Number One Chinese Restaurant

I ordered delivery and the food arrived in 13 minutes. Food was typical Chinese take out but very good. I’ll definitely order from here again.
Update: Just ordered again and once again the food arrived in about 15 minutes. The hot and sour soup was prob the best I’ve ever had. I also ordered the sesame chicken which was very good. Food was all very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ah, Number One Chinese. First, let me clarify my reasons for reviewing this restaurant with such a high rating. This is your typical, run of the mill take-​out/​delivery-​style Americanized Chinese food. I have seen my fair share of strip shopping center No. 1, No. 2, Chinese places and this spot is just more of the same. You’ve had one, you’ve had ‘em all.
While there may not be anything that particularly sets this restaurant apart, they are consistently fast and convenient when you just don’t feel like getting ready to go «out, out» to eat (when you just feel like relaxing at home with your jammies). They deliver fast and the food is always fresh/​hot.
Originally, I started ordering the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce lunch special and it was my go to on Sunday’s for lunch. Nothing special, just generic Chinese. And that is good enough for me when I’m feeling like having a delivery night.
I’ve learned though, that if you want the lunch special you have to specifically request the lunch special and it’s pricing. Just because you order a combo here during what is considered «lunch special power hour», doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll charge it correctly. Especially, if you’re eating for one.
All-​in-​all, just another average fast food Chinese establishment.

Hole in the wall. The food is decent & pricing is reasonable. Just get in & get out quickly. Minimal English spoken, so don’t preorder. Convenient location & average Chinese food.

Had dinner from here and I have to say. It was really good! I’m not from this area I’m a trucker who was layer over… they delivered it right to my Semi Truck in the snow! The beef lo main was excellent! Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed :)

This place has had some blistering ups and downs. Years ago it was under ownership of a gentleman who operated the business very poorly. You could actually purchase the same meal throughout the week and get different prices every time.
After awhile you started to wonder if it was your cologne, clothes or just the mood of the owner that got you better prices over others. To top that off, the owner was not very polite on the phone and exceptionally abrasive.

Roughly a year ago they went under new management. The food quality became better and the service not as atrocious. The place looks indicative of a literal hole in the wall that is just trying to get food out and nothing else.
There is enough room for them to have a few tables but the one table that does exist, is usually occupied by a child or elderly person (whom I’m going to assume is related to the owners or manager). Aside from that there are a few chairs that allow those who order «to-​go» to sit down by. So eating here is generally not an option.
As far as the food quality, it’s not bad by any stretch of the imagination. It’s pretty much a fast food Chinese place that you could expect when craving sweet and sour sauce or General tso flavoring (they do have a tofu option that my wife seems to like — hence the 3 star rating… gives me some flexibility with giving her some food).
One nice thing about this facility is its location — close to a Food Lion. You can order your food, walk over and get some grocery shopping done, then pick up before you head home!
