This place is great. Every time we are visiting my boyfriend’s family in Hampton Roads, we go to Nacho Grande and every time we leave Nacho Grande I am the fattest and happiest person alive. The chips and salsa are average here, white sauce is stellar… as all white sauce is. Speaking of white sauce, let’s start with how it is exclusive to Hampton Roads and everyone that lives there should eat it all of the time and be so thankful that it is in their life! I live in DC and am from OH— I am here to tell you that white sauce doesn’t exist everywhere, SO eat it and enjoy it for the rest of us that aren’t as fortunate! I double dig the pineapple dish. It comes with a variety of meats in a beautiful pineapple, served with rice and tortillas. It is truly an outstanding choice and the presentation is just so much fun! You could split this between two people, SO much food. My better half and his sister are both fans of Ramon’s Plate. This is a nice dish for those in your life that enjoy a simpler dish. A little lacking in flavor for me, but it seems to be a crowd pleaser in this little crowd. Great food for a great price. Service is good. Will go again and again.

We have a new favorite Mexican, place. 2 people 1 jumbo margarita, 2 entrees, $ 30.17. They provide red and white chip dip. My favorite Mexican food is the Chili Relino. They have a chili Authentico. Served topped with meat and served with rice and beans. Plus soft tortillas. Wow very good snd the best refried beans i ever had. Wife had Nacos supreme. Chips were crisp, beef well seasoned. Neither of us completely cleaned our plates. A definate go back again.

I went to this restaurant last night for a birthday party and I was shocked they were able to seat our party of almost twenty in one row! But the light of was definitely an issue and the food wasn’t satisfactory. I get the same thing at every Mexican restaurant(enchiladas rancheras) and I would have to say that 3amigos does it better by all counts.

Good Mexican food in Chesapeake. The owner is almost always on premises and is friendly. I like the enchiladas verdes which are stuffed with chicken and spinach. My wife almost always gets the papa pollo which is a baked potato stuffed with chicken. The white rice is an option instead of Mexican rice and is quite good.

Love Nacho! We spend way too much money here!!! Sometimes they are a little slow but it is usually when it is super crowded but they do a phenomenal job of getting your food too you as quick as possible once ordered. Margaritas are on spit and we all love Cinco de Drinko

Excellent Mexican food. One of the few that serves Mole sauce. Table side gucamole prepared to your taste. Best Margaritas & Margaronas! Friendly staff, always attentive to your needs.

The best Mexican food in Hampton Roads! We are native Texans and have lived in California too; and this place is by far the best Mexican food in this area. Wonderful service, kid friendly, family atmosphere. The only complaint we have is that it is slightly lacking in the spiciness department. Overall, highly recommended though!

Three stars. Average. Nothing special. Nothing bad to note, nothing good to note. If you are looking for bland, Mexican food that is made with last week’s produce, then this is the place for you. Do they have all the basics? Yes. Do you order your meal based on what combination number it is? Yes. Is your plate full of tasteless, high fat calories? Yes. Do they remind you that the plate you are eating off of is hot? Yes. Does they food leave you with that pukey full feeling? Yes. Clearly Nacho Grande has just what you have come to expect from Mexican food in the Tidewater area. Nothing more. Nothing less.

FINALLY, a Mexican restaurant in Chesapeake worth a repeat visit! The hubs and I had lunch here on Black Friday and were really pleased. I’d have been super surprised it was nearly empty had it not been for the fact that we had lunch so late in the day. Of course, that was good for us because our food came out with a quickness. We both had lunch combos. The lunch portions were just right and the food was delicious. SO much better than other mexican restaurants in the area. The staff was pleasant and attentive, as it should be. We had a really nice chat with one young lady, who was genuinely pleasant. For some reason those attributes seem to be lacking these days, but definitely not here. We will be back!

By far the best Mexican food in the area. The staff is wonderful and the service is great. A few times I have been there with a party of 15 or more and they were more than accommodating. Nachorita is a must try if you are a margarita fan.

¡Por fin! Excelente comida mexicana en Chesapeake! The food is really is authentic, unlike many restaurants in the area that claim to be but aren’t. Abuelita would be proud. I need to make my way through more of the menu before I can rate this place five stars but there is hope. Some things are missing from the menu such as frijoles de la olla y frijoles de negra(whole beans and black beans) but what is there works. When I asked about both I was told they did have them on the menu before but they just don’t sell in the area. I can understand that and catering to the area but it’s a shame. On the other hand, I was told that if I called early in the day, they would set some frijoles de la olla aside for me. Now that’s service! The menu is diverse and plentiful. The décor is average. Not too sparse nor elaborate. It’s about what you’d expect in a strip mall. The service was attentive and quick. Having spent 40+ years in Southern California where Mexican food is literally the native food and Avocados are the official state fruit, I have some high standards when it comes to this cuisine. So far, Nacho Grande holds its own quite well. As others have noted, good happy hour specials on draft beer. If your vision of Mexican food is a «run for the border,» this place isn’t for you. On the other hand, if you want real food made with care, this is the place. Oh, and don’t forget the flan! It’s homemade, served properly(no nasty canned whipped cream), and tasty!

There are several Mexican restaurants within a close proximity to us here in Great Bridge. In my opinion, Nacho Grande is the best. The food is good, the service is EXCELLENT, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. I’ve tried most of the items on the menu, and have been rarely disappointed. Good draft beer specials during happy hour, and my wife is addicted to the Nachorita, the restaurant’s signature margarita. I highly recommend this restaurant, we will continue to drive past other Mexican restaurants to go eat at Nacho Grande.
