Worst experience ever, waiter got two of our three orders wrong. Manager then brings my replacement meal and it’s wrong. I just kept it and attempted to beatbox but the change chicken was way undercooked. Will not go back…

The ribs where really good, I like dry rub ones the best. And good service, beans where great and corn okay wish it was on cob. Coleslaw was great, I don’t know way the cut the brisket into chunks, they should slice it, looks better, the air is a little to cold and every table was under a vent but it be good it’s hot outside

This is my first negative Unilocal review. Upon enty, we were met with an unpleasant and unclean smell. Few people were there for lunch. We were seated in a reasonable time. Our server was pleasant, prompt and attentive, thus the only reason this reataurant is receiving 2 stars. The food was subpar. The spouse’s sandwich was supposed to have avocado, and it did, but there must have been only one for the whole reataurant. My beer — battered Alaskan pita pocket had a decent flavor, but only had a couple of strands of cabbage and was over-cooked. The fried apples were below average. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

This has been the worst dining experience my family has ever had and we’ve roamed a lot of places. We are traveling to Memphis for our oldest daughter’s spring break(she’s a music major) and she wanted to see Lookout Mountain on the way so we stayed over in Chattanooga. We wanted to end the night with bbq. A light bulb should have went off when we didn’t have to wait to be seated. It was around 9pm and the place was less than half occupied on a Monday all you can eat wing night. Silly me, I thought it was safe because we’ve eaten from this franchise before in South Florida. Our waiter didn’t introduce himself, just took our drink order. After he brought our drinks we waited 10 minutes for him to come back for our food order. Here’s where things got real… they basically had NONE of the bbq meat listed on their menu. My husband wanted the brisket, the waiter left, came back and said they don’t have any. I wanted the quarter chicken(I prefer dark meat). Our waiter asked the passing waitress and yep you guessed it, they didn’t have any. I asked, «what do you have?» His reply, «chicken wings and pork.» I guess to keep you there and make a dollar, the tactic is to give the customer a useless menu, wait for the customer to order drinks, decide on appetizer and then noose the customer. I was ready to pay for our drinks and leave, but it was getting late, we didn’t know the area and were all too tired to search for something else. The youngest got mac & cheese and broccoli and this is how I was able to give one star. Their mac and cheese is delicious! The oldest ordered 1⁄3 ribs slab with broccoli and their dirty rice. The rice was disgusting. Hubby settled for a burger and their loaded fries. He didn’t eat the fries and said they were horrible due to being cold and floating in sweet bbq sauce. He said the burger was just a burger, nothing award winning. And I fell for the trap… I ordered wings(not AUCE) with bbq beans and mashed potatoes. The beans were okay, but the potatoes were not good at all. They were not seasoned, no butter, instant mashed potatoes and some bland gravy. My husband says they were just having an off night or maybe they were out of spices like they were out of beef, turkey and dark meat chicken. That made us all laugh. This business uses the pay at the table method and that’s exactly what my husband did. Once it showed paid with 20% tip our waiter never came back. The pay machine popped a survey, but disappeared before we even started. It was obvious none of the staff cared if we enjoyed our meal or why I only bit off one wing. I was furious with my husband for just paying for all that food we left at our table, then still tipped. As soon as we got back to the hotel I began talking with some of the hotel staff about the experience and got some great suggestions for REAL bbq when we get to Memphis. I got to my room and HAD to write a review because I reviewed a different location in the past and it was great. I found our waiter’s name(Alex A.) from the receipt.

I would have given them 5 stars but the waitress decided she wanted to take an extra tip off my card in addition to the 26% tip I gave her. Kids and I went to lunch and had a great time. Bill totaled 50.00 I paid 64.00(after tip). Instead of charging my card that amount… She decided she wanted an additional $ 12.80 tip. Bringing my credit card charge to 76.80. I called and complained, the manager took my info and never called me back. Headed up there now to get this fixed! This is ridiculous!

Closer to 3. ½ stars. Mostly due that over a year ago they removed most of the TV’s. This is not longer a sports bar BBQ place. Still has a great selection of food, 4 types of BBQ to try along with great wings. I like the traditional smoked wings the best with a dry rub and sweet honey glaze. They have really good bake beans as a great side for your BBQ. They have a very large bar area to sit and watch a game on extremely small TV’s with no sound. Wtf, why??? They do have sound for special games, Vols, Super Bowl. But most of the time your out of luck, vs when they used to have a sound box at your table. I guess my visits here have been cut in half since their changes. Too bad as they were one of my favorites.

Everything I’ve eaten at Smokey Bones has been excellent. You can’t beat 7.49 for a pulled pork potato and a salad. The 1.95PBR certainly helps as well. You have to go weekdays at lunch because Beth is the best bartender I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten here at lunch and had Jan for a server and she is amazing as well. You won’t regret coming here. For a chain BBQ joint, this place is fantastic. Also, they have 2.75 domestic drafts! You can’t beat it. PS: Try the baby back ribs, they’re fantastic!

Now, it is the simple truth: This is what ya call a BBQ restaurant. This has been here as long as I can remember. The manager here says the same thing but if he had to guess probably late 90’s. First of all, I came in as a stranger or new customer. However, I left feeling like a regular here because of the way they took care of me. Why? Read on and you’ll find out. Representation: There’s mostly booths in here, which I like and a there’s even an outside patio with tables and TV“s that make it a plus. There are numerous TVs at the bar and throughout the inside. They also have a speaker system set up to whatever so happens to be the most popular sports on. arrived @ 7:35 pm(familiar with place) ordered @ 7:38 pm(I knew what I wanted) BBQIFOM @ 7:41pm(I kid u not) menu items ordered: bar b q sandwich, corn, baked beans, cole slaw and sweet tea and for desert I had a cold beer. The barbecue sandwich was absolutely delicious. The staff here recommended me using two sauces on my sandwich which were mustard and sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. I asked for cole slaw on the side to put on my BBQ which made it complete. Service: I would like to thank the staff, servers, and especially the manager Will for an undeniably superb and unbelievable friendly fast customer service. Once I ordered, it was delivered«in front of me», thus(IFOM) at the 3 minute mark. How cool is that. I couldn’t believe it. I even had to ask«is that mine? ready already, wow.» Ok. They also kept my sweet tea full at all times. Regrets: Yes, I had the ask myself, now why haven’t I tried this place again since 2001, which was my first visit. I might have asked for some sort of bread as I’m sure they would brought some according others reviews and photos. Parking: You can park along side the restaurant but there is ample parking in the back which is what I recommend when they get busy. In summary, park in the back, just get a BBQ sandwich with corn and baked beans, ask for a side of coleslaw(to put on sandwich). I also would love to have their recipe for their corn. I don’t know what they add to it, but whatever it is, it is good.

We got fried pickles and loaded nachos. Let me begin by saying the loaded nachos were not loaded. The salsa was just canned tomatoes with onion and cilantro, and the queso if you are lucky enough(or should I say unlucky) is canned cheese. Absolutely no flavor. This was the worst place I have eaten at in a very long time. I am leaving here hungry and u satisfied because I could not bring myself to finish eating this«food»

I love Smokey Bones! The food is always delicious and now they have lemonades a with blueberry beads in them. The are awesome, suck them up through the straw and the explode on your mouth. And the best part of Smokey Bones other than the BBQ, huge tvs for sports and great drinks… Wait for it… The bag of donuts which come with strawberry and chocolate dipping sauces!(strawberry is the best!). This is a must visit when you are in Chattanooga! Bonus: our waitress was awesome and fast!

The newspaper keeps putting out these $ 10 off when you spend $ 20 coupons. I save them every time I see them and finally used one last night. It was pretty good. I don’t know if I’d give four stars if I didn’t have that generous coupon. I had the you pick two meats for $ 14.99. I had pulled pork and sliced turkey-both pretty good. The side of fire roasted corn was good and the dirty rice was ok. My wife got the veggie burger and said it was good. It looked like the typical frozen patty you buy at the store though. They stacked it two high since the patties aren’t that big so we both thought that was a nice touch. I’ll continue to pull these coupons out of the paper and will go back as long as I have one.

My family of 6 stayed over in Chattanooga on our way to Florida. We were very hungry after our 10 hour drive. The only issue I had was when we asked the waitress what the Specials were or what she would recommend she gave us nothing, she said she didn’t eat there and she’s heard it’s all good. We ended up getting the ribs, smokey wings and brisket. My eldest so got a burger that was HUGE! Normally he can eat a burger without problem, but he had leftovers. My smokey wings and slow cooked sausage was wonderfully seasoned and hot upon service. My husbands ribs were very meaty and flavored. The brisket was a little dry for our taste. I also ordered a side of spiced apples that were incredible! We definitely would go back!

First off, the atmosphere. The place has a strange log cabin meets O’Charleys feel. Their giant banners with quotes about BBQ and pigs almost seemed to clash with the classy rustic theme they were pushing. Hostess and waitress were fantastic. My waitress was friendly and attentive without being pushy(I’m sorry I can’t remember your name). Food. Ok, heres we’re I get annoyed. We flip through the menu and see that the real entrees are all priced around $ 15. I’ve seen a previous review of the BBQ chicken so thats what I pick up with loaded potatoes and baked beans. My fiancé chooses the fish n chips. When they arrive my heart sinks a little. I had seen previous customers with very large plates so my hopes were going for portion size. I felt betrayed. The sides come in tiny bowls on a very large plate. Disregarding what was actually there, I don’t understand how an owner can think that presentation is a good idea. It makes your portions seem so much smaller. The previous reviewer spoke about getting half a rotisserie chicken. I don’t know if something was going on that day but I received two legs on my plate. From a very small chicken. Thinking back I’m sure this is due in no small part to the fact the waitress asked me If i wanted white or dark meat. I’d have never made the choice had i realize it dictated my portion. The meat itself was… food. It was covered in a strong but thin coat of BBQ sauce that seemed to tear apart like paper. Underneath that the chicken was naked pale and flavorless. The baked beans, as someone previously put, were drowning in brown sugar. It was overwhelming and I couldn’t eat more than a bite at a time. The loaded potatoes were pretty good, but it bears the question«Why must I pay an upcharge for access to the sides that taste ok?» In case you’ve never looked at their menu«Normal Sides“a.k.a boring or bland sides, are $ 2. «Premium Sides» aka equivalent to the normal sides applebys serves, are $ 3. Why not strive to make all of your sides«Premium»? In closing. My fiances fish was delicious. Phenomenal even. The cole-slaw he received as well. Probably the best coleslaw I’ve ever had and I generally HATE cole-slaw. We both finished our meals completely and I still felt a bit hungry. Bill came out to be 23 $ a piece with a cheap beer. Which left me wondering, «Why am I paying nice sit-down restaurant prices for chain restaurant quality.»

This location has some excellent BBQ. Plenty of parking is available in site. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available, and they stay open quite late. The smoked wings are excellent(hopefully they’ll allow the wings to be tossed in sauce before being grilled in the future — why they stopped this practice j don’t know). Entrees are filling, and you’re likely to have some leftovers. The brown sugar rub on either cut of the ribs is spectacular. The food here is usually well prepared, and fall-off-the-bone tender. As with other local BBQ restaurants, the sauce variety will keep your whole party happy. There are several yummy options for sides as well, though the meats are the chain’s strong suit. Fair warning– parties of more than four adults(or four adults plus kids especially) may find seating challenging. The kids’ menu has plenty of options and is also entertaining.

I was elated to see Smokey Bones. My daughter and I would eat at the one in Springfield, MO at least one a week until they shut down. We were so devastated, when my husband & moved to Lake Mary, FL we found one down their & enjoyed until we moved away. They always have great food & fast friendly service. I would highly recommended.

We decided to stop in for dinner since we haven’t been to this location and we wanted to eat. The atmosphere is a mix of sports bar, Applebee’s, and mountain cabin. We visited around 8PM and we were seated right away which was nice. The hostess was plant and helpful although she did linger around our table while our waiter was taking to us, rude. The waiter, Blake, was great. He was very fun, helpful, good attitude and made the experience positive. He recommended the wings and they were great. I’m sure we’ll eat here again sometime.
