Decent sushi place for Westchester. I’ve ordered delivery from here often, and it typically comes at a reasonable time, and well packaged. The sushi is fresh and the menu is extensive. It’s a bit pricey but overall a nice addition to the community.

This is a great place to stop by for lunch or dinner. It is a little bit pricier than other restaurants with the same kinds of food, but Kira has very good food and attentive staff. However, there was a strange disconnect between what was advertised on the menu and what actually came out of the kitchen today. I had a lunch special(stir fried udon with chicken) but instead of coming with soup or salad, as it stated on the menu, the waitress didn’t ask me for my preference and the meal appeared with a side of shumai! Well, at least it was tasty. In the future I will double check what comes with my meal with the waitress when I order.

I eat here almost everyday. The avocado salad has a yummy ginger dressing with mixed greens. Sushi is really good: I usually get the avocado roll and the vegetable roll. They offer brown rice. The chinese stir-fry dishes are not as delicious, also avoid the soba noodles — it has an interesting after taste.

A multi time visitor, a lover of sushi, and a local, familiar to the many of the sushi restaurants around this area, the fish here is as good as any I have eaten in Westchester and New York, the prices are very reasonable and although there is a new ownership with less friendly service, the trip is definitely worth it. Both Thai and Japanese food is excellent. I do limit my diet to fish and non meat products.

What a great little restuarant — the atomosphere is pleasant enough though there is this sensation of being in a basement-like space. That said, the décor is pleasant. They have a nice wine list and cocktail selection, though I did not sample any during this visit. The menu has a cool array of asian specialities — a mixture of sushi, Japanese, Chinese and Thai. My son ordered a rainbow roll and the fish looked as though it was probably alive just a few hours before landing on his plate. I had the pad thai, which was delicous. Our table of seven people were waited on in a timely fashion and everyone was very pleased with their meal. The dessert menu also looked really cool — especially the selection of sorbets. Unfortunately, time did not allow for the after dinner treats but it will be something to look forward to next time.

In my discerning opinion– Kira has the best sushi in Westchester. I’m not talking about california or specialty rolls; my claim is based on the quality of the fresh fish as presented in nigiri sushi or sashimi. Fish quality and freshness is top notch; sushi rice is perfectly seasoned; wait staff is friendly and very quick. I haven’t made my way through all of the cooked food menu, but what I have had has been for the most part, excellent. Prices are reasonable for the area, but they do unfortunately charge extra for brown rice, which does stink. Sufficient beer/wine/sake menu and delicious desserts. Pad thai and terriyaki dishes are also excellent.
