Comfort Inn

We were able to find a good room here on one of the booking sites. As Chester was about 9 hours from home, I called the morning prior to let the desk know that we’d be checking-​in towards the early morning hours. Not only did they accommodate this, but they moved us from a smoking King room to a non-​smoking — free of charge!
The real gem of this place was Vashti. She answered my initial call and then remembered me the next morning. She was extremely friendly and helpful, making sure that we had a pleasant stay. We needed a few extra minutes to get ready for the wedding and she was more than happy to accommodate with a late check-​out.
They also offer a free breakfast. It’s nothing out of this world, but it was tasty and started us off on the right foot for the day.
The hospitality shown by Vashti, among the other staff, ensures that if we’re ever back in the Chester area, we’ll stay here!

Last night our only option was a smoker’s room. This is a good example why hotels shouldn’t even offer smoking in rooms. As soon as we walked in, the smell of smoke hit us hard, disgusting. Good thing we brought along air freshener. In the bathroom, the ceiling and light fixture have nicotine goo on them. The bathroom has wallpaper peeling back. Overall, this room is not worth the money. The only pluses I would say are, there’s a fridge, microwave, and hair dryer.

We dropped in unexpectedly after 7pm, during a road trip and got one of the few rooms left. Lee at the front desk was very hospitable and took care of me quickly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was clean. Staff was in and out continuously replenishing and wiping counters. I only wish they could help me convince my husband to take a side trip to Virginia Beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Some rooms are not well maintained. The tub drain was backed up and the hair dryer didn’t work. It is quiet, however.

I had not stayed at this location in some time. It’s still a quality property. Professional and polite staff. Rooms are comfortable and spacious.
Two nice touches: A guest bag was at my door with bottled water, cookies, and a thank you note. I forgot to bring my toiletries, and the desk clerk was polite as he quickly put together a complimentary toiletry bag for me.
Breakfast bar was staff by a sweet lady in her 60’s who carried on a very pleasantconversation.
