Back in December, I came to this salon and had an EXCELLENT experience. Shea was my stylist and she did exactly what I wanted, how I wanted it, and made it look incredible. I am a very very picky person, and I felt listened to and well taken care of I tried to book her this spring for my wedding. I need a stylist and a couple assistants to take care of me, my 4 bridesmaids, and my flower girl. So I called the salon multiple times and no one answered. Then finally, I got ahold of the owner, who proceeded to tell me that the stylist no longer works there, but she’d love to get me in for a consult and take care of us for our wedding. I left my cell number– and never heard back! I have called umpteen times trying to reach people at this salon. It is nearly impossible. It’s too bad, because they lost business! I am picky about my choices, and I don’t trust easily, and my experience from December gave me a really good intuitive perspective, and my wedding is next month.

When I called I had made an appointment for a full highlights with low lights and asked what the starting price for the service was and thought the figure was about right. I was seated in Caitlyn’s(the owner) chair immediately and when I explained what I wanted she told me that I didn’t «need lowlights» and proceeded to enlighten me about processes because I had«virgin» hair. What she didn’t know is that I had stopped dying my hair when I had been laid off and just had not had the desire to start dying it again but before all of this I had been dying my hair since I was 14, so it wasn’t my first rodeo! I brought in pictures of exactly what I was looking for in regards for what I was trying to achieve as my end result. And she still told me that I didn’t need low lights.(Should have run out of the chair at that moment!) I had asked for a full foil and she only gave me 12 foils(4 on top and 4 on each side), 12 is considered a partial foil and is therefore cheaper 24 is considered a full foil as the back and underneath are highlighted as well. So now it’s time to pay and I ask what the damage is and she charged me for the full highlight!!! I’m sorry but the owner literally just does what she wants to you hair and I knew exactly what I wanted when I went it there and brought pictures so that there was no miscommunication and I still somehow ended up walking out with a few plain jane highlights only on the top part of my head(which had a good ½ inch of root showing because she did not get close enough to the roots, did I mention I was not new to getting my hair dyed!) All in all do not waste your time and money going here!!!

I must have gone on a bad day but i had the worst experience here. i made my appt with the stylist i wanted specifically. i went in and was immediately handed off to someone else because this person didn’t «feel like» doing my hair. this girl i was handed off to was obviously fresh out of hair school and had little to no experience. instead of doing my roots first then pulling the color through the rest of my hair she just painted entire sections at a time, and when she encountered a knot she ripped it apart instead of combing it out which left me with the worst headache I’ve ever had. it took her an hour and a half to get all the color in and if i hadn’t paid $ 100 to get half my hair ripped out i would have sworn it was temporary color because it washed out in 3 weeks. i will not be going there again

First off: I want to start off by saying. I have been through H E double hockey sticks with my hair for years now. My hair is naturally straight and dark. and usually on its own: healthy and long. I’ve highlighted my hair in the past, with tons of colors(purple, light brown, and bleached the living bejesus out of my hair to have it look unique).I had a bad experience which Im sure everyone has had: where you get a BAD haircut, and your once beautiful hair is found clipped and on the floor when all you wanted was a «trim». After my bob haircut, I sat there and cried like a little baby, paid, and never walked back into the salon«we won’t mention» again. Now that was 5 years ago, and im 25 now. I’ve been getting SOCAP extentions since then for years now: The quality is unlike any hair extentions out there. Its 100% human hair, and feels like silk. The saying ‘you get what you pay for” is 100% true. because let me tell you, I have had glue bonds that ruined my hair, FAKE socap bonds(euro socap etc is NOT real socap and isnt 100% human hair. which i found out)…and SOCAP hair rarely tangles if taken care of properly with the right products and brushes, and the best part is you CANT tell you have extentions in because they blend right in with your hair.(I hate seeing girls with bad extentions, and you can tell where their real hair stops and the extentions begin.) Its ok. you just need to get a mirror to see the back of your head ladies when you go out so you can see how terrible and noticeable it looks). Now: Onto my experience with Shampoo hair and day Spa. I went online to find a local salon that specialized in socap quality extentions,(putting them in and removing them.) How lucky was I to find this salon only 20 minutes from my house where the owner actually works and lives upstairs in this chic’ salon. All the salons order from Joseph, who has owned his salon for over 15 years. He is also the owner of SO.CAP.USA. New England, the north east distributor for SO.CAP.USA Hair Extensions. As soon as I called I talked to the lady at the front desk who was very sweet: I explained to her I needed to make a consultation ASAP so I could get rid of my not so special hair extentions and get my socap back in. She set up an appointment THATDAY with Christina the Queen of extentions. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Christina and the Owner Joseph, who looked at my current extentions and asked me alot of questions, answered any of mine, and were not pushy at all(and the best part is I wasnt surprised at the end when I was paying because I was told how much the total cost would be). I was then led to the heavenly room that was filled wall to wall with socap hair… and saw the colors I wanted to put in. Christina was extremely busy, but she made sure I was a happy customer and made room for me. She took my extentions out, shampoo’ed my hair with a clarifying treatment, and then sent me over to her station packed with marilyn monroe pictures. I was greated by Josephs two adorable dogs.“Bubbles” a teacup poodle with pink nails and looked like a mini show dog. cutest thing ive ever seen, and he also had a cute yorky as well. After all my extentions were finally put in and my hair was cut to perfection, I finally looked at the clock and couldnt believe it was 10 oclock, and she had stayed open for me. She gave me the works: shampoo, conditioner, a travel sized pink brush, heat spray, and even a client maitenance sheet in case I had any questions not answered. These were all included in my services… Needless to say: I will be back in about 2 – 3 months to get a «fill-in’ with her, and I cant wait to get back there and have Bubbles meet my lil teacup Rockie…

I have been going to Shampoo Hair & Day Spa for over 2 years. I happened to google for a Salon to take out extensions and(luckily) fell upon them. I had such a pleasant experience the very first time I went in. The atmosphere is great and I felt so comfortable. Some salons you almost feel like you are intruding in on their space. Christina has been doing my hair and I never walk out unhappy. There are some appointments I tell her what I want and then there are times I leave it up to her because I have that much faith in her talent and skills. Christina is a gem and she is absolutely amazing.
