Waited for about 20 mins for someone to help me with a question I had about a vacuum. Not one employee came over or even said hello to me while I was in the store. No wonder this company isn’t doing well. The store looks like it hasn’t been updated since the early 90’s too. Terrible experience and I won’t be back.

Sad mall, sad store, but I still really like Sears and there is still good here… you just have to look closely for it. Upon pulling up to the building it was in poor condition with regards to maintenance. I was greeted at the entrance by the remnants of a fire. I later learned the mess which I took a pic of and tipped has been there since late December. This is quite unbelievable to me for this large of a chain. It spells more of a local management issue in my opinion. The paint on the building was faded and chipped… just not attractive. I have only been to this store possibly one since moving to Virginia. My go to Sears at Pembroke Mall needed to hand off to Greenbrier Mall to complete my order. I did encounter very nice staff that assisted me, even providing an additional discount when they did not have to. From what little I was at the store I thought it seemed tidy and organized. The problem that I continue to have with Sears in general is the lack of staffing on the floor. You will only find staff for the most par behind cash registers. I encountered this today in Chesapeake and to some extent Virginia Beach Pembroke Mall. The model of customer service has shifted from proactive to reactive, I have issue with this. For me this Sears store just squeaks by at a 3. Some level of corporate oversight at this store is needed ASAP!

Disappointed with Sears. They are my go to appliance company but they contract with Perez Enterprises for water heater installs. Sears can not guarantee install time if after install was late with no call or apology. Here is the my review for Perez Enterpises«If this is the Perez Enterprises that contracts with Sears then they have the Worst customer service ever. Wish I could give them no stars. Had a install scheduled for 5⁄3 for a water heater with a install window of 9−1pm installer showed at 4pm ish. They left a vague message on the wrong phone number about installer being on another job. Installer didnt apoloize just joked and quoted extra charges due to the water heater being too short. I cancelled and reordered a new water heater;however, Perez was the installer again. Then I get a new vague message quoting costs with no explantation. Secretary calls me late today after I called Sears being rude and did not apologize for being late and kept saying I brought the wrong item. The wrong item is not my reason for the complaint its their customer service plus rude and ignorant workers. Sears has lost my busines due to Perez. Run if they are the installer Run Run Run!!! I have had plenty installers run late but apologize they never act like you are doing them a favor. «SORRY Sears get a new installer then I will be back until then here I come East Coast Appliance, HH Gregg or Best Buy!!!

This has to be my favorite Sears store in the Hampton roads area. They always have a good stock on items and have great sale items as well. The employees aren’t to pushy and understand when you tell them you are just looking. We are in the market for a new washer/dryer set and we told the guy we were waiting till Memorial Day weekend sales. He stated he understood and advise us to come in the Sunday before because that is when the sale usually begin even though flyers state otherwise. I was impressed that he understood that I was trying to say some money but also get the unit I want as well. I will make sure I go back to him when I do decide to purchase.

I come to this store because there are times they have things that I cannot get anywhere else at a decent price. Which is good! But their customer service is less then impressive. I have mainly been there for the appliances or electronics, so I normally go in through the pick up entrance because that is where the major appliances are. Well, lately when I have gone in there, I can’t find anyone to help. I do the searching and seeking… They are usually easy to find, so I can deal with that. I am guessing these guys are easy to find because they work on a commission… BUT the electronics area is a different story. I CANNEVERFINDHELP in the department. If I do find someone there, they are a lot of things, but helpful is not one of them. I have actually walked out and taken my business elsewhere because of the disappearing act or the dumbfounded looks I get when I ask a question. The shelves aren’t stocked nicely, some even have a nice coat of dust on them and it looks disorganized. The store always looks a little abandoned and they also need to do something with those lights… It looks so gloomy on the first floor.
