Oasis Day Spa and Body Shop

I have been getting waxes for awhile now and this spa is hands down the best for your money! It was virtually painless (as far as a wax goes) and the technician was professional, clean, and super friendly. I would suggest this spa to anyone who has never waxed before and is nervous about it or someone who couldn’t imagine missing an appointment.

I have been going to Oasis for years and every time I feel so looked-​after and attended-​to. Kore is a fantastic businessperson and her staff are all so professional and well trained. There’s a reason this place gets voted the Best of Cville so often!

I had a gift certificate here for a pedicure and was excited to check out this spa. It was simple to book an appointment over the phone just a few days in advance. It’s great that they have some later evening hours. The spa is really nice and conveniently located on the downtown mall. The pedicure area is really nice and unique instead of sterile with those massage chairs. Everyone was really friendly and the service was spot on. This is definitely a place to visit in the area for a special spa treat.

I had a purity facial with Sara and it was the best facial I have ever had! Thank you so very much.

I have been to Oasis a few times for waxing. Kimber and Sarah have always been so welcoming and friendly. They put me at ease and really make the experience a pleasant one. I wont go anywhere else.

My review is for a prenatal massage I received at Oasis. The facility itself is nice enough – nothing special, nothing poor – but my massage was not what I had hoped for. The masseuse was talkative from the very beginning of the massage and told me far too much info about her personal life. I really didn’t need to know that she is going through menopause and, therefore, has «some hormonal symptoms in common with a pregnant woman like you.» Sigh. (Why do people feel the need to say such weird things when you’re pregnant? I am still a human being, afterall.) I had hoped for a quiet, relaxing experience but she was far too chatty, even when I closed my eyes and stopped responding. The worst part was that when she was talking, she would hardly massage my body – isn’t that what I was paying for? What does a pregnant woman have to do to get some relaxation? Lastly, other spas I’ve been to have been much quieter. Here, I could hear the receptionist laughing and talking on the phone throughout my massage. It would have been nice to have been in a quieter environment or for the spa to have a white noise machine that covered up some of the noise from the lobby. Overall, this massage just didn’t live up to my hopes and I would go somewhere else next time.

I received what is hands down the best waxing ever. I’ve been a lifelong eyebrow waxer and I am very picky, but they did an impeccable job. Sara is excellent. She takes her time, is friendly, and manages to somehow make it nearly painless. She is very skilled at her craft! There are two Sara’s there apparently, so ask for Sara B.
Great atmosphere, upscale without the snobiness of an upscale place. Slightly pricey, but worth every penny. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve only come here for eyebrow waxes, so this review will speak to that. I am always hesitant to try out new places, especially when it comes to waxing. I’ve seen three different people here, and they’ve all done a great job. They understand when I tell them not to make my eyebrows look like thin lines, they take their time, and they know what they are doing. Great place to go!

I love this place! I have gotten manicures and pedicures so far and Tanya does great work. I am not usually a manicure person because it chips so quickly but mine held up for about 4 – 5 days without wear and tear. The 2^nd manicure I put Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails top coat on (per Tanya’s recommendations) and fared even better.
The spa is not the cheapest but I will pay for quality work and a clean environment.

I saw Sara at this spa after a recommendation from another beautician and Sara was great. Maybe the best in Charlottesville. She does a lot of stuff, facial, wax, etc., so you can’t go wrong.

This is one of my favorite spa salons in Charlottesville. The salon has a friendly, professional, and relaxed atmosphere. I recently moved into town from a large metropolitan city, and Oasis Day Spa is comparable to some of the top salons in the city. Sara is awesome with facials and waxing (I haven’t tried her other services), and she is awesome at keeping you feeling comfortable and entertained with her conversations. The massages are lovely too, and the therapist pays attention and adjusts to your needs if necessary. I usually leave feeling relaxed and satisfied with my services. The prices are quite reasonable too.

Easily the best massage I’ve ever gotten. The massage therapist worked on my problem areas, esp since I was going to have to endure a 17hr flight home the next day. The salon was clean, brightly lit, warm and inviting on that chilly winter day. If I’m ever back there, I’m definitely making a stop!

I went for a waxing and had Sara. She was great. Efficient, friendly, and we had a great conversation. Definitely would recommend.

Sara’s facial is out of this world. It is very relaxing and productive.

I really enjoy this Spa and their diverse services which are all well executed. I’ve had several waxing sessions (bikini/​brow) with both Kimber and Sara, ans both are excellent. I had a lovely manicure by Brandy (i think), and a great massage. The service is very friendly, the atmosphere sophisticated in a down to earth way, and the treatment areas spacious and private. I find the prices to be very reasonable. I’d recommend it to everyone.
