Radio Shack used to have a reputation for pushy salespeople but with increased competition, they’ve calmed down a bit and are actually very helpful. The focus of Radio Shack has changed with the times. There’s not so much in electronic devices here anymore but the primary focus is on cell phones, batteries and electronic cables and related items. In the past I’ve bought a GPS here which was a decent price but some prices are ridiculous. Even for the batteries that I went in for. I paid $ 12 for 21632 lithium electronics batteries of an unknown name. Checking online at Amazon, I could have bought a 5-pack of Energizers for $ 8. WTF Radio Shack? Next time I’ll know better and like Bruce, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Dear Radio Shack: Thanks so much for the super high price. I truly feel ripped off. $ 15 for a three foot long network cable is unreasonable. It is extortionate. It is absurd. What irritates me is that I went to your website and checked prices before heading to the shop. I was expecting to pay $ 7 for a ten foot long cable. If I had known that you were going to hold me up for twice the money to get one third the product, I would have gone elsewhere. But when I’ve gone to the trouble of driving there, parking my car and entering the shop, it is no longer worth my trouble to seek an alternative. You have lost a customer. I’ll buy my electronics and accessories online next time. On the plus side, the associate working in the shop was very pleasant and told me that the online prices are not the same as in the stores.
