Texas Roadhouse

The most recent visit has me severely regretting visiting this location and any Texas Roadhouse in the future. We were seated between 8:20 — 8:25, we sat and waited and waited for someone to take our drink order. The waitress Hannah came over after at least 5 minutes and said I’ll be right with you. Another few minutes pass and we order water, Diet Coke, beer, and a coffee for our party of 3. I am not kidding when I say it took her 7+ minutes to bring the drinks! Once we got the drinks she asked us if we were ready to order. We gave her our order of a Tbone MedWell, NY Strip med, and a prime rib well done at 8:40 PM. (The menu states well done means no pink!)We requested another coffee at this time because The coffee was so room temperature one could stick a finger in it without feeling warmth. She apologized and said she’d make us a fresh pot. This was at 8:40 and we timed how long it would take since the other drinks took so long. She brought out another cup at 8:47. The table to our left ordered their food immediately after we gave her our order. Our salads came and we ate those we requested refills that took a long time. We actually saw the waitress getting side tracked on sitting down with other guest chatting when we needed drinks after those salty peanuts and salad. The party to the left of us got their food and we waited and waited for ours to come out. Finally at 915 our food was brought to our table by someone else. One of the guest asked the guy why did our food take so long. We ordered it at 8:40 and it was now 9:15 and the other guest who ordered after us got our food. He didn’t know what to say and our waitress Hannah walked up and asked what was wrong. We stated we didn’t understand why it was taking so long. She said «you wanted a well done steak and that takes longer to cook than the others» and just walked away. The person in our party cut their «well done» steak to find pink. We tracked down our waitress Hannah and she said oh that’s definitely not well done. We asked to speak to a manager because we were fed up with the wait and the excuses. Doug comes over and asks how everything was we expressed our concerns and it did not phase him. He offered no concern about our dissatisfaction. He pretended to care (it was obvious he was putting on a show) simply said let me see what time she put it in. He went to check on the computer stood with Hannah and she came over a few minutes later saying we took it off for you and left the check. Doug never came back to tell us he «fixed» our problem. Not once did either Doug or Hannah tell us they were sorry that the service was what it should be. We all felt like we wasted $ 60+ at this place.

I have never had such horrible customer service in my life. Called in a take out order, and arrived 30 minutes later. There were 6 employees standing up at the front desk, talking and laughing. I let them know I was here to pick up an order, and they told me to wait at the register. So I did. For 15 minutes while they stood there talking and laughing. They were extremely busy, so I would’ve understood if they were actually doing something but they weren’t. Finally someone asked what I needed and I told them I was there to pick up my order, and asked to speak to the manager. Turns out my food was sitting right in front of me on the desk the entire time. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and went on his way. I checked the food, and my boyfriend had ordered a steak medium rare, emphasis on the rare. It was well done to the point where I couldn’t even cut into it. At this point I said never mind and walked out. My boyfriend then called and asked to speak to the manager. He apologized again, and offered to start a new order for us. But that was it. Didn’t seem to even phase them that we had had a horrible experience. When we said we would go elsewhere for food, he said okay thank you and that was it. In customer service, you want to make the customer want to come back, and we didn’t have that experience at all. You really let us down this time.

I went to Texas Roadhouse last Thursday and i had to wait for over an hour! I was so angry and they seemed to seat the younger people before me even though I got there before them! I was outraged until I was finally seated. My server was a young black man and he more than made up for my wait he suggested I order the BBQ chicken and boy, was he right! It was delicious! Thanks to him, I will probably be going back

We are visiting from out if town, and the I just wanted to commend the hospitality here. The bartender Shea, servers, and especially the manager Doug. They were more than friendly and efficient. The food was great, service with a smile. If I’m ever in town again definitely would be a must stop.

Worst example of customer service ever. Told we had 25 to 35 minute wait and after hour and half still not seated. Used to enjoy the food but not worth the ‘look over” when buddies are seated ahead of folks who have waited Not worth one star but will not allow post without it

Among the chain steakhouses in town (Outback, Longhorn, Logan’s), I would pick Texas Roadhouse easily.
I like the casual, relaxed atmosphere. Service is always good. The food is outstanding. They make almost everything on the menu — including dressings — in house and fresh.
I had the opportunity to chat with Valerie, a supervisor. She told me all about the place. That is someone who is proud of her company. We watched the cooks first season the steaks, then put them on a flat top to sear. Then they are finished on grill to get the markings. No marinating.
The cooks here know how to cook steak and you don’t have to worry about a steak coming out the wrong temperature. Sides are really good. Especially the seasoned rice and the green beans. I looked for a copycat recipe for the rice and made it at home. Pretty good. Just don’t add the amount of cayenne they say. More like ¼ tsp and not 1.5 tsp.
One of my pet peeves is honey butter or cinnamon butter. You get a cup of that with their rolls. I always ask for a cup of real butter, which is brought out promptly.
The peanuts are a nice app before food comes out. Lots of TVs, cold beer. This is one of my favorite places in town.

Went there around 4:30PM Yesterday… early bird special for you snowbirds. Had my one year old grandbaby so as always we get put in a booth in a corner. it was OK. I ordered the 10 oz sirloin with a salad and steak fries. My daughter ordered a sandwich and SILaw had chopped sirloin. baby had Mac and Cheese. We had bread and beers (Draught so +1). We had way more food than we needed but it was all good. I had ordered a medium well steak (some pink) but when it came back it was very well done… Now comes the good part, the waitress came by and said, without any prompting or hints, and said that steak is not right is it? Let me get you another one! Now that is service. I did not want to waste it so I ate it and told her it was OK. The steak is very thin so I imagine it is too hard to cook medium well. ANYWAY. what made this experience enjoyable is the Waitress. she was awesome and would go again just because of the service.
I give it a 4.

I had a bad experience here several years ago.
We decided to try again and this time was great!
our server was awesome.
All of our food came out hot and tasty.

Love Texas roadhouse and we come every time we come to Chattanooga.
Make sure you ask for their military discount.

Love their salads
Salmon was good but a little lemony
Ribs were awesome! !
No reservations but they take call aheads. A must tmuse feature to eat at a reasonable time

If you want consistency with great food and service, Texas Roadhouse is your restaurant. We’ve been going here for years and our food is always great with steaks cooked perfectly every time. The only thing that is annoying is Tyler the bartender. Every time he is there when we are he is very loud and likes to show off. He yells across the restaurant which I think is rude. We try to sit as far away from the bar so we don’t have to hear him. Doesn’t help.

Service started out great. Ordered apps no issues. After apps took 40 additional minutes to get food. My burger came out with a rock hard bun. Server said he would go get another. 8 minutes later I finally got the bun but was already finished with my so called hamburger steak. No condiments with my meal, so made for a disappointing meal.

Absolutely the WOEST Texas roadhouse I’ve ever been to. After being seated we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to even come to our table. We ordered 2 sweet teas, a lime Margarita and a glass of wine. The bar drinks took and extra 20 minutes to arrive at our table. The hubby and I ordered salads, one grilled chicken Caesar and one grilled chicken house, minus cheese. After waiting another 30 minutes our salads finally arrived. My salad was COVERED with cheese. Waitress didn’t care and acted like everything was no big deal. It will be a very long time before I go to Texas roadhouse again, and will NEVER come to this one and I suggest you don’t either.

I get drug against my will to steakhouses that are typically over-​priced and often have very little choices non-​cow/​pork. Last night i was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! There was more to the menu than things that used to moo, crow, or oink! They had SALMON! Yummy salmon cooked to a flaky yet moist goodness!
Our server, Shelley was a sweety-​pie and spoiled us with extra servings of warm rolls and butter! She was super-​efficient as well!

This location serves tasty food consistent with what one expects from this chain. The prices are great and the portions are hearty.
Friday evenings this location is jam-​packed, so use the call-​ahead feature if your party is 6 or less. (Be specific if you don’t all want to sit in a booth if you have six adults!) parties must be completely present before they’ll seat anyone, and groups of 7+ will have a significant wait on Fridays.
Definitely dive in to the appetizers– yes it’s a fried-​fest, but you’re at a roadhouse, and they’ll treat you right.
Service here has regularly been consistent and attentive, and the kids’ menu has plenty to keep the little ones happy and full.

Fresh at this location at least. Amazing food. Great management.

Phoned ahead because we had two babies with us, arrived at promised time (4 adults, kids 3 & 1). Informed us that wait would be 25 – 35 minutes as they didn’t have tables that would accommodate high chairs (as we had requested when we phoned in). I do not see any purpose to the «phone ahead» at all. Here we are trying to keep two kids occupied while there is no place to set. Never again, not the first time we have had problems here.
On a positive note, as usual it is a «power tripping» employee. Another hostess came up and wanted to know why we had been standing there 40 minutes when there were currently 3 tables capable of seating us. We got a waitress named Briranie that was awesome! We had a good dinner after all!

Although they were out of my fave (Prime Rib) the food and service was exceptional. I went with the New York Strip. It was cooked perfectly.
The server Rebekah was training server Rebecca. Both had an awesome personality.

Came here on a week night, the place was packed. Got seated right away, with tasty bread rolls to snack on. Server took a bit to stop by my table, but I think he thought I was waiting for someone else to show up. Nope just me! Got the vegetable plate. Caesar salad was a bit over dressed, baked sweet potato was great, cup of chili was good. Would never order the side of broccoli here again though, it was really bad. Just old, not fresh, no flavor, and all stem. Like seriously 80% of the broccoli was stem. No no no no no. Price was reasonable though. Good, but not impressive, a place for a quick weekday meal for those who travel for business. I’d go back again, just stay the hell away from the broccoli.

My expectations at any chain steakhouse is never high, and Texas Roadhouse never seems to really impress me. Although the 11 oz Sirloin Steak I ordered medium-​rare was cooked great, and I have no complaints about it, the rest of the meal was lacking any hope.
As usual, drinks were ordered and delivered correctly, but as we were sitting at a booth in the bar area to finish watching a football game, the bartender came around the bar to clean up after a bar customer, and literally raked all his peanut shells, napkins, straw paper right into the floor, where it remained our entire visit. Would it not been just as simple to wipe it in his plate, and be done with it, without a huge mess on the floor?
Well, here came the rolls, first we were told by our hostess, we would have rolls as soon as they were ready. No, our serve, asked if we wanted rolls. We said yes, and got the rolls soon after, but the server took off so fast, we never had the chance to ask for small plates. Although the booth near us was already set, and had small plates on it for the next guests.
Then the salads, well, they are made a few hours, perhaps even a day in advance, as the bowl is ice cold. That’s not so bad, but the tomatoes were so soft, almost slimy, and the croutons were real soggy from the condensation.
As I said the steak was cooked as requested, and was very good. I had the steak fries with it, and nothing to brag about either, as they seem to be the standard, frozen steak fries most places serve,
We’ll definitely return there in the future, but I guess I’ll have to ask for a fresh salad or some other side.

I don’t typically go to steakhouse chains, just not my thing. But Texas Roadhouse is freaking awesome. Free peanuts, starters are great, sides are great, steaks are great, service was great, everything was awesome and I will be back next time I’m in town.
