Absolutely delicious breakfast! I had the french toast with an egg and bacon. My daughter had a ham and cheese omelette. Everything was cooked perfectly. My only critique is that the dining area is very small and they don’t have any tables for 2. They have a few large round tables. It would make more sense to get rid of those and replace them with smaller tables. Then when bigger parties come in, they can push the smaller tables together. We shared our table with 2 strangers which worked for us, but we saw many others at larger tables with open seats while the line was out the door and down the sidewalk. Go early if you don’t want to have to wait in line.

Cold pancakes. Sausage patties not edible. They only serve you a can of Coke when you order rather than the typical restaurant that would allow for refills. This always bugs me!

Our waiter was really great, friendly, and helpful with the menu. I don’t recommend the shrimp and grits, but do highly recommend the shrimp tacos!

Very delicious & fresh breakfast. A little confusion with seating arrangements but worth the meal for something fresh & a different Mediterranean mix.

The omelets are fantastic! The Joan Marie especially is a favorite of mine! Home fries are epic also. Must try for Chattanooga breakfast!

Yummy! The specials are as good as they sound. The family who runs this restaurant really care about making their customers happy. Try the giant cinnamon rolls! So good!

This place is sooo good. The menu has options for everyone, including vegetarian and vegan(remove cheese). The service is super friendly and fast. The biscuits are big and fluffy. And the food is just awesome. I had tofu hash and highly recommended it, if you don’t like tofu try this. They season the tofu so it’s perfect and flavorful.

The food is amazing. The service is even better. I wished there were enough seats for a party of 6, but I feel that would mess up the vibe of the restaurant. As I sat and dined on a sausage omelette with cheddar cheese, black olives, peppers, tomatoes and a side of potatoes and white toast, I could hear the server behind the counter talk to one of the regulars. There was another couple at the next table who were also regulars. I could tell because as soon as they sat down, the server simply nodded and began bringing their regular drink. If my schedule allowed, I could see myself stopping in here everyday for breakfast to start my day. The omelette was cooked to perfection. The«stuffing» was spread throughout the omelette, unlike most omelettes that have the meat on one side and everything else just as unbalanced. The potatoes tasted as if they had just peeled and cut up a fresh potato and didn’t start cooking until my order was placed, yet the time to bring me the food was quick. I have time tomorrow and definitely plan on going in for breakfast for the 2nd day in a row. If you have time to wait, you will not be disappointed!

Food was amazing! Got the black bean burrito and fruit. Both were very good! Would come back here again when in town. Got here close to 9:30 on a Thursday and the line got long after we sat down.

We have been wanting to try Bluegrass Grill for a while and finally got the chance on a Saturday morning. We arrived around 9-ish and the first thing we noticed is that there is no hostess. You just sort of que up at the door and wait for the next available clean table. There were only two groups before us and the wait was only about 5 or 10 minutes, however by the time we left, the line was out the door. The Bluegrass Grill is only open for breakfast and lunch, we were there for breakfast, though the quiche of the day did sound wonderful, we stayed with a basic breakfast. We both ordered our basic breakfast, two eggs over light, bacon, grits and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the white toast was nice and chewy. The grits were light and fluffy and some of the best I’ve ever eaten. I didn’t add any butter or even salt or pepper, they were that good. The show stealer though was the jalapeño bacon. So good! I already want to go back to have it again. ‘ My husband ordered the same thing I did only he got a biscuit instead of toast. He was extremely pleased with his whole grain biscuit. He also loved the jalapeño bacon, the grits, and his eggs. Even though it was crowded, our service was excellent. Our coffee was kept full, our waitress checked on us several times. Overall, we were extremely pleased. I saw a table next to me having an omelet that looked amazing, stringy cheese hanging from his fork with every bite! That is definitely next on my list.

Ooooooooh yeah. That’s the stuff. I popped in this morning around 8:00 am to grab a sandwich before my flight. NOTE — the Chattanooga Airport has very limited food options, mostly vending, although the staff are very sweet. Bring your own snacks — and sit at the snack bar to charge your phone. The staff at Bluegrass were very friendly and efficient, and they had a sandwich order out in 10 minutes. I was afraid they may not have sandwich stuff ready in the a.m. I couldn’t wait for my lunch, and I started to devour the turkey double decker as soon as I checked in. YUUUUUUUM! Everything is so fresh. The homemade 5 grain bread is delicious. The bacon is CRISP! The potato salad is perfect — with a hint of mustard even. I’m truly impressed and grateful that the timing worked out for me to stop in for an order. This place is a gourmet farm-to-table experience at greasy spoon pricing. Perfect.

Great food at a great price. Nothing out of the norm, but good quality food. Very small but I am sure the line is worth the wait. I dont give many 5 star reviews but this place was great. Every bite was good and the price is perfect. If you are local make a regular trip and if you are from out of town it is perfect for you or the family. I recommend the French Toast, very good.

Love this place and the service is wonderful! Yes, if you go during regular breakfast hours you will have to wait. Its NOT fair to give 3 stars because of the wait if the service is excellent. Family run business and it has a very warm feel to the place. Food is top notch. If you look, even the drinks are good brands and they do not cut corners anywhere which translates to wonderful quality/taste. And yes, you can taste the difference! Everything is good, but definitely get the Jalapeño bacon!

So when we got to the place, there was a line. That’s a good sign when you’re talking about breakfast. We waited for about 20 minutes before grabbing a seat. Not too bad, we were ok with waiting. The servers didn’t appear to be slacking at all, it was just packed. Bluegrass had a country, southern kitchen vibe to the décor. Which I loved. They have mismatched coffee mugs which add to the home vibe. Our waitress was super nice and attentive even though they had a line out the door. I ordered coffee of course and the veggie omelet sub egg whites with no olives. I had grits and home fries for my side items then decided to add wheat toast. The food came out in about 10 minutes which was fast considering the crowd. I ate my food like a wild person. Everything was sooooo good. Soooooo yummy. The omelet was perfect, couldn’t have done it better myself. The home fries were crisp and the grits were hot and creamy. I will be back… any time I come to Chattanooga. To put the icing on the cake, turns out its a family run business and their first restaurant was Brother Juniper’s in Memphis, TN. Which i absolutely loved while I was in college. Amazing experience. Now off to Ruby Falls!

Honestly, I don’t go to this place enough considering the fact that I live 9 minutes away and work 3 minutes away. Family run, super nice, very fast, and creative yet simple recipes. Last time I was in I sat at the bar and a member of the family was my server. THAT is awesome. Time before that was a girl named Taylor. Attentive, fast, and got our order out quickly and perfectly even though it was crazy busy. Love this place. You have to check it out. And get the biscuits. Did you read this after you ordered? Order the biscuits to go. I’m serious.

Oh man I am so stuffed! The hickory smoked Cajun turkey and cranberries and goat cheese in a quiche, is not a combination that I would have ever thought to put together. Let me tell you though it really works! The twang from the goat cheese is just phenomenal with the sweetness of the cranberries and spicy Cajun turkey! No to mention its a really cool place, very laid back and comfy. Come by and see Greg and his family for good coffee and great breakfast

It took me a while to actually write my review because I very rarely give five stars. So after my third visit here it was time to bite the bullet. We showed up at 9:00AM with one family in line before us. No long wait even when I said«Seven adults and three children» They did not even bat an eye. The four top tables have flip out edges to make them round and we easily fit nine chairs around one. Place was packed as usual but service is so friendly and these folks hustle. You are not going to get in and out of here quickly as everything is cooked to order and worth the wait. The homemade biscuits are… wait, let me do this right. My first time here I took my son’s advice and ordered the corned beef hash. AMAZING. It just cannot get better than this. Perfectly poached eggs and the hash was fresh and incredibly good. The homemade biscuits are so fluffy and the best I have ever had that my grandmother did not make OK, I will say it, better than grandmas. My second visit I could not help myself and ordered the corned beef hash again(they have three other hash varieties but I am a man of habit.) Today I ordered the biscuits and gravy with sausage. Best gravy ever with large chunks of excellent sausage. Let me repeat that the gravy is the best I have ever had. When you put that goodness all over THESE biscuits something magical happens. You know what is wrong with the Bluegrass Grill? They are closed on Mondays. …Hey sweetheart… are you going to eat that biscuit???

Cute little place that looks family owned and run. Yes it is father n son cooking and sis doing the serving. She is so cute and spunky. Bouncing around from table to table always with a smile. Now the food was really good. I had the chicken sausage with asiago cheese and spinach quiche. All with 4 cheese grits and fresh ripe fruit. The whole place has a real homey feel. You really do feel like family when you are here. I will return every morning I’m here in town. This place is a bright shining light of my morning. Oh yea they have really good coffee too.
