Wow! This place certainly surprised me. We walked into the place and was greeted by a young lady. She let us know it was a bit cold upstairs and asked if that would bother us. Of course not, I was hungry!!! I was blown away with the décor. It was so clean and modern, I already knew I liked the place. The lunch menu was small(thank goodness) so I was able to choose something quickly. I went with the Lemongrass tofu with jasmine rice. The food was perfect!!! I will be back again. Everything about this place was great.

Pad Thai was OK. Taro balls were great. Biggest problem is that they had one waitress. This is a local business and the waitress was working very hard to service the whole dining room by herself and I have a ton of respect for her effort. But service was excruciatingly slow. I’m sure this wasn’t intentional — probably somebody calling out sick, but still hard to get over. I’m giving it 3 stars, because pad Thai was underwhelming along with the service. That being said, patronize your local businesses people and I will be back.

We loved our lunch here! Really nice service and delicious food! Very reasonable and nice setting upstairs(takeout downstairs).

This place is awesome to bring a date or friend especially because of the BYOB. It’s very intimate and I love it. One time however, I ordered Pad Thai came to pick it up bc they don’t deliver and i didn’t love it. They’re also cash only.

Avocado shake has no real avocado, or very, very little. Chicken pad Thai had good flavor but the chicken was bone dry. I didn’t even eat it. I have had 1000 times better pad thai than this. Pass on this place.

Very good Thai food, the pad Thai is a nice sweet and spicy combination at a reasonable price. The décor of the restaurant is very nice and considering it’s ambience I would say the food is very lowly priced(which is great for frequent visits). The young coconut smoothie is amazing taste just like fresh coconut, not that artificial coconut flavoring. The water was served with watermelon instead of lemon which was a nice touch. Highly recommend 5 stars will definitely be back. Lunch special is only 7.95 how can you beat that for a sit down. The only thing wrong was no one was here, which is surprising considering all the above. I’ll have to come back for dinner. Check them out I think there’s only street parking so bring your quarters but it also accepts dimes and nickels…

Cash only. Would have been nice if I knew that beforehand. Food was so-so. I expected a lot better. Too many bean sprouts in the Pad Thai to taste any flavor. Mango Smoothie was decent.

Blessing to Chelsea. This place has the best fried rice i’ve ever had in life. I also absolutely love their pad thai! I’ve also tried their lemongrass chicken and taro balls… Yummm!!! It’s all so perfect. The prices are a little high for the portion size but the quality is impeccable so I can’t really complain. My coworkers often come here for after work dinner and drinks(BYOB). My only complaint is that the portions should be larger. I would love a little more chicken in my lemongrass chicken!

With the annual diabetes convention going on in town, hotels were booked and my visiting friend was forced to take a hotel outside of town. In order to meet for dinner we agreed on meeting partially outside the city in Chelsea. I was a little skeptical about the area which was much more humble and run down than expected and so was fusion foods at first sight. You walk in to a menu board and a staircase; confusing as this is supposed to be a sit-down restaurant. However, when urged upstairs, the top floor opens up in this very quiet, quaint, well decorated floor with 2 and 4 tops and a bar. My friend A and I ordered starters after a long day of travelling and working; Chicken Satay strips [3] and friend spring rolls. The chicken was juicy and the peanut sauce was chunky as I like it. The spring rolls contained pork and there were plenty of them accompanied with the standard chili dipping sauce. The pork was heartier than expected, a plus. Attempting to delicately make use of the chopsticks we struggled with the first 1 or 2 until I abandoned the approach and resorted MBA style eating — stabbing the spring roll vertically with 1 chopstick which allowed for a perfect fit into the slim sauce. The process was appalling to A — yet practical. A much faster way to nipping up all the delicious pork. As main courses, I ordered the Pad Thai with Shrimp and A had the Phở! [Phở Sho he declares, I will have De Phở]. A perfect sized portion, with about 6 succulent shrimp and very mild spice [about a 2]. Excellent. A was overwhelmed with the Phở which came pipping hot. Lip smacking with each spoon full. Plus, they took pretty pictures. Our server turned out to be the owner, who was very prompt in service, yet allowed for a relaxed and delicious meal. The décor was also incredibly tactful. And the music selection was Lounge from the mid to late 2000s. Super happy. All in all a very good meal in an unassuming location.

I went there with my wife. The fried rice we tried was super greasy and the phở was the worst ever. My wife felt very uncomfortable after the dinner.

Kind of bummed, we were visiting from California and made it by 7:40, they closed at 8 but they told us they couldn’t take us because they were closed. We were looking forward to trying BECAUSE of their Unilocal reviews! Bummer we leave tomorrow!

Last night was my 4th time visiting and every single dish and drink I ordered was awesome. Just wish they would add a vegan desert. But I will be back soon

Fyi: cash only! That said, Fusion was such a pleasant surprise! My bf works in Chelsea & this is our go-to when I meet him for lunch. I’m a vegetarian and most dishes were also offered as a vegetarian option. My faves are the hot & sour soup and caramelized onion, pineapple and tofu. My bf always orders the chicken pad see ew(commonly a special). The Thai iced tea is reason enough to go! If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out.

Took the family back since the disapointing last experience and everything was pretty good ! I can’t help but like the place & I’m willing to admit there is no point in holding a grudge, This is good, interesting, and very fresh food in a super unusual, sophesticated, Left Bank atmosphere…(& in Chelsea of all places!, go figure)… They are def worth a try… NB on your way home stop by at my go to Guatamalan *fried chicken* place, Pollo Campero — a block or two away & bring some home for a midnight snack (outstanding) Stephen W.

If I wasn’t so hungry, I would have abandoned the food and gone somewhere else. I ordered the pork chop with vermicelli noodles, Hubs got the Garlic Beef with vegetables. My «pork chop» was mostly bone and gristle. Over salted and barely edible. The Garlic Beef consisted of a few pieces of what looked and tasted like dry, cooked yesterday, beef pellets out of a dog food can. Ew. Nice décor, good service, horrid food. Not worth the money. Two stars instead of one, because of the good service.

As the CFO of a respectable unrecognized non profit organization, my executive board and I decided to have our weekly Friday meeting at Fusion. Many of us have dined here before because the food is tasty. We were all aware that this is a sit down restaurant, therefore, many of us ordered ahead. Upon arrival, our table wasn’t ready, the food came out at different times, the service was slow and the waitress was not entirely pleasant. When I had the pad thai the first time I visited this establishment, it was delicious, but it could be that today was an off day… Another executive board member also expressed that the pad thai didn’t taste as great. The dish was missing fresh scallions and the noodles weren’t cooked well. If your dining time is precious, your best bet is to do take out.

A great place for flavorful Asian cuisine, not what you’d expect in Chelsea. Definitely worth the trip! If you’re attending a show at the Apollinaire, this is the perfect place for pre-theatre dining. Be advised: *CASHONLY*

We dropped into this place because we were catching a play down the street. I happen to eat a lot of Asian food, and I have had my share of Thai and Vietnamese. This place was okay. I got to try a few different things, since we all traded tastes of things. I got the sauteed chicken in coconut curry. The chicken was a bit dry, but the dish tasted fine. The crispy basil chicken was pretty good. The grilled pork chops were a bit dry. My friend got the Phở and was not happy that the waitress put Siracha in for her. She would not have added as much, and it was quite spicy. The prices were about average(about $ 40 per couple, entrees and appetizers) We had a chicken lettuce wrap that wasn’t bad. This place has a BYOB policy for beer/wine. I don’t think I would go back here, I am rarely in the area, and I would rather try somewhere else.

This place is truly a hidden gem… After class in Chelsea, I pondered to myself, where can I find some good eats out here, something different, tired of fast food. I used my handy Unilocal app, and viola!!! Unilocal gave me some good recommendations. I saw this place and all the good reviews from my fellow Unilocalers, and just knew I had to try it, and boy I was glad I did. As soon as I walked in the aroma of the Delicious dishes put me in almost a food horniness(Yes I was horny for this food) i asked one of the servers to recommend something for me and went with the garlic lemongrass sauteed beef with jasmine rice. So simple but so flavorful at the same time. They inquired if I want spicy… HELLYES!!! OMG I enjoyed every bite, I am siked to come back here. I got the food to go, but would love to sit down, the ambiance appeared relaxed and comfortable. I would have never expected a place like this in Chelsea, but I’m glad it is, and I will spend a semester in Chelsea I will frequent Fusion Food often I’m sure
