I recently went back here for Father’s Day for brunch and it was even better than the dinner menu. I got the asparagus and cheese omelet and the breakfast nachos for the table. Both were amazing but the breakfast nachos were the best nachos I’ve ever had. They had beans, two eggs on them over easy(i think) and was a hidden gem on the menu. Everyone that worked here was extremely friendly and welcoming!

For the umteenth time last night, we had a fantastic dinner at our favorite restaurant. The creativity and hospitality can’t be matched anywhere… Whether you want a casual meal or if you have a special occasion, this is the place! Everyone on staff is professional, yet friendly and very knowledgable about everything from the chef’s inspiration to which farm the food came from.

The Unilocal reviews were convincing. Maybe this is as good as it gets in this part of town. I don’t know because I was a visitor from out of town. I like farm to table concepts and I’ve become a believer. This didn’t live up to the reviews. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but it didn’t blow me away especially at premium prices(drinks were as costly as entrees). The menu looked like good American fare with exotic twists. Kudos for that. The wings were good, but weren’t cooked hard enough(i don’t like hard fried wings.) The cheesesteak was ok, but could have been better.(We were so close to Philly!) The mussels were great!

Came because of the high rating here when driving from DC to NYC. It did not disappoint. The Bedeviled Eggs are a must. The fare is all farm to table. Fresh ingredients and a lot of variety on the menu.

Came here after work durning the week and was seated straight away. Decent crowded in side like always and I noticed a stellar beer selection. I have been here a few times so I know my way around the place. Ordered one of the cape may beers on tape which was pretty good. I wanted to try the summer wheat one but they just ran out of it, of course. Though the one I had was not that bad and I also ordered the funnelcake nitro beer which is always a fantastic choice. For starters we ordered the breads and spreads for the table which is honestly a must if you have a few people with you. This plate had everything you could imagine and I honestly could have just stuck with that for dinner it was so good. For entrée I ordered the pan seared shrimp which were okay. The dish had good flavor but it was not anything off the charts. Overall good time here, if you are in the area I always recommend this place as they have an awesome beer menu and food selection.

Came here in a group of 4 for dinner and everyone was really happy with choosing The Farm and Fisherman. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with my group’s questions(we had a lot of them). I ordered the 24-hour onion dip and chips to share with the table, and their Monday night special fried chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy, charred swiss chard, and a biscuit with chili honey. The food was delicious. The onion dip grew on me as I ate it more, it tastes pretty different from your typical jarred french onion dip(so if you love it as much as i do, don’t expect this to be too reminiscent since it has real ingredients and all that.). Creamy with bits of soft caramelized onion and served with delicious, extra thin and crisp housemade potato chips that are still warm from the fryer. The chicken was also delicious, and a HUGE portion. The mashed potatoes were smooth and fantastic, the gravy was really flavorful and not too heavy, and their vegetables are just out of this world tasty and tender. I docked a star from a perfect 5 because while the chicken was delicious, I do wish it had a little more spice. Also their cocktails are expensive, 2 of my group ordered a martini and a cosmo and both were $ 11 which is a little pricey for not-city drinking. My beer was $ 6 which I thought was very reasonable, and they have a nice variety of craft beers so no complaints there. Really want to come back to try their BLT.

I love good food. I enjoy it even better with fantastic service which is what we received here tonight. The potato skins are out of this world and the burgers we all got were very good. My wife is gluten & dairy free and our server was extremely helpful in assisting her. We had no room for dessert but they looked good as well.

Quality of food at dinner was fine. I had very good minestrone soup and fish n chips while the wife had the«wreck» fish special. The portions were on the small side. Issues: entrees took at least half an hour to come out and the place was not overly busy at this time.. For the two of us the bill before tip was $ 55, which I think was too high given we had no drinks, appetizers, or dessert.

My BF& I decided last minute on having dinner at the Farm & Fisherman Tavern prior to a double date at the movies with some friends on a Friday night. Thankfully, there was no wait. We started off with the Caramelized Cauliflower & it was AHH-MAZING! The cauliflower is caramelized with mushrooms in curry sauce. As simple as this dish sounds, it definitely exceeded my expectations. My BF was recovering from food poisoning from the night before, so… I got to eat most of it. Teehee. ;) For our entrees, I ordered the Industrial Burger and my BF had the BLT Sandwich. I devoured both my burger & fries. It was just a simple burger, that I thought would have more of a brisket texture(since the menu says it’s dry-aged brisket, which can be misleading), but it was still good. The fries were crisp & delicious. Unfortunately, my BF did not enjoy the BLT due to his condition, but said it tasted good like any other BLT. The service was a little slow. We received the appetizer shortly after we ordered, but waited an additional 20 minutes for our entrees. Our server was not the most attentive. Throughout our courses, she did not check in on us to see how we were doing until our water glasses were completely empty. Overall, it was a great experience. The service wasn’t terrible, but can be improved. I would definitely go back for the food.

It was a perfect way to start a week. On Monday, my friend and I went this place for lunch. We shared PEI mussels for an appetizer. I had a lamb burger which was really good over two glasses of Victory Hop Ranch while my friend enjoyed grass fed beef burger. Waiter was very attentive and did not bother us at the same time. His recommendation for both lamb burger and beer were great too. I will come back to this place in near future for dinner.

I usually don’t rush to write reviews .but I really dislike this place… and the sad part is I have been eye balling this place for quite sometime. The only reason why this place is receiving these stars is because the bar tender… he was wonderful. Let’s start off with their apple– tini drink. It was neither bad nor good. very sweet but lacked a distinct taste… I did not have the faintest idea of what the drink was suppose to taste like! The drink did not taste like apple, nor a martini… hmmmph…The martini was $ 14. With $ 2 off during happy hour. this price was not impressive because I was in Cherry Hill, NJ not Washington, DC. So I ordered the fries and the chicken wings… again neither bad nor good… the sauce was frightening and was not flavor ful… the fries was so lacking… I left here with a meh feeling. honestly I felt robbed of my coins because the bill came to $ 30.00 with tip. I was very disappointed with my meal… I would have been angry if I did not come during happy hour and had to pay full price .the décor was okay. nothing spectacular. I felt like I was in a restaurant in Chicago with a high end pub presentation. It was not unique. it was exclusive. just meh… I will not be back at all… I can say I tried it and now I am done

Well I want to take the time and thank the creators of Unilocal without y’all this wouldn’t be possible… MOMENTOFSILENCE. Ok so this was hands down a great experience. Danny waited on my group and was 4 – 4 tonight in picking out my tastes. He asked what kind of things I was into and stylistically read me like a book. Craft Beers: I had the Victory lager and I had the Churchville Lager. Victory had a lighter taste but reminded me of Yuengling. The Churchville had a little more bite but was so crispy in taste. Loved my beers. Appetizurrrrs: I had the Smoked wings with Yogurt Ranch dressing. Stellar job on the sauce. And the wings were appetizing. Entrees: my sister got the Pot Roast with steamed Vegetables and a biscuit, our friend got the Puréed Vegetables under Pan Seared Scallops and Jumbo Shrimp(He did mention that he wished the meal was more appetizing for the price tag! No starch was in his meal) BUT lastly I ordered the LAMBSHANK!!! over butter grits. This meal was knock out I couldn’t have asked for a better meal. Never would’ve thought of combining the two and the sauce was so great. Desert: well why stop is what I thought, we ordered the Crumb Donut with some type of Lemon sauce and it was so good. Places like this is why I review. Love being able to push people in the right direction.

Absolutely delicious meal at the Farm and the Fisherman. The food is incredible. Seriously so good. We wanted to knock it down a half a point for service but just couldn’t because the food is THATGOOD! To start we had the cheese plate. For $ 17, it was a little expensive but when it arrived it was so worth it, you get lots of cheese. There were three different kinds: a Brie, a cheddar and something else hard. You get big amounts of each. Then there were two different types of crackers, walnuts, some fancy jam and a fancy red mustard. Very good and very worth it. A server even brought it out and nicely explained each item on the board! I had the Astoria Burger but subbed the onion for overnight tomatoes and the ketchup tahini for plain tahini. INCREDIBLE. This burger is seriously heavenly. I loved it. I think the tomatoes added the right flavor and the whole thing was just so good. My mom had the brisket burger. She enjoyed it but the cheese was all stuck on the bun and not the burger which she was not a fan of. The fries were super yummy! The side salad is ok. Go for the fries they’re worth it. Ok the dessert. Don’t skip out on dessert. You will not be sorry. We had a Donut Sticky Bun Bread Pudding served warm with vanilla ice cream. Oh my goodness. It was so good. YUMYUMYUM. Just indescribable goodness(see picture). All the desserts sounded amazing it was hard to pick but this one was just delicious. The only flaw was that our server wasn’t very attentive. She didn’t come over to check how our food was or refill our drinks. My mom had to ask twice for another soda. So A+++ for food but B+ for service. Doesn’t matter, the food wins. Cannot wait to go back again!

Ok, so here we are shopping on a Sunday afternoon. The one thing about shopping with my wife is sooner or later she is gonna get hungry. So there I was sitting in my car listening to the Eagles game when Bam hunger strikes. Well as usual I turn to Unilocal to find some good eats. Came across this and man am I glad we did. Forget the review the pic along got me. Just as the previous Unilocaler’s had said you walk in and there is a market, a bar area and a little off to the left is the dining room. Great background music and a nice cozy place for a dinner. If there is one down side is what you read on the on line menu or see in pictures may not be available as they are fresh farm to table and only have what is seasonal. So that said the entrees we went there for were not on the menu. No worries they have plenty to offer. We started off with a broccoli falafel(Tahini, pickled turnips and pita) that was awesome. Followed that up with my dish… lamb shank over risotto in a wine reduction sauce. Lamb could not be more tender but the sauce was so intense they could have pulled back a little. My wife opted to have the fish of the day which was a monk fish fillet(poor man’s lobster) over couscous along with tiny chunks of beets with a ever so slight coating of a beet reduction sauce. Truly divine(I had to sneak a piece). Sorry no room for dessert but the desert menu looked quite inviting but had to push away. I would have never tried this place on my own as I have been by here tons of time but blew right by it and the strip mall it is in. Thanks Unilocalers you did it again? If you haven’t been here come you will enjoy it. Be prepared it’s a bit pricey.

My wife and I are dining here for the first time. She wanted to try it out. Great dinner date! This place is easy to pass by if you arent looking for it. Once you are welcomed inside it, has a neighborhood feel. It is a restaurant, deli and tavern. Everything is spaced out nicely. You can sit at the bar which is in tbe center section. You can sit at tables or semi booths if you choose to dine in a more traditional setting. This is a farm to table restaurant. Everything is locally sourced, as far as the menu items are concerned. My wife went pub grub style and had the wings as her appetizer, main course, fish and chips. I had the Maryland Crab Cake as my appetizer, main course Pan seared Salmon with salad. My meal was pretty tasty as well. Our waiter kept our glasses full. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant had a nice crowd tonight. We drank non-alcoholic beverages tonight. There is a nice sized beer and wine selection also. Next time I will try a beer. My wife and I will definitely dine here again!

Stopped in for lunch and went for the«out of the ordinary» cauliflower panini. It was surprisingly awesome. I’ve never had cauliflower that I felt was anything worth giving 2 thoughts to but it being a focus as a sandwich??? I was intrigued. It’s really special. There is a little zing of jalapeño in there which I love, I could have easily had another. This came with house made chips twice cooked, they were fine, but I honestly didn’t care, the panini was that good. We also had a open faced tuna melt with overnight tomatoes(reminded me of a hearty & juicy sundried tomato) and a side salad with lemon vinaigrette. This was really good as well. The whole grain wheat bread offered a sturdy foundation for a delicious open face Sammy, I hate it when the bread on an open face gets mashed and soggy. The lemon vinaigrette was quite tasty as well. Our waitress was really friendly and quick and never let our drinks get low. The hostess staff was really friendly and efficient with pleasant greeting upon arrival and departing. Will definitely have lunch here again!

I’ve known about this very competent and somewhat hip restaurant for awhile now. I had met Mr Lawler at a favorite spot of mine when he participated in a collaborative chef’s dinner last summer. Based on the food at that event and the popular reception of this location I knew a visit was forthcoming. Luckily today that opportunity presented itself in an enjoyable way. It is no empty compliment that his business really elevates this humble strip mall. The casual chic/rustic décor hints at what can be expected in the dishes. This is local, ingredient driven cuisine that does not try to impress you with technique, plating, or obscure components. It relies on the good common sense of chefs who know what works together, and how to make each product shine on its own. Our visit was during the brunch service, and it was evident from the amount of patrons that locals know a good thing when they experience it. The menu had something for anyone, but the savory choices outnumbered the sweet ones, which was fine by me. There are even lunchish items if that is your desire. We shared the bedeviled eggs, which were elevated by garnishes of bacon and toasted faro. I’ve had better, but these were above average. And also the homemade chips and onion dip. This was something I can imagine devouring at home while sitting in front of the tube. For mains we stuck with the savory entrees, my companion had Chilaquiles and loved them(I concurred) and I had shrimp and grits, also very good with nicely blended components. We both somewhat regretted not ordering the breakfast nachos only because they looked so good. If you come with a quartet this would be a perfect starter, but way too much of a good thing for a pair. I was impressed by the wine and beer selection but didn’t imbibe on this visit. And the desserts which some have raved about are not offered during this meal. No matter, just more of a reason for us to go back and try dinner here. Service was outstanding, our server was able to answer any questions we had, recommend items, and was on the ready to provide us with anything we might require. As someone who loves local it is very easy to be a fan of F&F. Now to try the dinner options.

We went for brunch and OHWHAT A BRUNCH! The menu is so diverse and my dish was absolutely delicious. I’m sorry but I forget the name of it but it boasted a fried egg, chicken and some Mexican. The blend was excellent! Appetizers were deviled eggs so artistically prepared and chips w/onion dip. Both were very good. The service was friendly and well attended too. I liked the décor also. The only disappointing factor was that there were only two dessert choices — WHAT!!! Donuts or sticky buns — neither are favorites of mine. We passed. But that’s okay as The Cheesecake Factory didn’t disappoint ;)
