DON’T RENTFROMTHISLOCATION! The worst experience ever and I had rented there for over 8 years. They can charge you whatever they feel like(even if it doesn’t match the contract you went in and signed). Once they have your credit card they can charge you whatever they want THEYWILL — they did it to me. They don’t even call you or ask you they just charge your credit card. Stay away from AHMEDBITAR. He incorrectly charged me for gas, mileage and environmental fees. If he had just called me or emailed me before he used my credit card. I ended up with 4 different debits and credits on my card. I spoke to the corporate office first(Katie). She was extremely professional and knew exactly how they had charged me incorrectly. She contacted the CHATSWORTH, CA office and explained what they had done. I received a call from AHMEDBITAR and he had already reversed the charges and re-charged me — INCORRECTLY. This went on numerous times. I couldn’t stop him from using my credit card. He was incredibly rude and condescending and got worse after he realized he mistakes. Also, I sent an email to the corporate headquarters immediately after the incident. Uhaul corporation never responded or contacted me. I guess this company doesn’t need the consumers business. And this all started because they had incorrectly put the wrong fuel level on my contract and the uHaual employee never went back inside to correct it(LIKEHESAIDHEWOULD). Renter beware if your fuel level upon picking the truck says one thing and your contract says another rip up the contract and go get a new one from inside before you leave. And I had asked for this and they blew me off.

If I could give this Uhaul location negative 5 stars, I would. It almost hurt to have to give them 1 star just to write the review. DONOTRENTFROMTHISLOCATION!!! I have no problems with Uhaul as a corporation, just this franchise location, and I say that because I’ve been on the phone with Uhaul conflict resolution for the past 2 days. I rented a truck to move from Woodland Hills to North Hollywood, pretty routine rental. I paid with my credit card when I picked it up and was told that it was an estimate(because mileage could be estimated but until I returned the truck they wouldn’t know the actual mileage) which is fine. I’ve rented trucks before, I get how it works. I asked the guy helping me if I personally needed to turn in the truck and he said no. They have my card on file so they wouldn’t need me. Next day, I went in because my friend left the Dolly we rented at my house and I returned it first thing in the morning.(the truck wasn’t due back until the morning, so we actually turned it in early, just turned the dolly in the next day). The guy that helped me when I came in was really really rude. He asked me if I paid my phone bill because he had tried to call me last night about the dolly and he got a weird message. How fucking rude! I told him that he must have dialed the wrong number because my phone works just fine and I was receiving calls last night and this morning. I told him that I hadn’t returned it late because I rented all of the equipment for 24 hours. He actually agreed when I said that, he said they just were worried about the dolly. Fine. Then he told me I owed $ 30 for a late payment. At first it was just labeled«service fee» then when I asked, they guy said«oh, that’s a late fee“Uh WHAT! I paid when I picked it up and they have my CC on file. How could I possibly owe late payment??? They guy helping had no clue why and couldn’t answer me. I told him to have the owner, who placed the charges on my bill to call me so we could resolve it. I told them I would dispute the charges if they charged my CC. I NEVER heard from the owner. I tried to call him 3 times and then yesterday they charged me $ 45.25. What the hell! So now I have to waste my time fixing this. I tried to call them again but of course no answers, no call back, nothing. So I called Uhaul’s conflict resolution before I go through the process with my bank to see if they can reverse the charges. The women on the phone was super nice(this is Uhaul corporate, not the franchise location) and even she couldn’t understand why they would charge me for this. She actual said«I can’t believe he’s trying to take advantage of you like this». Uhaul is going to resolve this but it has taken extra time on the with customer service, not my idea of fun. Also, it isn’t quite resolved yet and I know it will take a bit longer to actually get my $$ back. GOTO A DIFFERENTLOCATION. TRUSTME!!!

The uhaul service here was fair and fast. I needed a 14″ truck, and got an easy to use when I needed it. Much to my surprise the person managing the shop when I returned the truck was knowledgable enough to correct a computer error and save me my $ 75 hold. My only gripe was the extremely board young man that helped me at pickup. He wasn’t very vocal even though I had a number of questions. He seemed to be more concerned with keeping his smart phone close by to blasting heavy metal tunes. None of which did much to help the flow of the conversation. The Uhaul in chatsworth has become very push button, and efficient while maintaining the human element that makes moving a more positive experience.
