Not happy and won’t go back. Worst pedicure I have had in Charleston. 9 months pregnant and she barely even rubbed my feet… nothing was relaxing about the experience. Extremely disappointed.

Attentive, friendly and experienced nail techs! I came in wanting a regular mani/pedi. After telling the nail tech that my nails have been peeling, she recommended shellac– never had it before. I love the end result. She did a great job and my nails shine like mirrors!

I was so excited to try East Bay Nails after hearing endless reviews of how amazing they were! I finally felt like I found a great nail salon in Charleston. The prices were a little high(I’m used to gel manicures being $ 20 in San Francisco), but I had to remind myself I’m not at home anymore… Everything was great! From the service to my glass of wine. My biggest complaint… my gel manicure. I’m used to the gel manicure lasting the promised 2 weeks if not longer. Only 4 days after my gel manicure, my nails started lifting. I tried to call, but couldn’t get through. I’m sad that my gorgeous gel manicure was so short lived!

Unless you have 2 hours to wait to get a pedicure I don’t recommend coming here. Always a long wait

Ask for Vivian! A true professional that is happy to serve all of her customers. My nails have never looked better. Other downtown locations don’t treat their customers like guests, but more like tasks. Not the case here. I swear by East Bay Nail Salon.

Got a(gel) manicure and a pedicure from My today! She is very sweet and great at what she does. My nails look awesome and will match perfectly to my dress for A Charleston Affair this weekend. Will definitely be coming back and referring friends! Great location as well.

So disappointed! How did this place get best of Charleston so many times?! I got a regular mani and pedi which in total took 46mins! A pedi alone should take 45min! The girl I got was very nice but it was like she was on 100 espresso shots. 1) She barely filed my nails… I had to ask her to file more. 2) She maybe spent 1 sec pushing up my cuticles and when she was cutting my cuticles, I was afraid she was going to cut off my fingers and toes… she took a chunk out of the corner of my middle finger(seen in pic) which is currently burning as I type this review. 3) During my 30 sec massage, she dumped a bunch of that cheap oil on first and then mixed lotion into it and barely applied any pressure. It almost felt like someone was creepily stroking my leg. My hand massage stopped at my wrists and lasted a whopping 20seconds. 4) The polish application was terrible! You can clearly see where the second coat went(as you can see in the pic). Overall, these ladies need to slow down!!! Never going back!

My daughter and I went to this salon for pedicures. The nail technicians talked so loudly to each other that she and I could not talk to each other at all without shouting. It was rude and unprofessional. I also had my eyebrows waxed and the job was poorly done. I will not be returning. It was pretty inexcusable for a service industry business. This is my first time reviewing on Unilocal

The best place I have ever gotten my nails done at. Their shellac has lasted on my nails for over a month consistently every time I get it. Never peels and I am usually the one who has to be the one to soak or peel off because my nails grow so long and the polish is still perfectly in tact. They take their time massaging feet/hands and make sure every nail is painted perfectly. Always offer everyone drinks and refills, staff is really great no matter who you get. I won’t go anywhere else.

I would not recommend the East Bay Nail Spa. I have been there three times(so, I have given them a chance) and I have found that the staff is far from professional. Recently, I took my husband so we could both relax and get pedicures. The gal working on me had a VERYLOUD conversation with another staff member regarding her MENOPAUSAL symptoms, among other inappropriate subjects. No more money goes from my wallet into their cash register.

Currently sitting in the waiting area with 4 others girl. We made a reservation for my friend’s birthday and we have been sitting here for 20 min waiting and the receptionist sat someone who came in after us and started working on her nails before us. The receptionist was rude and unpleasant and didn’t get us any drink. I’ve had wonderful experiences here before and hoping they are just having an off day.

This place is so relaxing. They really know how to set the ambiance with the music and furniture. I received a pedicure and the young lady was very nice and made sure at every step that I was still happy.

Let’s see, the exfoliation was non-existent, my feet didn’t look any better, the lady who did my pedicure was very rough til the point I screamed out in pain. She stabbed the side of my toe with something and now it’s infected and painful to walk on. Plus it was very pricey for such a poor job!

I didn’t like this salon at all. Loud, not clean, poor color choices for non gel customers and refused to follow my request to not cut my cuticles. Waited a long time for service and my technician was changed halfway through … Results were not great. It’s not my kind of place.

After reading the many wonderful reviews of East Bay I decided to get my nails done while on vacation in Charleston, and unfortunately am very disappointed. I regularly get gel manicures but am trying to give my nails a little break so I just went for the regular old mani… Well my manicurist did not even acknowledge my presence, just continued her phone conversation on her headphones, not even a «hello» when she hung up near the end of my appointment. She was very rushed a did a sloppy job which she did go back and clean most of it up but still left 2 spots of polish on my skin that I asked her to remove. When she was done she simply pointed over towards the drying area as I struggled to manage my bags with my wet nails. And to top it off they’re all chipped within 24 hours :( I did notice she was a little more friendly to the girl she was giving a pedicure to after me, maybe cause she wasn’t interrupting her conversation I’m not sure…

I love east bay nails! I never go anywhere else for my nails other than here. I’ve grown up in Charleston. It’s the best in town! A all of the locals will say the same

Definitely going back. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi a few days before and still ended up having to wait for about 20 minutes. That, coupled with the half-assed foot exfoliation was kind of disappointing. However my finished nails were very well done and lasted a while without chipping. Which is a miracle given how much I do doing the day. The nail tech was very nice and experienced. She let me read my book with hardly any interruption, and followed what colors I wanted on what toes perfectly. She also made sure I was comfortable temperature wise and helped me out with the massage chair. I will definitely be returning, hopefully I will get the same woman although they all seemed to know what they’re doing

Great staff, great location(if you can find parking in the private lot, which is generally pretty easy), great facility. It felt clean in there. They had a good nail polish selection. The massage chairs worked! My nail tech was thorough and very nice. Minus one star because I got a sad little leg and arm massage, and because my nail polish lost its luster and chipped pretty quickly. Also, I was never offered any wine! I didn’t even know it was an option until the owner started asking other people if they wanted some. Sad face. I still liked this place more than most nail salons in Charleston, so it will remain my default. Cash tips only.

My first shellac. I actually don’t do pink normally but the rosebud caught my eye. Great summer color! The service was prompt and the ladies were neat, attentive, and lightly conversational. Perfect experience!
