My friends and I ate in the dining room(actually, the little-known dining room) on Saturday. I had a lobster roll, which was very tasty. It’s the best lobster salad I’ve eaten since the Mermaid closed. I am very, very much in favor of the clam fritters. I’d never heard of such a thing before, and well, yum-a-riffic. However, for me the standout were the onion rings: 100% perfection-salty and crunchy and tasty and yummy. They were like the Platonic ideal of onion rings. I would definitely go back, and I have recommended it already.

Have driven by for 8 years and finally stopped. The meal was quite tasty and service was good. Scallop roll and onion rings were top notch. The outdoor dining area is pretty and clean. There’s even a garden oasis tucked away from the busy road. It’s the perfect spot to stop after a beach day or outing.

The food took a while, but it prepared fresh for you. The chowder was perfect and the fried shrimp were great. My wife had the fish sandwich, which she is still raving about. The reading was light and not greasy at all. As usual, the kids had burgers, which they said were better than«daddy burgers.» We’ll be going back.

There for me in my time of chowder, clam cakes, and ice cream need. Chowder comes RI style only — clear broth. Clamcakes/claim fritters better than average — lots of clams, crunchy shell, soft inside. Enjoyed eating outside — quality gardens. Can’t beat locale on Post Rd. Service was fast. Counter help helpful enough. Nothing fancy about the menu, but your typical seafood classics. More creativity to menu and some lawn games for the garden would have bumped up to 4 stars.

I think now a 3rd generation in charge — the most delicious clam cakes and RI chowder around. There is a small indoor seating area and they do a great job with takeout. The food came a lot faster than other places like the Breachway in Weekapaug, and the servers were super friendly — coming out a couple of times to check on us and make conversation. The lobster rolls were also delicious. No booze.
