My husband and I found out at the beginning of December we were going to have to move to Little Rock, AR with his new job. We have lived in the Charlotte, NC area for almost 10 years of our being together and married. Over the past 6 years we have added to our collection of antiques many beautiful pieces and things that are one of kind and hard to find. When it came time to figure out how I was going to pack these odd shaped and valuable items I had NOIDEA where to begin. I knew I could not do it and therefore spent a few days laying some tracks with some connections here in town that I buy a lot of my antiques from. A dear friend with Montiques here in town suggested NAVIS. She had heard rave reviews about the wonderful job that they do and that even her UPS store on Lake Norman had referred her to them. So that is where I started and that is where I ended. Let me start off by saying that the kind lady Karen that answered the phone that day was so laid back and just did not seem to be at all rattled by my call of desperation. She felt sure they could help me and within 3 hours her husband Mike was standing at my doorstep with his notepad to view our madness! Mike and Karen Coffey are some of the most kindest, humblest and hardest working people I have ever met. Mike came in, went from room to room, wrote everything down and spent a good bit of time talking about how things would be packed and about how long it would take. His original thought was 4 – 5 days with 3 people and it was as he stated a big job but one that they could handle. He never batted an eye that it was an issue. He even came back once I hired a moving company from Virginia who had moved me 4 other times in the past and met with them and they together went over who would do what. Again Mike took all of the HARD to do items and the movers the basic other items to pack. Mike and his team from Navis planned to come in for 3 – 5 days and stage my garage as their packing facility instead of taking my items back to their home office and doing them there like most clients. I was more comfortable with that type of situation and they went out of their way to do anything and everything they could to make it more comfortable for me. They came 2 weeks before my move was planned so their job would be finished and therefore not be in the movers way of their own packing and loading. Karen, Mike and Chris would show up each day by 9:00am and work straight through till 7:00pm with only a small break to eat a bite of lunch! They would not hardly even stop! I would beg them to come inside and sit down but they stated they were fine standing and hanging in the garage. Now it was chilly out there even with my space heater! I have never seen 3 people work so hard. They know what they are doing and they do it very well! Their TEAM effort was remarkable! In the end the job was completed in 3 days total! I could not believe it! It is only because they worked so hard and did not stop! Each box was properly hand made to size, packed to specification of enclosed item and stapled, strapped or banded and then labeled. I even made photos of each item so they could tape a picture on each box so we might know what was in it. They also made two wonderful wooden crates for my marble top tables. Everything was done to perfection!!! Our move takes place Jan. 29 – 30. As for now all the items will be loaded onto my movers trucks and we will find out on the other end how things travel the 14 hour drive on 77 north to 40 west to Little Rock drive. I look forward to the follow up review but for now things look great! I would certainly recommend this packing company to anyone out there looking for professional packers for your valuable, odd shaped items. Everyone that has come into our home and seen the packaging has stated they can’t believe what a great looking pack job we have. The cost for all of the work was a bit over $ 5000 which we felt was worth every $ as we were worried that the job may not get done properly. Mike and Karen Coffey and their company Navis is the only reason I feel confident about our move to Little Rock! Thanks folks for a 5 star job!
