Haven’t been here in years, but I will be back when I need food fast. Tyshon at the window was extremely polite and helpful, and that goes a long way with me, and where I decide to spend my money! Thanks!

Recently I ordered a ten piece fried fish meal for my family and I using a coupon that saved us six dollars. Unfortunately, I had to wait about ten minutes before I could even place my order. It seemed like they were understaffed although it was about 6:00p which was peak dinnertime but still… The meal came with two large sides(I chose fries and cole slaw) and eight hush puppies or four bread sticks(I chose the latter). Apparently Captain D’s has changed their french fry recipe in the past year or so because they aren’t as crispy as they used to be. I prefered them the old way. Now they taste fairly bland. The fried fish also don’t seem quite as large and flaky as they used to be a few years ago. All in all, the food is good(especially at the discounted price).

I was a little afraid of such cheap seafood. It was honestly not horrible. The shrimp and clam strips were meaty, not just all bread. Most of their sides were just okay. Nothing to go wild over. The prices are good though, so if you’re craving fried shrimp it’s a win. Staff was friendly. Dining room looked like it never gets truly clean, same as the bathroom. Actual silverware freaked me out a little. I guess I just question a fast food place’s ability to clean it well? Overall not bad though.

I always stop here on my way back home. I want to give five stars because of the food. I love this food. It’s so good. I choose to ignore the crappy attitude from the immature little girls. They know who they are and they need retraining in customer service. I eat my good food and leave, thank you Chef you’re the best.

I’ve never had Captain D’s before, so I had to give it a shot just to see what it’s all about. We went through drive-thru and they actually got our order correct(unlike some places). I suppose you can say they’re just like Long John Silvers in Chicago. The only difference is that they have a better menu. The food was juicy, not over cooked. the oil used was clean, not overused. The vegetables(broccoli, green beans) were good as well. What disappointed me about the food was that once we opened up the corn on the cob, it looked like the end of it was already eaten… imagine about 1−½ inches worth of bites. I immediately called the manager and she insisted that she knew what I was referring to and that she can guarantee that they were not bite marks. She explained that it had something to do with the holder that they place the corn into in order to get the skewers in. However, she agreed that it shouldn’t have been given to us that way and so she offered a free meal on our next visit. Brownie points for that! Anyway, I think I’ll give them another shot sometime when I’m in the area.
