start barking like crazy and wake the child up, could the driver please call or text me when he got here. The driver did actually text me from his personal cell phone and I met him outside without waking up the sleeping child. Many places will not do such a nice thing and I really appreciated it. If you have ever dealt with a two year old you know how important naptime is! I also have to say I am NOT a pizza lover, but when I order pizza Tina’s is my local go to. Their pizza is always good, consistent, and the service is always excellent.

I went to Tina’s years ago when I moved to the area with my very young boys at the time. It was the worst food and service than as it was this week. Why I subject myself to this again is really beyond me. I guess after more than 10 years they would maybe have sold it or learned how to make pizza and service a customer. Well let me tell you. We only went in for a few slices. This service sucked, I had to repeat my order three times. Waited a long time for 4 slices and drinks. And to top it all off it really sucked. Now we all have different taste in foods, sure. But wow, burnt, really bad service and the worst pizza I’ve ever had. And it wasn’t just me, it was my whole part who didn’t like it. Now let me just tell you about the décor of this place, Done very cheaply and outdated to the max. I never ever wrote a review on a restaurant before. But this place needs to hear this as well as others who might be thinking about eating here. How others have given this place any stars is way beyond anyone’s comprehension.

Best Pizza in Chester!

Well, I did it again!!! After my last attempt months ago to try TINA’S Restaurant and Pizzeria in Chester, NY, I tried it again and with even more disgusting results. Three unsuccessful previous attempts just with the takeout slices of pizza, I made the mistake of hoping that maybe the hot heroes sandwiches just might be good and maybe I am missing out on something good here. Well folks, I am writing this review from my bathroom, so I don’t think I need to say more! The Chicken Parmigiana hero(To be polite, It sucked) and it literally was the worst in my 62 year lifetime on this planet. Growing up and living in Brooklyn, Queens and«The Bronx» in Italian sections and being italian myself I think I would have a fairly decent pallet as to what is good or at least decent. I reiterate«It sucked»!!! I got there as he was just rapping the hero up in foil out of the oven and bagging it went directly home(in the neighborhood). You couldn’t even pick the hero up with your hands, because it was one big pile of mush! It was falling apart with the mushy sagging bread falling apart and impossible to pick up with all the insides falling out of the hero. I ate the unsides if the hero with a knife and fork because even though the bread was a big pile of mush, it was still a chewy mess. I left ALL the bread for the trash. The overspiced breadcrumbs were all falling off the chicken and soaking intio rhe soggy bread. The taste of the chicken was off and the sauce also tasted off with too damn much oregano(and I love, love oregano) and it tasted like old leftovers that should have been tossed. I swore to myself, never, ever again will I walk in this place. Oh yes, the young dude who gave me my order was a I could care less DB. Even with a nice tip, he was still a DB who should also learn those polite universal words(thank you)!!! I really didn’t have to and in hind sight shouldn’t have gave him a nickle. It’s not hard to do. Hello, or welcome, thank you, come back again, etc., etc. Un-freaking believable. This place is a joke. My second trip to the bathroom. 4 strikes and I’m out…

The dough is too thick and the sauce tastes plain. The specialty pies that are good(shrimp diavolo) are way to greasy. The slices won’t even hold together. I know this is a small town but where are the standards for good food.

I’ve been coming to Tina’s for years now and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. The specialty slices and plain slices are worth every penny. The slices are huge. The employees are always friendly. We never pass by without stopping in for lunch or bringing home dinner. The heroes and pasta dishes are all great, again big portions!

Tina’s is my favorite pizzeria and the chicken or shrimp Diablo pizza is my favorite pie. Sauce is on the money. Calzones are also great. Can’t lose here!

No stars. Why do I subject myself? Proximity. Last time. Service is bad. Food is bad. Employees are rude. Blech. Probably have Tina’s Revenge tomorrow. That was your last chance.

Favorite pizza and always get the veal parm when I’m back home and can get there! Owners are great people and always have great staff. Family owned, operated and run like a good business should be.

Stopped for gas and saw this place across the street — we walked in to smiling faces and a warm atmosphere. We got delicious garlic knots, and three dinners of huge portions… two different pasta dishes and an eggplant parm. Very delicious and highly recommended!

just moved to chester, and decided to order from tina’s because we were in the middle of unpacking. ordered margrite pizza. the crust is too doughy and not crunchy, there were wedges of tomatoes(not thin round slices), it had parm cheese(along with mozz) and no basil. when we called, they asked if we wanted spinach… hmm, weird, i thought. and wanted to just order a plain pizza cuz i had a weird feeling. But my husband went ahead and ordered it anyway. big mistake. i don’t know how their other pizza is — but i probably won’t be coming back here.

I ordered a large pie for delivery. The girl told me it would be $ 13.05 plus tax. Once the delivery driver got here he told me the total is $ 17.05. I couldn’t understand why I was being charged that amount so I had the delivery driver call and ask. They stated it was tax and«delivery cost». I then asked if they had included a tip. Their answer was no. Complete rip off. I paid $ 20 bucks for a pie!!! And on top of that the pie was greasy. Mediocre at best.

I love this place. The slices are HUGE!!! So are portions when it comes to dinner plates and heros. I do have to say, you’ll either love or hate their sauce. Some people rave about it, some hate it. If you’re in Chester, try the buffalo or BBQ chicken slice. You’ll be happy you did.

There are basically two pizza places worth talking about in Chester: Brother Bruno’s, and Tina’s. They’re pretty comparable in price(cheap) and atmosphere(typical casual pizzeria). If you just want a standard cheese pie, Brother Bruno’s is the place to go. For everything else, it’s Tina’s. Better garlic knots, better sandwiches, better specialty pies. Outstanding buffalo chicken and bbq chicken slices. Tina’s location is also a little more convenient, since you don’t need to deal with a busy supermarket parking lot. You just have to deal with a pothole-riddled strip mall parking lot instead. Plus — and this is a big one — Tina’s DELIVERS. In which case, you don’t need to deal with any parking lots at all. We have a winner.
