Campus Cookies

This place opened during my last year of living in Charlottesville, and I miss it dearly. What a perfect, perfect concept!
When I get home after a long day of work and I want something sweet, the last thing I want to do is bake an entire batch of cookies. That’s just way too many cookies and I usually only have the ingredients for one type of cookie. On the other hand, I don’t want to go out and buy cookies from a grocery store because odds are they’re not going to be fresh AND warm AND chewy. Campus Cookies is the perfect solution — you get all three things at once!
I like being able to pick and choose from a large selection of cookies. The mint chocolate and the red velvet cookies are my favorite. The red velvet cookie is amazing fresh out of the oven, with the warm, gooey cream cheese oozing out. Gah… again, perfection. I also like that I can order as few as two or three cookies — that’s often all I need to satisfy my sweet tooth. Maybe I’m just being nostalgic for Charlottesville, but Campus Cookies came to be a big part of the experience, and I wish they would expand to the DC area!

Best cookies in Charlottesville, easily. Order out or walk right into their new shop on the Corner. Wide selection. Will return soon!

Campus cookies is for when everything else is closed. Great hours, decent cookies when eaten warm, although also expensive.
