Great experience with these guys moving from Uptown to Dilworth. We had them pack us up on a Tuesday and we moved the next day. Ask for Frank Byrne who did a great job coordinating with our apartment building Uptown in order to get the freight elevator at the right times and Frank even came over for the pack and the move with the crew to help take apart cribs, beds, etc. Moving is never fun, and its always easy to be negative, but we had a very good experience with Frank and his crew at Graebel. I used Graebel to move Charlotte to Austin. I was told an 18 wheeler would come to my home, then would be filled up with other moves or freight along the way. I was given a minimum number of days out from pick up time to delivery and was told I could chose a 3 day«window» for delivery date. My movers came in a regular size moving truck, which gave me pause. I told the movers that I was told an 18 wheeler would come, they told me it hadn’t arrived in Charlotte yet. They would load my stuff, take it to the warehouse and then load it onto the bigger truck. I drove to Austin and wondered why, on the first day of my «window», I still hadn’t heard from Graebel with any news about when the truck would arrive. I called them only to find out my truck hadn’t even left Charlotte. My move came 2 days late. The only compensation I received was for food I expensed for the two days the truck was late. They did offer to pay for a hotel, but luckily I had a friend to stay with. I told the local Graebel office I wanted a partial refund of the move price and was given the run around. I have filed a complaint with the Charlotte Better Business Bureau. Wish I would have checked Unilocal first and wish I would have used the other company I got an estimate from.

Just like the previous review, Graebel deserves ZERO stars. stay away from this company. Moving was a nightmare, took way longer to move out then I was told and 3 days longer to get my stuff than i was promised, therefore all the other appts made for cleaners had to be cancelled. Was also told I would pay after the move was complete… they drafted my account 2 days BEFORE the move. over priced for the services rendered!!! There is NO comunication from within, with this company! and the claims process, isnt worth having a stroke over, so i agreed to 75.00 after 2 months and after no communication from the«corporate claims», we will see if I get this big money or not. Sell your furniture or pay anyone off the street before calling these guys. HORRIBLE…Better Business Burea next step.

if we could give graebel 0 stars we would! Were they on time? More or less. Is the office staff courteous on the phone. More or less. Does any of it matter if they damage your furniture? Absolutely not. The whole point is that they move your stuff and you get it back in the same state of repair as when they took it from you. if you value your possessions don’t move with Graebel and don’t fall for the«as one nation-wide company our drivers are our employees, not contractors, which allows us to hire the best» –line. If their drivers were the best, no one would ever move. They would just sell all there stuff and buy new on the other end. That is basically what Graebel is forcing us to do because even though we opted for the full coverage insurance, Graebel’s definition of «repair» doesn’t come close to getting our furniture back to the state it was in when they took possession of it. They don’t even deny that it was damaged, or that it was they who did it… Now we’re stuck in this protracted process where we have all this damaged furniture that we can’t use, replace or repair until all this gets settled. Even if we go the arbitration route(which they keep pushing rather than court), it can take 6 months. I wish I had known the truth about Graebel first, but hopefully now all you reading this will know to stay far far away from this company! Think I’m kidding look at the pictures…
