This store carries ‘day old’ breads, cookies, buns, potato chips, pies, coffee cakes, etc.
The deep discounted prices attract me to this location. So it’s day old — if I would have bought it yesterday in a regular supermarket, it would be day-​old today sitting at home. Besides, cookies and fruit pies don’t last long enough in my possession for me to have to worry about freshness.
The physical location of this store, on a curve of the busy Groesbeck Highway, will test the patience of many customers. A little wait time, and the traffic lights on either side, provide the safe journey for a thrifty shopper.
