Juicy(soup) buns for the win. We were lucky enough to snag seats on a Saturday for dinner. I strongly advise against sitting on the cushion seat along the wall if you have back problems. It’s also pretty snug in the restaurant, but in a cozy way. Had the grilled lemongrass chicken egg noodle soup. The chicken was fantastic, even cold a few days later. The noodles are Neverending loops, and the broth neither had high density flavor or the delicate aromatic taste I kind of expected. After the veggies had time to chill in the refrigerated broth, the leftovers were tastier. The owner is really attentive and nice. The chopsticks are annoying for some reason. You automatically get green tea, which is awesome. All in all, I dig.

Outstanding in nearly every way! My only complaint is that it’s just so good, sometimes there is a wait for a table. Service is attentive and prompt. Owner is always present and makes the rounds to the tables, making sure every patron is pleased with their meal. And the place is very clean inside. Sometimes we get traditional noodle or rice entrees, and sometimes we just order some appys for dim sum. We’ve been here at least a dozen times in the past year, and every meal was perfect. If you like shrimp, try the shrimp dumpling soup or shrimp rolls. To die for! And if you’re trying to go paleo, the lemongrass chicken or roasted pork appetizer will fill you up nicely. Prices are definitely reasonable for what you get. Oh, and it seems like they do alot of take-out business too.

Husband and I were in the area on a mid-day errand and looked forward to trying another new-to-us eatery. It was a bit of a hot afternoon for noodles in broth, so we opted for other dishes: two dim sum items: a duck roll(juicy Peking duck wrapped in a flour pancake) and an order of steamed dumplings filled with watercress, shrimp and pork, and a dinner-sized hot pot of short ribs, string beans, and peppers. The duck roll and dumplings were the best part of the meal. The hot pot, with a flavorful brown sauce and full of vegetables with a nice crunch, featured cross-cut thinly sliced rib sections that were a bit of a challenge to eat due to their toughness. A sharp knife and fork were necessary to negotiate it. Since this is not a dish I have ordered before, I have nothing with which to compare it other than other short rib dishes where the meat was braised for a long time. Are short ribs prepared hot pot style expected to be exceedingly chewy? The restaurant had a pleasant, modern Asian décor and the bathroom was nice and clean! Definitely worth another visit.

Not sure why such high ratings. Service was horrible to say the least. Food…was ok at best. Way over Salted, everything is made with MSG and you cant request to leave it out since its already in the soups, sauces etc… No need to go back with so many other good Oriental food choices around.

If they didn’t put MSG in the food, I wooda given them 5 stars. Hot & Sour soup w/chicken instead of pork was real good, shrimp/chive dumpling, nice ! — pepper mei fun was good as was the two hot pots. But headache after MSG and they admitted they use MSG. Next time I will tell them NOMSG ! — right near HAN Dynasty, a bit less pricey and more options on the menu.

I really want to give Sang Kee a 4 or 5 star review, but I just haven’t had that experience yet. They get so much right, but I’ve been disappointed in something both times I’ve been. I was so excited to try the noodle soup with roast pork and wanted to love it, but it had a fishy flavor that I just wasn’t expecting at all. That’s my subjective opinion of course, as it appears to be a big hit, but it’s not for me. The Three Cup Chicken hot pot is a real head scratcher, and a major let down. Recipes vary, but one can generally expect chunks of chicken braised in a very flavorful sauce, with Thai Basil being a major component. When the waiter asked if I wanted white or dark meat chicken, I took that as a good sign, and asked for dark expecting nice skin-on bone-in chunks of chicken leg. Unfortunately what arrived was a very bland bowl of boneless chicken pieces in a weak brown sauce, with a few pieces of what looked like lettuce instead of Thai Basil! I almost wondered if they gave me an americanized version on purpose, or whether they were out of some ingredients. Again, a major let down. Wonton soup, hot and sour soup, and spring rolls have all been very good, but I’m still looking for that killer meal. The service is always excellent, so let’s hope my third time’s a charm.

Never had better noodles! Found this lovely little spot here on Unilocal! on a road trip from CT to MD. We usually switch highways in Bordentown, NJ and start looking for new places to eat. We were making a special trip to Produce Junction in Maple Shade so I looked for a sweet place to eat and found Sang Kee Noodle Café. Super fantastic, hot, fresh food… beyond satisfying! I chose the grilled lemongrass chicken with rice noodle soup because I am GFDF and OMG so yummy! I could eat here everyday! Large selection, clean, well decorated, kind staff. Please go out of your way to eat here!

This place never fails to satisfy. Especially Good on a cold day for their warming noodle soups. Every meal is perfectly sized not to big or small.

It’s not your typical Americanized Chinese restaurant. They serve similar dishes that Chinatown restaurants serve but you don’t need to drive into the city! My friends and I came here on Saturday around 7pm and it was so busy. It was so cold so no one wanted to wait outside. Instead, we all squeeze into their tinyyyyy waiting area which had an obnoxious plant hovering over our shoulders. There were more people walking in and picking up their to go orders. Though uncomfortable, the wait was about 20 minutes. I wish they had a bigger place! Anyways, the food was delicious. Their fried rice is delicious!!! Usually the butter or msg is too much for me, but their fried rice seemed more healthy than other Chinese restaurants. We also had their roasted pork noodle soup with egg noddles which was great! You can substitute the egg noddles with other options such as ramen noodles. We also brought our own wine and beer and they gave us a bucket of ice and wine glasses. Great service overall. I’m pretty sure I’ll be returning to Sang kee in the very near future!

Just as good as the original in Chinatown without having to cross the bridge and nicer décor. The manager/owner are extremely welcoming and remember their regulars. The menu is not that big and very simple, with an entire page being dedicated to their well-known noodle soups. My favorite are the wide egg noodles with roasted duck and shrimp dumplings. It comes with a healthy serving of choy vegetables in the soup too. Some people have tried the rice dishes as well, but they taste a little takeout-y compared to the steamy hot soups you could get.

20 years ago they were great. Along with my family and friends I have eaten at the original resturant in Chinatown, However parking is too difficult & inconvenient. LIke alot of businesses, They started franchising them out & the quality took a dump. I’ve gotten things here at the Cherry hill nj. and Wynnewood pa. locations and the prices are high and both locations are VERYVERYVERYSTINGY with the meats and seafood in their dishes. I picked up an order of Tom yum soup for $ 13.00 and was given a difficult time for using a debit card. I was a fan of this place, but no more.

I love the Noodle Bowl Soups. That’s what the 2 stars are for. However, I order the Shrimp Mei Fun for my kids. There was only 4 shrimp in the whole dish. This is the second time it’s happened, so I won’t be going back.

Take-out review! Do NOT get their take out versions of possible. The portions are very skimpy and as well as the the ingredients. I got the spicy beef and tripe and not only was the dish small compared to the in house order, but there were barley any roasted soy beans that normally come with the order. I had to look for them in the dish. The taste was the same. The dish was ready pretty quick(given it was one dish), you can order take out via eat 24 and Unilocal.Take out service was not very friendly either. In the past we have gotten their peeking duck for take out and it was not completely cut and parts of the duck were missing. Very shady!

Seeing the great reviews and yummy food pics of this place, I definitely had it bookmarked for the next time we were in Cherry Hill. It was the perfect opportunity to try it out when we made a trip to Whole Foods a few weekends ago. The space is small. Service is fast and friendly. For lunch, we ordered: Steamed pork and watercress dumplings — DELICIOUS! The dumplings were steamed perfectly and filled w/seasoned pork and greens. The dipping sauce was also tasty, good balance of soy, sugar, and vinegar. Roast duck + BBQ pork noodle soup — OMGYUM! The duck was delicious and tender, the noodles were cooked just right, the BBQ pork was succulent and flavorful, the broth was perfectly seasoned, and the greens were crisp tender. Haven’t had a noodle soup this scrumptious in a while. Must order this! House special chow fun — nothing spectacular, just your traditional dry style chow fun w/an assortment of meats and seafood. It was slightly bland and under seasoned. Overall, we would most definitely come back and try other items on the menu the next time we head to Cherry Hill and in the mood for Chinese food. On the drive back to Cape May, we kept wondering to ourselves why didn’t we order any food togo to enjoy at home. That’s when you know this place was good! Hopefully our second visit will be just as good as the first.

I love this place. It may be small but it’s cozy and boy do they know what good Chinese food is! I love my noodle soups and my mother is the connoisseur of wonton noodle soups and this place nailed it! Friends of ours suggested this place after coming here for years and they know their food. We tested their noodle soups, both wonton and roast duck, which came out beautifully and their portions are huge! Also, their hot pot bowls and their Chinese veggies are on point. I can’t wait to come back to try out their other dishes. Very authentic and great bang for your buck.

Ate lunch at Sang Kee Noodle Café after running errands. I had no idea that they had a Cherry Hill location! It’s much smaller than their other locations, but still a busy spot. We shared the coconut shrimp, scallion pancake, and a Peking duck roll. I liked the coconut shrimp a lot — very coconutty, the way I like it. The scallion pancake was okay — it was a bit too greasy for my liking. Hubs always gets a Peking duck roll. He loves them. For lunch, I had the roast duck noodle soup, and hubs had the roast pork and roast duck with rice and veggies. These are basically our go-tos. No complaints and they hit the spot. Service was prompt and the food was served quickly. Glad we found this spot.

Went here for lunch and ordered tom yum seafood soup(comes with flounder fish, shrimp, clam, muscles and vegetables and pineapple in it). Was very impressed by the food and all but the best thing about this place are the soup spoons they give you. Apparently it’s an Asian thing where they have these types of spoons… I’m Asian and I saw these for the first time. Definitely 5⁄5 for the spoons, they hold alot of volume(soup) and are ergonomic to hold as well. Impressive. Tip; If u don’t want to wait long, ask to be seated at the bar area.
