Do not go here unless you want to be disrespected and swindled. I have bought two vacuums from them years ago. Took one in for servicing. The guy working looked at it and said it’ll probably cost $ 150 to fix. I asked him to call me with an estimate, otherwise I may just invest in a new one. Three days later I hadn’t heard back, so I called back. Tony proceeded to argue with me, put me on hold four or five times and then in the end hang up on me. He said that it would take a week to determine what was wrong. I explained this is my only vacuum and he interrupted me(yet again) and said most people only have one. I asked for his manager’s name and number and he had to look up her last name and phone number. Denise the manager was apologetic when I called but she asked for me to email her and gave me a yahoo account, which makes no sense. I ended up taking my vacuum to a Aerus Electrolux on South Blvd and it cost $ 25 to fix and the guys there are respectful and fantastic. Will buy from them the next time around!

I had a better customer experience in the Northlake Store, nearer to my residence, which is now closed. After many nights searching for a hard floor scrubber, I patronized the Arboretum store Oreck Store. Let me first say, my first experience in that store was great. But, I was sold their scrubber by the District Manager who made it more personable. Having physical problems, I struggled with the scrubber trying to clean tile with the additional products I had to purchase to make it work. Bottom line, I had to get on all fours and scrub the Old-Fashioned way. Also, their dry carpet product and soil release aggravated my asthma and caused severe contact dermatitis. My skin burned and my eyes bubbled. I wore protected eyewear and rubber gloves. I looked horrible when I returned the item and also wasn’t received well because of the return. The clerk stated, that I could not return the used carpet cleaning products. His example, «You can’t take back an open carton of Milk?!». I begged to differ and stated«Yes You Can?!» Most importantly, I was well within the 30days to try it out and return equipment that did not do what it stated. To make matters worse, the clerk made me feel obligated to keep an item I was severely allergic to. When I originally purchased the items, I was told their products were safe. The clerk did telephone his manager who I heard on the phone, it can be returned. Little did they know how I was being treated. After I spoke to him about the condescending manner of his tone, he corrected himself. I will wait until another store is opened or purchase my other Oreck accessories elsewhere.

Make sure you ask about their return policy before making a purchase. I made a return and they could not credit my debit card so I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for my $ 450 check. I now have to wait weeks before I can buy a new vacuum for my mom’s birthday. It would have been nice if the salesperson had informed me of their return policy.

Being in sales myself, I have a great deal of appreciation for honest sales people and these guys are honest. I own a 10 year old Oreck and as apart of buying one, it can be serviced for no charge. Recently, they performed my service the same day I dropped it off. It was in around 10am and it was out at 4pm which is great, being a dog owner with a dog that decided to start shedding again today. Most recently though, I purchased a cheap portable canister vac from a big box for smaller jobs and I got what I paid for. The vacuum sucked but that’s about it. The guys at Oreck told me to bring by wand by and they’d fit it with a air-driven head to see if that’d do the trick. I did and while I was there, they also fitted it with an extension to make it more comfortable to use. The guy said if it didn’t work, to bring it back and I could try something else. It worked! I have a dumpster load of dog hair that otherwise would have remained in the carpet. Some places would have written it off as a bad idea and insisted that I upgrade. These guys didn’t. That’s a five star experience for sure!
