They keep a cooked cheese pizza out so when you order toppings they throw them on top and barely warm it up. I got raw onions and uncooked sausage that all fell off when I tried to eat it. It was really expensive too. $ 5.40 for 216oz Cokes. The waitress forgot our order so we got it cold and she was unapologetic about it. In fact the locals at the bar taking up all her time, cursed at me and my daughter on the way out. People of Chatham you are being ripped off! They are seriously overcharging you for bad food and service. Don’t go.

We were in town to go to the theatre and the café we had eaten at before was closed. We needed a quick bite to eat and located this place in a strip mall. We had no high expectations. There was an outside patio decorated with hanging planters that made the entrance appear inviting. Inside the décor was plain and rather dark, but a bright spot was the display of album covers on the walls, a nice conversation piece. Plenty of tables and booths and many customers were picking up take out orders. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, a chicken quesadilla and a steak quesadilla and we all agreed that the food was well above average. My crab cake was especially good. Server was attentive and as we left the owner(I assume) thanked us for coming. If ambience is not a high priority I would strongly recommend

Thoroughly mediocre. I’ve never had anything terrible here, but I’ve also never had anything great. The pizza is inconsistent and almost always too doughy. Friendly staff, though.

Lagonia’s Pizza and Café is one of my favorite restaurants! With delicious Italian meals that you won’t find anywhere else! Every time I try something on the menu it becomes my new favorite. I am completely addicted to their Chicken Georgio pasta dish, I crave it’s unique one-of-a kind taste. I live pretty far away from Lagonia’s and whenever I am near Chatham New York, I always have to stop. Lagonia’s Pizza and Café is a special little place with great food and a warm happy atmosphere.

Some of the best Italian entrée’s I have had. Original and tasty… However, the service is the worst I have EVER encountered. As a former restaurant owner, I can’t say enough about the lack of quality in the service. Our grand daughter was part of the cast of a production at Mac Hayden and she and some of her friends and the parents came to Lagonia’s during the dinner break on Thursday. Our group were the only diners in the place and it took forever to get food. Several of the kids chicken dishes were so overdone they couldn’t eat them. We thought, just a bad night, let’s try it again. so we did on Sunday… even worse. Plenty of staff on, but they did not know who was on first. We were a party of 3. First thing to the table was my husband’s entrée. Several minutes later our app came. 15 or so minutes later my entrée came. 15 minutes after that, the 3rd entrée was served. and as we were finishing our entrees 3 Caesar salads arrived. Really? I’m not even going into the fact that we got the wrong app. When my husband tried to talk to the manager, he was defensive and rude. That is no way to run a business. Yes, Chatham is a small town with not too many choices for dinner. But i can tell you, we won’t be back.

Food is pretty good but the service is incredibly slow. In thirty five minutes we were asked if we wanted to order drinks so we put in our food order at the same time. There are three tables taken. Forty minutes for our salads to come out. We had to go up to the bar to order a second drink. Entrée came out five minutes after the salads.

Great casual Italian food, perfect for families and folks looking for zesty food in large portions. My chicken parmigiana was excellent, with a very tender cutlet and nicely-seasoned tomato sauce.

I ordered takeout from Lagonia’s on a recent visit to Chatham. I was reluctant at first to eat here after seeing the low star reviews of its predecessor La Bella. I decided to give Lagonia’s a shot, since I read the menu of their FB page beforehand and liked what I saw. Located in the Chatham Plaza next to Price Chopper, Lagonia’s Pizza & Café(formerly La Bella Pizza & Pasta) serves up Italian American fare including thin crust wood fired brick oven pizzas(by the slice or pie 14″-16″-18″), calzones, subs, grilled sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, pasta dishes, chicken dishes, appetizers, and homemade desserts. Specials are offered here too such as All You Can Eat Pizza & Wings for $ 10.95 on Monday nights. The prices here seem fair, sandwiches, subs & burgers(with homemade curly fries & pickle) $ 7.50-$ 9.95, lunch pastas $ 9.95 and most dinner entrees(with salad) $ 12.50-$ 16.95, the Zuppa di Pesce is $ 24.95. A 14″ cheese pizza starts at $ 10.50. The atmosphere inside is very inviting and casual. The full service dining room/bar is nicely decorated. The wall lined with old record albums and small antiques on small shelves mounted on the wall and big mirrors on one end of the dining room. The opposite section of the dining room is dedicated to the Chatham Panthers(colorful team sports pictures & memorabilia on the walls), bringing a sense of community feel to this restaurant. There is also a big flatscreen TV at the bar. Outside covered patio seating in front is offered during the warmer months. I arrived here around 3:55PM on a quiet Sunday and was deciding whether or not to order the Eggplant Parmigiana off the lunch menu($ 9.95) or off the dinner menu($ 12.95). Lunch ends at 4PM. I eventually decided to order the Eggplant Parmigiana Dinner with Linguine($ 12.95 plus tax) since it included a garden salad. While waiting for my order, which took about 20 minutes, I took advantage of the free wifi in the restaurant. As for the food, the Eggplant Parmigiana was a slightly modest portion, which had three breaded eggplant slices stacked and topped with melted mozzarella cheese and served over a bed of linguine and a thick marinara sauce. The food tasted pretty good, the thick marinara sauce had a slight sweet taste, the linguine was cooked perfectly, though the thin eggplant slices had a bit much breading on the outside. The small garden salad had mainly fresh romaine lettuce with a half tomato slice, black olives, onion, and topped with shredded mozzarella cheese, dressing on the side. Overall, I’d give my meal 3.5 stars, but rounding up since I like the interesting décor on the walls and the wifi was very good. FACEBOOK:
