Brotastic! If you love bros, and who doesn’t, then Label Charlotte is the place for you. Hit the dancefloor, you’ll be surrounded by a wall of bros. Some standing, some checking their cell phones, and even a few«dancing»(maybe they are from Europe, coz they sure as heck ain’t Americans! Am I right or what?). I am telling you friend, the brotient at Label is off the charts. While enjoying the pounding EDM of some forgettable Canadian duo(also: bros, natch) I counted 4 women amongst a brocean of no less than 50 broskis. So whether you’re a hetchick, or a hommedude, or heck, maybe youre a hetdude that wants to cultivate that bromance(ain’t nothing wrong with that), then Label is the place for you. Brogasm it up. Other than the bros, what can I say… entry was um… «interesting». They run you through a weird maze thing(turn left, turn right, straight, turn left). As I kept walking and walking I had this weird feeling of a calf being led to the slaughter, or maybe I was going to turn the corner and find myself face to face with a minotaur. Kinda fun, in a Disneyworld kinda way. Notice: They’ve got security down tight. Like TSA airport tight. I wasn’t actually cavity searched, but I can’t rule out the possibility in the future. So clear out your cavities. Catch me? There are probably 30 security dudes checking the club at various points. Why inside? I’m not sure. Are clubgoers in Charlotte prone to violence? Maybe. They seemed to be nice — a bit lacking in knowledge — actually now that I think about it a lot like TSA, especially with the maze entry thing. Maybe they’re the same guys. LOL. I bet they are. Typing this I now remember I didn’t see a single female security person. Weird. See«brotastic» above. The owners really love bros I guess. At 1am the club is bouncing and packed nut to butt and I see a 300 pound security dude pushing his way through middle of the dancing crowd… COMPLETELY oblivious to the vibe. Like I said — security not the brightest bulbs, and way way too many, but they do their job. I ordered a few drinks at the bar. Prices are good(for a club), drink was strong, and served in a nice plastic cup like you’d get at a company picnic or something. I’m not talking bout no tacky red solo cup — a classy see-thru plastic cup. I mean, it didn’t have a stem like those phony plastic champagne glasses that the bottom always falls of, but it was still«classy plastic». I kinda wonder if they have any actual glassware. :) Lighting system, sound, aesthetics and bathrooms — all on point. No complaints there. Here is something I hate to bring up but feel obligated. I’m gonna get serious for a moment. The club has a weird segregation thing going on. I’m not just talking race(although there was that — one staff member went so far as to tell me — this part is for a «different clientele» and you could almost hear the airquotes when he said it), but there are parts of the club you can’t go into unless you’re like. VIP or something. Dudes, this is Charlotte, not Miami — stop trying to make VIP happen in a dance club out in the suburbs. And once I looked up at the VIP section, and lo and behold, it was«bros» that looked like they were trying too hard to impress the girls they were with. Funny. So lets wrap this up. Pros: Bros, bros, bros. Drinks. Sound & Light. Bathrooms. Aesthetics. Cons: Byzantine entry. Oppressive+clueless security. Segregation? Bros, bros, bros.

If you like poorly made drinks, underage girls in nothing but bras, and crowds shoulder-to-shoulder this place is for you! I enjoy Edm and unfortunately Label hosts many of the big names so I end up going there frequently and if there is one thing I’ve learned its this: pay the extra money to get VIP. You’ll get more standing room and can look over the crowd on the first floor. There still isn’t anywhere to sit unless you get a table but having VIP makes Label bearable.

First time at Label, went with my wife(big EDM fans) to see Ferry Corsten. The venue itself was nicely laid out. Would love to see the upper levels next time. The light and jumbo LED screen was FANTASTIC. Yes walking around can be an issue at times but news flash it’s an EDM event. If someone hasn’t dealt with people puking before than you haven’t been to a real EDM event. Awesome EDM experience Awesome venue would highly recommend this place to anyone. P.L.U.R baby, YEAH!!!

This place is really overrated. Everyone that is is employed here; from the bartenders, to the bouncers, and even the bottle girls, are extremely rude and disrespectful. They don’t want to assist you at all if you have a problem and the managers would rather you leave the bar than so much as lift a finger to help you out. Not to mention a RBV is $ 10 for about 6 oz. of drink. This whole bar/club is ridiculous and I wouldn’t mind seeing it shut down. Oh, I forgot to mention one of the bouncers punched one of my friends(that’s a girl), in the face.

You can’t bring your drinks in the bathroom. What a joke. The bathroom security guard will not watch it. So you have to leave it on this table where people have access to it! This creates a dangerous situation for anyone who needs to use the bathroom.

First time coming to label… Friends have told me how much they’ve had going out despite the expensive price they paid to be at label. Decided this Saturday to invite a handful of friends out to meet a group of out of town friends at label. I arrived late to meet everyone, around 1am due to work. I was told at the door that it was $ 30 to enter… Not for everyone in my party but each person was $ 30… I felt this was much too high, when I asked the door how come it was so high they smiled and said«sorry,» I said I was leaving then and they just shrugged their shoulders at $ 90 walking away which then turned into hundreds as I informed the line waiting outside that they were charging such an exorbitant amount. Everyone left in mass exodus. Being a former employee of many night clubs this is a poor form of business and the utter disregard for customers at such a peak business point shows their lack of understanding. Doesn’t perpetuate clientele. Would have been happy to speak to management but was denied. Maybe due to embarrassment.

Let me start off by saying being from south beach and somebody who frequents Vegas, I didn’t expect much from a ‘club’ in Charlotte. The employees were nice and professional. They did a good job selling the establishment. The crowd consisted of women wearing dresses with flip flops or sandals, and men with sneakers and jerseys and t-shirts. My husband and I dress up when we go out so it was hard to understand people rolling around the floor and pop locking by themselves, but they were having a good time, so I won’t judge. The DJ tried but his music fell within the late 90’s and recent ‘music’. It was a very different experience, but great people watching.

The venue was very nice and spacey. The restrooms were classy but, I did have an incident in the restroom that kind of ruined my time there… I wasn’t serviced at all by the attendant like all the other women who came after me. Then I noticed the little table set up with essentials for being out like tampons, hair ties, etc. I tipped and took what I needed. I came in a second time later in the night and went to get something else’s I winded up needing but I didn’t have my wallet to tip. I wasn’t aware or I guess I didn’t think that these items weren’t complementary. The attendant yells at me that«they aren’t free«very loudly and I search for my wallet frantically only to remember that I had left it. She then asks me if I have a tip or not. So I return the item which she in turn tells me to keep. I understand that I made a mistake but I am very disappointed with the way the situation was handled and it threw off my whole night. I felt like I couldn’t use the bathroom at all because I was embarrassed.

The pros: free water, the NICEST club bathrooms I’ve ever seen, and overall… nice venue. I’m sure this place would be great to visit on a night like EDM Night. Which brings me to my next point… the cons: the dance floor was SMALL for big DJs like adventure club. I feel like tickets were oversold and we could hardly breathe, let alone dance. I like having a good crowd to dance with, but we were pushed and shoved so many times because of overcrowding that it ruined any fun we could’ve had. I’d opt for another venue when the big DJs come to town.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased the early-bird tickets to see the Lil Jon DJ Set on Saturday June 27th. The tickets were purchased through Eventbrite and the event was suppose to begin at 9pm, however that didn’t happen. My friends and I arrived at 9:30pm thinking we would be in a long line waiting to get in. Not so. Very few people were in front of us and the doors were still not open. The bouncers outside told us that Lil Jon was running late and would arrive in 8 minutes, which would have been around 9:40pm. Again, not so. At this point the whole thing seemed lame, but we waited and begin going inside just after 10pm. I’ll give the venue some credit here as it was beautiful. Small, but nice. However, the place was empty. I mean, even the bartenders were on their cell phones and the bouncers inside were holding conversations with one another. This event was a joke at this point. Why would our tickets read that the event was from 9pm-2am if 1) the doors didn’t open until after 10pm, and 2) the entertainer wasn’t in the building until after 11pm? FALSEADVERTISEMENT. I inquired about leaving and coming back only to be told that there would be a re-entry fee of $ 20. FORWHAT?! We paid more for early bird tickets than anyone else arriving the night of the event and paying at that time; so why the $ 20 re-entry fee per person? Rip off! My friends and I decided to leave and go to another place in Noda for more fun — which was more crowded and cheaper might I add. I would never recommend this venue for live music to anyone. Save your money and go to a REALEDM show that begins on time. Though the venue responded to my emails regarding a refund, they refused to comply stating that it was posted on Eventbrite that all sales are final. Not so. When I checked Eventbrite for the refund policy after having left the event, it clearly stated that I had to email the venue for information regarding the return policy. They only offered me two choices 1) to attend another show in July or August on them. So far only four shows are scheduled, none of which are remotely interesting to myself or the three friends of mine whom attended this event with me. Or 2) a bar tab for the amount of what my two tickets were($ 65). This was displeasing as I do not drink that much, and if split between four people we would only get one drink each. What a joke.

The bouncers were extremely unprofessional and the club was run like a strip joint. This is classless and pointless, don’t waste your time.

The short version: don’t attempt to see live music here. Staff had no idea what they were doing and were extremely rude. The long version: When I saw that one of my favorite bands(Bleachers) was playing at a night club, I was wary, but Label promoted that the event was all ages, so my friends and I bought tickets. We waited in line for a few hours beforehand in hopes of being at the front. Before entering, they told us that everyone under 21(my friends and I are all 20) would have to go upstairs for the show. There was one person on the floor. If you’re gonna make some ages go upstairs, away from the stage, don’t promo the event as all ages. I wish I had driven to a different state to see this band instead of going to Label. Why would this venue bring a band with a predominately teenage fanbase to a night club? Eventually they let those over 18 onto the floor, but not without a fight(the poor kids in front of us were all 17 and had been waiting or seven hours, they were heartbroken). Staff was extremely disrespectful and underprepared to deal with teenagers. Also, water was $ 6. SIXDOLLARS. For a 12 ounce bottle. Most venues charge $ 2 or $ 3 for a 16 ounce bottle OR give water for free. I wouldn’t return here even if they paid me to do so.

I will say Label is the best night club in Charlotte, but that isn’t really a hard thing to do. This place is so inconsistent, sometimes the dress code is one way then another, sometimes you enter one way then another, sometimes you can’t exit the way you came in, pick a flow and stick with it. The bouncers, where do I begin. Every time you approach one its like asking them if you can have their kidney, immediately they are aggressive and get an attitude. They also walk through the dance floor all sketch like looking to bust people. The fact you can’t take your drink into the bathrooms too is just a open invite to get your drink drugged. The fact the LED screen is on the opposite side of the DJ booth always leaving me scratching my head. Finally wristbands, you need like 3 wristbands to get around this place, then to get the right wrist band you have to go outside again. Beers are like $ 5 too. This place has potential but falls short in a lot of areas.

Lasted there 10minutes and left to another club. Seems like this club is dedicated to vips only. Its segregated if your not vip your stuck in one section where you’re forced to stand the whole time and look like a loser. Looked like vip had their own dance floor. Girls where ok they looked like they where there to party while the guys looked stuck up like they were there to look pretty. We weren’t the only ones to leave another group of girls left right behind us saying the sane thing how boring and stuck up the place was.

Whaaat why are there so many terrible reviews?! The main dance floor is huge and the VIP section is awesome because you can see the whole crowd. Ivory lounge is a smaller part of the club with a different DJ, a good place to grab a drink if the main 2 bars are too crowded. The patio is amazing. A great place to get some air, dance, or hang out on the day beds while listening to yet another DJ, sometimes even better than the music inside! I mostly go to Label on Fridays, which are EDM nights and they bring in some pretty big names every now and then. I’ve also been on Thursday and Sunday night, but I don’t know what the crowd is like on Saturday. Thursday is a pretty«normal» crowd — from what I understand it’s a college night, so look for those Xs before hitting on someone lol! I had a great time and the DJ was on point. It was a 90s party so that could be biased. Friday is usually«EDM Friday» so the crowd is obviously the EDM/raver kids 18+ :(if it was 21+ it would be much better honestly. Sunday is «hip hop» night and the music was pretty good, but it got pretty ratchet by the end of the night, people getting into fights, etc lol… not sure if that was just the night I was there, but yeah. Oh and ladies, the bathrooms are huge, there’s rarely a line and the best, they’re CLEAN.

I am fairly familiar with DJing and I can say that their indoors dj on saturday night killed the beat so many times he would’ve been fired a long time ago anywhere in europe! The crowd was not the type you’d want to hang out with, very annoying and disrespectful: the security should never allow people to throw up right outside of the club, it’s trashy. No «normal» people, if you know what i mean! I might give it another try just because, but definitely wouldn’t recommend it!

Pretty good venue to be at. I am here for a New Years party and the turn out is good for being early still. Nice set up they have here. The VIP sections here are pretty live. They play a variety of music. New and old school hip hop, R&B and top 40 music.

I’m a little baffled by some of the reviews for this place. I am by no means a big time club person or EDM fan. But that being said, I go out… and I go out a lot. Some nights, we do hit up a club. And I’m glad I finally stopped into this one. I popped in Friday night for a couple drinks. My friends and I got there early before the rush. Talking to the new general manager of Label, I told him it was my first time here. Since it was slow, he took the time to give us a complete tour of the place. Label is a really pretty club. I love the giant monitor on the main wall of the club. No cover for ladies at the time we went. VIP tables look nice. There are some on the main floor and the second level that overlooks it. The Ivory Lounge is a more private section away from the main club. Super nice. It has a very cool little fireplace area. The patio is more laid back scene complete with day beds and hookahs. The bathrooms are pretty nice. A lot of the reviews I read about this place the people are all finding fault with things that are standard in a club. If you go to a club, expect it to be crowded. If there is a special DJ or celebrity guest, expect to pay money. Expect it to be even more packed.

CIAA review Label is a decent spot on the edge of downtown Charlotte, Service was good, as it was CIAA weekend the line was crazy long and it was cold but security and the people working the door were very effective and efficient with keeping the line moving and getting us in as quickly as possible. The spot is decent, it is on the small side, it is basically one big open space with a bar and a stage, not much room to dance but I will give the crowd credit they were making use of the small space as people seemed to be there to have a good time. Music was good basic hip hop, TI was the celebrity of the night and came through and performed for about 45 minutes, can’t speak on the regular nights but I assume the music is similar. Drinks were a bit pricey in my opinion for Charlotte, 12 dollars for about a 4 ounce vodka and Sprite is a bit much in my opinion especially since they weren’t too generous with the vodka and didn’t fill my cup up fully. Like I said decent spot, worth a visit if the price is right or if you get in for free.
