Four stars… not two or three… not five! The staff are rather charming… not all of them… not all of the time. My girl friend and I come here occasionally for breakfast food… only breakfast! It is a standard«American fare» establishment, and I mostly don’t care for American cooking, so I can’t, and won’t, speak for anything other than the breakfast food that we have had, so far. Since my GF likes to go out for breakfast on the weekends, and she likes«American» breakfasts, we have come to enjoy our occasional visits here. It’s a rather fun experience for us, though, arguably, most of the fun is because we’re together. The food is pretty good, not greasy, as some breakfast places can be. The atmosphere is pleasant. We like it, and will continue our occasional visits.

Great place so far. This was our first venture here. The place is clean and cute. The biscuits were soft and flakey the eggs were fluffy the hash browns crispy. My Sweeties veggie omelette was a teensy bit dry. They had flavored creams on the table for coffee(nice touch). Total bill was 21 for my scrambled eggs hash browns biscuits gravey and his omelette and pancakes. We also had coffees. Based on today, we will most likely be back.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. They are usually busy, but it is rarely so busy that I have to wait at the door for a seat. I end up with Adrianna as my server very often. It is always a pleasure. Last Sunday after church, I opted to stop by for a hearty breakfast. I asked Adrianna about one of their International Summer foods. She suggested their Patriotic Pancakes and they were fantastic! I have never had bad service there, and I highly recommend them as a steady and reliable restaurant with great food and good prices.

So I’ve been running around with my family for a while and we decided to stop here… Twice. So let’s see how I’ve felt about those stops. It was Very busy this morning, with a lot of Church folks were enjoying a good brunch, my mom just had hash browns while dad had hash browns, eggs over-easy, bacon, and toast with a coffee, i just had water because I ate earlier. Though I tried a bite of my moms hash browns, they were seasoned very well and it was crispy, but not burnt. And the server in the morning was pretty good for it being busy, making sure everyone is happy with their meal, and leave with a smile. And speaking of a smile, I liked how very clean and organized it was despite on how busy it was. I left with a smile. I then return at night with my family for some dinner. Me & mom got a Philly cheese steak sub & Fries, which was scrumptious! And dad had a Gyro with onion rings, he also enjoyed his meal, it was a lot quieter than this morning, almost dead, but service was still great and just still wows me every time I come to this restaurant, you’ll never get old of the Great Lakes, and I, once again, left with a great smile.

THEPOSITIVE: The waitresses are friendly, and the restaurant has large windows that let the light in. THENEGATIVE: For the quality of food they serve, their prices are WAY, WAY too high. Their prices compete with more upscale, trendy restaurant on the west side, but the quality and portions just don’t justify it. I’ve gotten carry out from this place twice, and when I got it home, I couldn’t believe it. The portion was fit for a 5 year old, but the price was high. Sometimes the food is good there, but sometimes it’s not(Cold sunny side up eggs, fried food that shimmers with grease, and they charge extra for every little thing).

Headed out to breakfast at Ram’s Horn with my kiddos and found Great Lakes Family Dining instead! Good breakfast, yummy Biscuits & Gravy-biscuits hot & fresh, gravy flavorful, although I still love Ram’s Horn on Utica in Fraser; they have the little touches that mean so much!

Absolutely love the breakfast here. Pancakes are great… Taste just like the Original House of Pancakes! I have been here a few times and always had great food and great service! I tell everyone to eat here!

Love their breakfast! Perfectly cooked eggs and hash browns — and biscuits and gravy to die for. Finally found a place that makes perfect, flaky biscuits. Restaurant was clean and the service was good. My coffee cup was never empty. The prices are very reasonable. Three people, three huge breakfasts for less than $ 30, including beverages. Only complaint was the limp, greasy, small pieces of bacon, and toast that was more soggy than toasty. Looking forward to trying this place for dinner, though.

I come here with my parents often. It’s an old Ram’s Horn — the owners were tired of paying the franchise fees for mediocre food. I agree. They how have a great menu with locally sources foods(when they can). It’s family owned and they know my parents by name. Great family diner.
