Our group of 3 was taking a 4th of July weekend trip to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. We didn’t book a room in advance, hoping that we would be able to find a basic room for the night. My guy’s last-minute reservation had to be rescinded, as the hotel was not accepting reservations for the Fourth. Yet, we were able to get a room as a walk in – thank goodness– and only 7 minutes from the casino. We we’re in a room with two queen beds, which were firm but comfortable, with fresh linens and cushy pillows! There were other nice touches, such as excellent a/c, a hairdryer, ironing board and iron, and a coffee maker with decaf and regular coffee.(A mini fridge would have made it perfect.) There was a stand up shower, which was very spacious and had very good water pressure. The room was clean and fresh, with no mustiness to the air. While we only stayed one night, we had a quiet, comfortable rest, which was basically what we desired. A complimentary breakfast was provided, with cereals, mini muffins, biscuits, waffles, sausage gravy, and milk, coffee or juice. No eggs or meat, yet any kind of breakfast is better than none. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating of our last-minute needs and I would be happy to stay there again!

Check-In Process — — — — — — — — – We were on our way to Tennessee when we learned that the road to our locations as closed. We stopped at this location as it was snowing outside and looked to see if there was any vacancy. There are no signs outside to let you know if there is available rooms or not. My wife got down and went in, she waited about 10 minutes before the representative was able to help us. He was on the phone with another guest. In any event, we were able to get a room at a good price and the gentleman gave us instructions on how to get to our room. The Room — — — — — – The rooms are in need of a little upgrading. There was a tube TV in the room(didn’t know those are still being made). The room was not 100% clean, but it was good enough to bunker down and stay out of the storm. There were two full beds in the room. The pillows and the beds were comfortable. The only«knock» I had on the room was: in the morning when the time came for a shower the shower was a bit sluggish — at times I thought the water was going to stop running. I imagine this was an issue because everyone else in the hotel was doing the same. Checking Out — — — — — — – Painless.
