Holy Cow A Heavenly Experience

Gourmet fresh ice cream and innovative flavors, what else could you ask for on a summers night. maybe a warm brownie under my scoop of cherry vanilla. Other than that this is a hidden gem on Route 1. Definitely recommend stopping in.

I go to Rhode Island every year since I was born! I just wanted ice cream really bad one day and I always go to that plaza to go to simple pleasures! But I never tried this ice cream shop before and I wish I had in the past! First time I went there I had fluffenutter ice cream (fluff, peanut butter, and vanilla ice cream) best I ever had! They have a new menu all the time and staff and owner the friendliest people ever! All things homemade from ice cream to cones :) a bit over pricey but worth it! And second time I went it was around fall I got a pumpkin kind (I don’t remember which one but there was a few different kinds!) but it was pumpkin ice cream with oats and pumpkin cake yummmm! And my aunt owns a cottage in Charlestown right across the beach and it’s only less then 10 min away and it’s worth it even tho the line is a little wait it’s worth it! And you can sample as many flavors as you want before you choose the right one! Ps: the banana Ice cream is also very good!

I cry day waiting for Holy Cow to start it’s season again. I have been known to drive at least 50 minutes on way just for this ice cream. The array of flavors is awe inspiring and simply amazing. The staff is top notch, they always put up with my indecisiveness with such grace and kindness. I love the White Russian, Chocolate Raspberry and Cinnamon. I try to switch it up every time I go because there are so many flavors. Great outdoor seating as well. The perfect place to go in the summer!

Great Ice Cream!!! What more can you say? They have alot of outdoor seating, which was nice since we brought our dog… great selection of flavors — some a bit unusual… We will definitely be going back…

Love this place. Super nice staff, awesome flavors, nice outdoor seating. This is my new favorite ice cream place, and I am picky. Only reason not a 5 is that no one seems to know how to make Smores ice cream around here. It shouldn’t just taste like marshmallow and graham cracker. They do have good chocolate ice cream here though and that is key. Love the banana cream pie too. I sampled quite a few flavors, all good. Can’t wait to return.

I must have timed it right as their was no wait. Very friendly service. Ordered a Mighty Sundae, well made with plenty of fudge.

Best ice cream ever, combined with a patient and delightful staff! Toasted coconut is phenomenal, as is chocolate almond. And ginger to die for!

The line may be long, but the wait is so worth it. Huge list of flavors on the board. I had the chocolate cherry chip in a sugar cone. The kid’s size scoop was huge — way too much ice cream for me to finish. Wonderful chocolate base with cherries and chocolate chunks interspersed. Oh YUM. Highly recommended as a stop on your way to the beach.

Best ice cream flavors around! Love the staff and service. Only complaint wish they would have a sheet with what is in all the flavors lamented to pass out. I feel bad always asking what is in The Bomb or garbage can. However hands down the best ice cream!

Most delicious ice cream in the Charlestown and South Kingstown area. You better MOOOOOOO-​ve on down there to get some ice cream. Great ice cream with rich flavors and friendly servers!

This place is outstanding! Service with a smile and unbelievable, amazingly delicious ice cream. I had The Bomb which is quite aptly named. I’m not even exactly sure what was in it, I think it was vanilla ice cream but it was so flavorful I’m not positive, with caramel swirls, (tastes like they either make their own caramel or buy high quality ingredients, it was so buttery and salty) peanut butter cups, (but these weren’t Reese’s, they were perfectly creamy peanut butter pillows hugged in a thin milk chocolate shell) and something I can figure out maybe chocolate chip cookie crumbles of some type. DELICIOUS! I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend this place, definitely stop or drive here, even if it’s a couple hours I would make the trip!
